This is the second time in ten years we have contracted Distinctive Tile and Marble, most recently to run tile through the entire house and redo two bathroom showers. The work and craftsmanship is outstanding. Joey is very responsive, shows up on time, when he says he will and keeps in touch throughout the process, sending frequent pictures. He works with you, answers questions and prices fairly. What more can you ask for?

I am extremely pleased with the results of my deck remodel. Going from the old river rock (that had varying thicknesses) to travertine tiles was tricky. Joey did a tremendous job of bringing my vision for my deck to reality with precision and attention to detail.

Joey did a phenomenal job with our bathroom; he tiled the floor as well as the shower and we couldn't have asked for better work! He was incredibly easy to work with and communicated every step of the way, both pre-project and throughout. He was on time every day, never left a mess, and finished the project within the original timeframe and budget. Throughout our home renovation we've hired several different contractors for different projects, but Joey is the only one I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone who asked.

My husband and I made the decision to have our DIY Master Bathroom professionally tiled oppose to doing that part ourselves. We contacted several local tile installation companies to request an estimate on our master and guest bathrooms. Distinctive Tile & Marble responded quickly where others didn’t even bother returning our call. Joey (owner/operator) was reasonable in his scheduling opportunities to come out and review both spaces that we inquired about.
He was more than receptive in our DIY ideas and our desired end results. He showed real interest in what design we were aiming to achieve, while providing his professional opinion on how we could achieve them.
Joey provided a clear concise written estimate, to which he went over every step from start to finish in grave detail. He demonstrated a high professional level of patience while entertaining all our questions, concerns, indecisiveness, and the dreaded what if’s that accompany the unknown uncertainties.
Upon the commence of our project, Joey was communicative and punctual. Each day he displayed an elevated level of respect for our home, our dogs and us. He maintained a clean, safe, and tidy work environment during the working hours. He took it a step further to ensure he left the space and our home clean and safe. More importantly, he ensured that our curious dogs would not and / or could not find anything that would get them in trouble or worse… hurt.
Given that the master bathroom had been renovated by us. Joey, with his extensive wealth of knowledge and years of dedication and experience perfecting his craft, was able to take our far from perfect DIY bathroom and transform it into a dream spa oasis.
Joey kept our design goals front and center while providing us with options, pros & cons of those options, and his professional opinion on how to achieve the look we envisioned.
We encountered some design and renovations execution flaws which led to some impromptu modifications, that Joey was able to overcome, with minimal impact to the schedule. And, due to his skills, made the modifications seem effortless, while maintaining the integrity of his craftsmanship and our vision. Joey always demonstrated compassion and comprehension, as well as encouragement in our decision of “how much or how little” we wanted done. He never pressured us into doing more or less than we originally discussed. We never felt pressured to change our design in any way. We weren’t discouraged away from doing the pre-tile construction, he even provided us tips and tricks to help with our other projects as well as the guest bathroom that he will be tiling. He showed genuine interest in how we were going to finish the dry/non-tiled part of our master and was genuinely excited to see how it comes out.
Joey is a very personable, respectful, and highly skilled individual who displays true passion for his work. We feel we couldn’t have picked a better company to call upon. You can see in his work the love and dedication he has in his field. Alternatively, he holds himself to an increasingly high standard that even his customer couldn’t, in order to maintain a final product, his is proud to put his name on. He can achieve all this and still be a humble, grateful, professional who treats you like family and not just another tile job. We have already expressed our need to have him do our future indoor and outdoor projects. Which is why we scheduled with him to tile our guest bathroom in the near future.

Joey and Antony are real professionals and know what they are doing! When I shopped around about my shower room remodeling, I got the fare price from them. They are honest people you can trust and rely on. As soon as they started to work you know you are in good hands, nothing to worry about! Joey has done an excellent job! He arrived early and worked on the schedule. He cleaned up the working area everyday when he finished the job. My new shower room looks fantastic! Joey from Distinctive Tile is great to work with. Highly experienced, great communicator and just a all around good person. If you are an out of town or seasonal resident customer who can not be here while he is doing your work he will send you progress pictures daily and keep you up to date on his progress.

There are not words sufficient to describe the quality of the work done by this company at our house. We have lived in this house for 25 years and had much work done over the years. This was, without question, the best experience we have had with a service provider doing work on our house.

Joey and Junior are high level professionals. Their tiling skills show a high level of expertise.

We needed to tile the entire first floor of our house plus a kitchen backsplash. Unfortunately, we initially made a bad choice of flooring company. The first company (not Distinctive Tile) did everything wrong and walked off the job leaving us with a mess. We knew we needed someone to clean up the mess and do the tiling job the right way. We received a recommendation for Distinctive Tile and decided to give them a try. They more than exceeded our expectations.

The first thing they had to do was remove the tile the first company laid. None of it was worth preserving. We were already exhausted with the process at this point because this was to be our second floor demo. We remembered how disruptive the first company's work was and feared we may be in for more of the same.

Not the case with Distinctive. It was like night and day. They were very careful moving our furniture back and forth, always using sliders. They spent hours covering our furniture and sealing off other parts of the house to limit the dust from the tile demo. At the end of each day, they cleaned their work area and left our house in as livable a condition as possible. The first company (not Distinctive) used what they called a dustless system to remove the flooring. Joey and Junior used a simple jackhammer. Yet, because they took the time and effort to thoroughly cover the area and clean up at the end of each day, the accumulation of dust was much less.

Joey and Junior told us when they would be here and were on time every day. Their work habits are admirable.

When it came time to lay the tile, they did not get in a rush like the first company. They were methodical in their approach, taking whatever time was needed to do the job the right way. The tile we choose was somewhat difficult to work with. They had to be very careful laying it, which meant more time. The job took 2-3 days longer than anticipated, but they did not charge a dime more for the extra time it took to do the job right. If you want the job done in a hurry, don't choose Distinctive Tile. If you want it done right, Distinctive Tile should be your choice.

Now we have a beautiful new floor we will enjoy for decades to come. We are so pleased with the work done by Distinctive, we recommend them without reservation. In this flooring project, we have experienced the worst and the best of tile companies. The nightmare and the dream. Distinctive Tile is the best and the dream. Be sure you make the right choice. You will be pleased with Distinctive Tile!

We had a whole house tiling job and highly recommend Distinctive Tile! The floor looks fantastic and Joey and Julio went through a lot of effort to make the process as comfortable for us as possible. We recommend choosing Distinctive Tile because of:
* amazing craftsmanship - your high end floor is only as good as your installer!
* punctuality - for three weeks they always showed up exactly on time
* excellent communication - we appreciated the daily morning and end of day powwow
* obsessive cleaning - every day before they left they cleaned the floor and put all the tools out of the way. The job was much less dusty and dirty that we had expected.
* great planning skills - we were able to live in the house during the tiling, which saved us a lot of $$ on hotel cost!
* being honest, friendly, courteous and helpful beyond the tiling job
