DOG Hotels Fort Lauderdale

My dog is usually very shy and a loner when it comes to boarding. When I brought him to another place, my dog would jump back into the car when I'd bring him there.

Louis has found a way to bring my little boy out of his shell. He found the right balance of dogs that my dog likes. My dog looks very happy when I come to get him. I saw him stealing kisses from Louis which gives me confidence in D. O. G. Louis has been amazing and runs beautiful vacation home for dogs in the South Florida area.

Had the best experience at DOG hotel Fort Lauderdale. I had an emergency work trip and they took my large breed intact 1yr old male “Gizmo” at the last minute before closing at 7pm. I was in tears as I am a single dog mom and had absolutely no one else avail to help care for him, all my regular sitters were not avail or had other clients. I needed help for 2 nights/days. I was not able to see him on camera but they posted pics of him on the instagram story which brought me so much joy! I called a few times and they gave me updates. When I picked my baby up, Luis generously spent 30-45 minutes with him, exposing him to other male dogs just to socialize in a very controlled area (on his leash) and I learned so much about intact males & their powerful hormones, etc. Only in the past couple of weeks have I experienced brand new onset of aggression between Gizmo and other male dogs and I was so clueless as to why so sudden. The place was super clean as well, and everyone working there was super friendly, met 3-4 staff members.
They did allow my Gizmo to play with the females and he had the best time! Will be back for sure, I loved that the dogs are playing inside and Not always in the hot sun for extensive periods of time as it is just too hot out for them here in south florida. The only downfall was that the room the dogs sleep in overnight has 4 tall walls and Gizmo can’t see anything. He LOVES to “people watch”. Would pay $25 extra per night if at least he could watch people & dogs walk by. It helps keeps him mentally stimulated.
But for other dogs, the four walls may be more beneficial, especially for day care, when the rooms are used for “nap time”
So this is just my personal preference to have a window for Gizmo to look out of. Overall great experience!

We have been using D. O. G. Hotels for doggy daycare twice a week for our two dogs, Chief and Nibs, for a couple of months. They are so excited every time they get to go, and they come home exhausted and happy.

We have also used them for boarding. At their old boarding place, they almost seemed traumatized when we would pick them up after overnight stays. When we pick them up now, they are excited to see us, and not in distress. I highly recommend them for daycare and boarding!

Update: we just celebrated one year at D. O. G. Our dogs are so excited when we ask them if they want to go to daycare. They are well taken care of and well loved when they are there.

My Chance told me when he got home yesterday that he loves! D. O. G. Hotel! The staff is great. I definitely recommend!

I have been going to D. O. G for 6 years leaving my dog there many, many times for daycare. After coming back from being up north for the summer, today I stopped in to drop Levi off for a half day of daycare. I was told his vaccinations were out of date, and Levi couldn't stay unless I showed proof of vaccinations (a reasonable request). I asked if they could call the vet (who is right down the street) to confirm he's up to date (they have always done that in the past), and was surprised when I was told they no longer do that because the vet may give them "wrong information". REALLY? That's your reason? Come up with a better one or just say, we don't want to do that anymore. Then I was asked "don't you have them on your phone"? There's many places that have doggie daycare. D. O. G.always stood out to me based on the customer service. Not any more. You've just lost a loyal client.

D. O. G.is the only place that I trust with my girl Kylie, and we have been clients for at least 5 years. Everyone is so kind, the facility is spotless and you can see your pups every day on their social media.

It took me a lot of work to find a place that gave me confidence that my dog ​​ (son) would be 100% safe. I was fortunate to find this place and I really feel very happy and calm that my baby is here. He comes almost all week and they take care of him, they give him love, they take the time to help him eat because he is a puppy and it is difficult to get him to eat sometimes and they take the time to even give him a few strokes of the hand to Don't let him go without eating These people are very human and very compassionate with dogs. So far I have felt very calm with this shop and we will continue here with my dog. Furthermore, he is so happy to see them which shows that the treatment they are giving him is pleasant?

I am extremely disappointed with the recent DOG policy changes. I have an AmStaff Terrier that used to go to DOG regularly from March 2022 to August 2022, when we moved. She had her assessment, is sweet and playful, and we loved taking her to the facility. I recently moved back to the area and was informed by management that purely because of her breed (not because of any negative interactions they had with her in the 6 months we took her there), she is no longer allowed to socialize with other dogs and would be placed in solitary if I brought her there. It is sad that 6 months of actual experience and interaction with a dog is suddenly being completely ignored and I will gladly take her to other facilities that I know she is welcomed and loved.

Absolutely amazing place to take your dog to! Very VERY clean! And they take the best care of your dog! Chopper comes home so happy when he visit D. O. G! The people are Absolutely amazing! They even take videos of your dog while you are away on social media! Highly recommend this place over any place in the fort Lauderdale area. ️ ️️️️

Excellent service for my beloved pet Lola the staff is very friendly and attentive to what my dog ​​needs, thank you guys are the best!

Friendly staff, always greets my pup by name when we walk in. Luis pays close attention when giving instructions about meal times. Love when they give me updates on what my pup is doing/who they are playing with, etc.when I’m away.

I've been taking my dog Reza here for the past 6 years since moving to Lauderdale and we used to love DOG. The service used to be amazing and they knew who we were and I didn't have a care in the world leaving Reza there. A few months ago they changed the entire staff and now I'm afraid of the treatment any dog is receiving being left alone there. While on vacation this past weekend I received 3 phone calls with varying information regarding her stay - all of which should've been taken care of prior to leaving. This was strike 3 for me since the management and staff changes. I also feel as though the staff is resentful and if you have an issue with them it changes the way they treat your pet while you aren't there. I'm disgusted by the staff and communication and services being provided. I've recommended about 20 people to DOG in the past and now i'm spreading the word that no one should be leaving there pets here until the owners step up and hold their staff accountable and get the service back to the standards they used to have. You've taken the cheap road and for the prices you charge our dogs don't deserve this and you no longer deserve my business or any one's. BE ADVISED!

The owners or management are welcome to contact me on this post but I stand by my word and I am pleased to see I'm not the only one making these reviews. Very sad.

Since the switch up of workers this place have gone down. The new manager is garbage. Very unprofessional and prejudice. He tend to friend dogs that pays nothing before the ones that actually pay. They have lost so many customers since the change! Sorry but you guys need to do better! You don’t even deserve a 1, maybe a -1!

My fur child loves coming here for daycare. The staff is always so kind, and treat my boy as if he was their own. Their flexible hours and vast amount of services is great for someone as busy as me. Definitely would recommend.
