Dollar General, Daytona Beach FL

This place is a joke every time I come here the line is 20 people long and this time I watch some raggedy lady come out of the back office talking on the phone ha ha Chi Chi and while there was 12 people in line she went up to the one cashier that was working hard and said say hi it’s my mom laughing went outside she smoked a cigarette and then her sorry self of a person came back inside and decided to open another register and help out after there was two people left in line raggedy as hell

Shelves were empty. It smelled weird and there was a very long line that didn't move so I put my item back and went to a different store.

Some of the staff can be extremely rude & unprofessional. They asked my friend to remove his backpack, which I honestly didn't think was necessary so I called corporate about it. There is no law or no rule mentioned or supposed to be enforced unless it's children. Only if there are more than three or four children together- They to take their backpacks off and leave them at the front, they must, or supposed to be with an adult.

Love THIS store for quick trips, last min needs etc. Always well stocked and clean. Andy the Mgr is Fabulous - very helpful and great personality

Reasonable place to shop. Some prices are good, others not so good. Better overall than Convenience stores.

It's a all around great store had very nice things there are some staff members whom profile people that's a no no it's not ok that u judge ad sim ad they walk thru the door like for instance I walk in all taft me and think Boom she gonna steal so they follow me around the store but when I go up to the resister they're kinda like shocked Cuz I pull out money I don't know id makes me feel some type of way and I be embarrassed. So please just stop

Would not allow me (a motorcycle rider) to enter with my 100%real leather backpack.and would not be responsible and/or liable for it and/or any of the contents therein. I had the same problem with another franchise and a company that would not allow me to enter with my backpack but would allow any women enter with their personal bags/purses.
But my disturbance is not discriminatory, even though it's there.but the fact that they mentioned it to be a company policy and would not take responsibility for the very action that they are requesting of their customers.if you asked me to leave my backpack/personal bag/belongings.supply me with the proper means of a property receipt of all inventoried items that way I can enjoy not only my shopping but the piece of mind that my personal belongings are safe or at least insured.
See.but this is why "no" company in the country can ask anyone to leave their personal belongings at the front/register.because if they do.they are liable.and that means that they would have to carry the insurance for it.
Two companies have already had to educate every employee under this very same issue.
Still considering whether I should pursue legal action against the very ignorance of the employees at this location.

This store is very organized and the employees are always nice especially miss Kathy and miss Brenda

Great small town store very helpful and friendly The manager andy should be given a raise as well he is very nice

I tried to call to let them know they have a problem with their gel air freshners all having black mold on them but they keep picking the phone up and hanging up on me when I try.so yeah.don't buy their air freshners.infant id probably stay away from that entire dollar isle

The employees in this store that actually wait on customers are fantastic. Management sucks. They have one person running a register when there is up to 10 people in line and the manager will not open a second register to get people out the door quickly.

Always out of things and never consistent. Staff is very nice but lack of product makes it a pain to have to check if they have it.

Shop in this Dollar General Store frequently, only complaint is that the location is very warm inside, air conditioning.

The manager is easily my favorite person to deal with in any store I shop at, he remembers faces and builds a rapport with customers, his attitide reflects in the staff as they are always helpful and courteous. I will continue to shop at this particular branch even if it's out of my way.

Plain store has the food department in it frozen food department nice place to make a quick stop to stop get milk bread whatever you need beats having to go into a grocery store and wait forever prices are good

Dollar General is a great place to pick up necessities. Often times at a better price than WalMart. This Dollar General has a good selection of beachwear and sunscreen. Nice employees, and a clean bathroom! A+

This location needs better customer service. The attitudes given by the staff and management system is uncalled for. I will be contacting corporate and letting them know this location needs training

Love it, been coming in here for years since i moved here from TN i love the manager andy and the cashiers they are always sweet and helpful

One two buckle my shoe Dollar General is a Who three four shut the door I need these points for this review I'm going to just keep blah blah blah on until I get enough words on here to add up to a good review that way it's detailed and I get my points because it has to be so long in order for me to get my points that's why I just keep talkin and talkin that way it puts down a lot of words and I get my 21 points for the stupid review

I asked if they sold garden hoses and the MANAGER said "I have about 8 or 9 inches of black hose for you" I was disgusted! I called corporate and I don't think they ever did anything about it because he still works there! $
