Don Carlin Restaurant, Sunrise FL

A co-worker and I were working nearby and stopped in to give it a try. We were nicely surprised by how good the food was. My co-worker had never eaten Cuban food before, and was blown away by the Medianoche & colada.
I will definitely come back when in the area.

Rabo encendido (Oxtail) is the best in town try it with their yellow rice, red beans and fried Tostones topped with garlic sauce… THE BEST, Fuego!

A delightful restaurant with incredible fresh and authentic Cuban food at a great price. This was our first time visiting but we will definitely be back soon.

This place is up the street from my old Workshop.

I used to regular this place just for the Cuban coffee and empanadas.

I always make it a point to stop by here if I'm ever in town visiting family or passing though.

I definitely miss the food from south Florida the most and I certainly appreciate it more now that I moved away.

This is a great restaurant, so stop by and promote this place with your business.

Make sure it stays around for a very long time.

You won't be disappointed, according to my experience.

Some of the food items here is not consistent, sometimes good sometimes not so great, my opinion. The staff is super attentive and always nice. The place itself not a 5 star but not bad, it's comfortable.

Very good service! A hidden gem with great Cuban authentic food. Absolutely the best garlic Yuca! A must try for us locals in Sunrise/Plantation! If your a tourist and seeking great Cuban food … I just pointed you to one of the bests.

Food is delicious, just a bit over salted (creole & picadillo) - ease up on sodium please. Great staff!

Don Carlin is the absolute best. This was my first visit and, the food did not disappoint. The cuisine is authentically Cuban. It is the best Cuban food I’ve had in more years I care to count. As a connoisseur of Cuban food, I highly recommend Don Carlin Restaurant.

Bad experience, they charge extra for you pickup your own food not delivery and another convenience fee. Asking why if I pickup and don't using facilities and owner with attitude say that is my policy if you don't like it go other place.

I just tried this spot and The Ropa Vieja is deliciousssss! Definitely ordering from here again.

I've only ever had Rabo (oxtail) Friday lunch special all the times I've been here. It's the most outstanding version with fall off the bone meat, delicate sauce with some olives, paired with rice. Red beans are very very good. Service is friendly, and food is fresh. Finish it off with a cuban coffee! Perfect Friday lunch.

Great service. The prices are set perfectly as well as the dim light setting. Got are food fresh and very fast. Had a coffee afterwards and was all good to go. Definitely will be going back. Goof family owned business.

Haven't found Cuban food quite this good anywhere else in Ft. Lauderdale/West Broward County.especially in a tucked away strip mall next to a Latino barbershop and bodega!

From the mariquitas with a uniquely delicious garlic mojo to pork tamales to unctuous caldo gallegos, plump tasty fresh beef empanadas to the flavorful beef picadillo with fried sweet plantains and arroz moro.there was pure love from the kitchen on each and every plate! Their homemade salsa picante should be bottled and sold!

I totally get why they've been around for 17 years as a standalone family restaurant. You gotta check out this spot! Very reasonably priced!
