Who loves Peruvian food? If you are ever in Fort Walton, Florida, make sure you stop by Doncha Peruvian Restaurant. It is located on 100 Perry Ave. It is not too far from Okaloosa Island Pier. This unassuming restaurant was started by an immigrant from Peru. According to their website, " After arriving in the U. S. A. Pedro began to long for the food that he had grown to know and love from his home country, Perù. That longing sparked a great desire to create a dining experience that would transport his fellow peruvians, as well as any other customer, back in time to the kitchen they grew up in. " As an immigrant myself, the story resonated with me because food is definitely a big part of my family gathering.

Let's talk about the most important thing, which is the food. The food was so good! It was delicious and flavorful. The portion was big. We could have shared one plate. You know the food is good if you keep saying it's so good as you eat it. It did taste " homemade" and not something from frozen and heated up.

The waiter was nice. The recommendations he made for us were delicious.

There is a homey atmosphere. It's not fancy in there, so if you are looking for a romantic atmosphere, this is not it. It's cute and quaint.

So, stop by if you are looking for a great dining experience, good service, and delicious food.

Ate here while visiting family for the holidays - great vibes and better food. Service was excellent and fast, and will absolutely be back to try everything else. Can't recommend enough.

We enjoyed the many peruvian menu options. Our server was incredibly attentive and checked on us often. The shrimp was fresh and tasty. We really enjoyed the live band that livened up the room.

Enjoyed a great lunch at Don Cha today. We were seated immediately. Our server patiently helped us with the menu as it was our first time there. I chose a steak and my wife had beef stew. Both were very good. We'll be back to try other dishes.

Wasn't familiar with Peruvian food but after lunch at Don Cha I have a feeling I'm going to be. Wonderfully welcoming hosts, reasonable prices, and huge portions of delicious comfort food. Give it a shot, every thing my party ordered was great.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The hostess and a waitress were cheerful and helpful. The food was great. Came out hot and with alot of flavor. We had the fried hot dogs and french fries which were better than we anticipated and tasted great with the different dipping sauces. For the entrees and a pasts dish with fried chicken and the the frejoles don seco.cooked to perfection and full of flavor. As we left whom we assume was the owner stopped us to wish us a Happy New Year and a Merry Christmas which was very kind and thoughtful of him. We most definitely will be back again.

We were in here just per 3 days and we just were eating whole of the days in here. The food is literally so good, the services are very nice I can’t explain how fantastic is the food, and a very good portion. Just love this place

Absolutely delicious! I enjoyed every bite! It set the mood for my entire day. I will definitely be back to scarf down more from the wonderful menu.

This was the first time we had Peruvian food and it will not be our last. The food was delicious. The plating was very appetizing. The gentleman who served us was excellent. Patient and kind. The beef was super tender, the fish was flakey. The seasoning on the vegetables was light and refreshing. The chicken, delicious. We attempted to try a huge variety. My 14 year old ate everything. She loved the pasta. We really can't say enough. Def go. Try it for yourself.

The food was fresh and delicious served with a smile and absolutely impeccable manners. The space was welcoming, beautifully decorated and immaculate! We are excited to return and experience more of the extensive menu.

I am Peruvian, the restaurant is 1 hour and a half away but the food is so delicious that no matter how it was run, my family was happy and the service is good. 100% recommended

The best Peruvian food in town. The chef is amazing. Outstanding team I will definitely bring the family in to enjoy some top notch cuisine. The Cilindrada meats were my favorite.
