Went in for a graduation ceremony. Typical college arena, clean and comfortable. Parking was an issue and the ceremony wasn't even that large.

I want to preface this review by saying that I was here for a focus group and not a performance. As such, I'm not speaking on the arena area as it's been decades since I've been in that part.

With that said, Civic Center staff was nice and helpful and the bathrooms on the first floor were clean. Most of all though the bathrooms were not gendered. That's HUGE for a transgender person, and it is appreciated.

The staff was very professional and nice. The EMT (Shawn) who gave me my shot was excellent. He was patient and encouraging. The Vaccination site was very, very organized. A really great experience!

This place was well organized and orderly. I received my vaccine and had a 15 minute waiting period just to make sure I was okay. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Very professional.

Covid immunizations are handled efficiently and professionally. Fast and friendly, done in one hour!

I got my Covid immunization shots in the Exhibition Hall on the ground floor. FSU is doing an excellent job managing the process, well staffed with plenty of social distancing in the huge room. There is a typical immunization form to fill out first (remember to bring reading glasses) and a 15 (or perhaps 30) minute observation period after the jab. For me, it took less than 45 minutes in total.

Last night I attempted to take my fiancé to a FSU basketball game at the Donald Tucker Center for his birthday. First let me make clear, I have severe asthma and the seats we had were somewhat far away. When we finally got to our seats and sat down. I made sure we weren’t around people (and their wasn’t due to seating arrangements so it was fine), pulled my mask down. Took a puff of my inhaler and was just trying to breathe for a moment before pulling it back up. Within the 5 mins of this happening, a bald man came up VERY passive aggressively got in my face with no manners, no kind gestures (Literally within forearms reach of me I could smell his breath.) As he proceeded to start threatening both of us. Stating that we better be wearing our masks or he will have someone escort us off the property. I asked him “Sir, sir please step back out of my face. This is NOT 6 feet, you are making me uncomfortable. ” As he was! Both of us, EXTREMELY uncomfortable with his face being in mine so closely. When I asked him to please do that, he grabbed his walkie-talkie and started yelling “SECURITY SECURITY. ” As if we were the ones being threatening? Or angry? Which we were not at all, I was asking him to respect my boundaries. We agreed with him. So I then went to go get us some drinks, and food from the snack bar. I look over to my left and this man is pointing at me to a pair of cops! I was shocked! Why were we being targeting for no reason? After we were already completely compliant. I get back to my seat, pull my mask down to take a sip of my drink. Then a sheriff comes over (with his hand on his gun!) and tells us (two grown 30 year old adults with purchased tickets) that if we do not comply and listen, if we are defiant again, that he will have us ARRESTED for trust passing! I said “Sir Even if I am drinking my beer? ” I also did not feel the need to explain my medical conditions for I didn’t think it’s their business. He replied “IF AN ADULT TELLS YOU TO WEAR A MASK YOU RESPECT WHAT THEY SAY! YOU NEED TO DRINK MODERATELY AND STILL KEEP THE MASK CLOSE OR YOU WILL BE ESCORTED OUT. ” Telling me how to drink my own beer? A grown woman! We very sadly ended up leaving because we were so unnecessarily uncomfortable at this point with the false attention he brought to us. This was the worst experience I’ve ever been in. The “manager of security” should be fired for the way he speaks to people. I will never purchase tickets from the Donald Tucker Center again because of the way we were treated.

Went to the Tuck to watch Lady Noles beat Florida 81 - 75.
Masks required, social distancing. Seating spaced out. Food booths available.

The center is nice enough for what it is, and I'm sure it's great for FSU basketball games, however the use of it for Monster Jam was very disappointing. It simply isn't large enough for the event, and many other spectators commented the same. The announcers tried very hard to get the crowd excited, but when the trucks can barely do the tricks, like the advertise on TV, it's a HUGE let down! You pay good money (the ridiculous fees attached to the ticket price are roughly 50% the cost of the tickets themselves!), and you expect an awesome show! We hope Monster Jam returns to Tally, but chooses another arena!

I went to see ZZ Top in concert and it was a great concert and that was great. But about halfway through my mother, who is handicapped from a bad wreck last year, needed to get some pain medication from sitting in the bleachers. Which seemed fine especially since we parked right in front of the door due to her handicap permit. This is where she was wrong because they would not allow her back in even though they watched her go to her car. This was my birthday gift and it kind of ruined my night because I was gonna spend it with my family. But even though that was bad I still very much enjoyed ZZ top and wish they would choose a nicer staffed facility next time.

An awesome and hospitable event space. The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center definitely does it right. The employees are extremely helpful whether your a student, or any regular person/organization. I've been both, and have enjoyed my experience every time.
