Double Branch Brewing & Bites reviews
18 5.18.23 OMG, no more Food, no more game room, sure its quiet now but gOOd grief I am worried aboit them and their
continuance.the beer selection today is impossible to find any IPA worth drinking much less Paying for.
RoOting főr you DBŁ BRANCH!
Great selection of beers and for IPA on draft and 2 of those 4 were phenomenal!
Not sure when it changed hands but it is apparent. Credit surcharges, limited menu, abysmal service. Used to love the food here not sure what happened.
Won't ever come back here apparently the bartenders don't care about Florida law. Came in with my service dog and they told me I had to sit on the patio. I told them I have a service animal and all documentation for my service animal and they told me no animals are allowed inside the building. THAT IS AGAINST THE LAW! This place needs new staff or to get shut down for breaking the law. Shame on all of you.
Visited this weekend and was very disappointed. The server had no idea what in the world she was doing. There was just one other couple there besides, my husband and I and another couple that was with us. Took us forever to get served and mixed up our bills. Before we had left, we had looked up the menu and we were kind of excited to have some good food, but when we got there, the restaurant that was adjacent to the brewery was no longer there and the wall was blocked off. Double branch is just very sterile and very uninviting and the beer was nasty. I will be surprised if they’re still in business a year from now. Will not be going back. It says double Branch, Brewing, and Bites, but the food is gone. They need to update their website and their Facebook page.
My husband and I went in tonight for drinks and dinner. We walked in and sat at the bar top while the female bartender was working, she was a brunette in her mid 20’s. We were never greeted or acknowledge at all by her, she never took a drink order from us or brought us a menu. Another man walked up to the bar and he was helped immediately, and then an older woman walked up to the bar and was also helped immediately. After sitting there for 15 minutes without her saying a word to us we got up and left and she still refused to speak a single word. The bar was not busy at all so there is absolutely no excuse for this.
The beers are great, which is the only reason for 3 stars. Everything else has serious room for improvement.
Good beer, unfortunately service falls below standard.
Update 4/24/23
Friends convinced me to give this place the benefit of the doubt. Somehow service has become even worse.
Cool spot in a neat shopping area. Both beers were solid, my small pour stout was good staff was nice and a very large space with food games music and welcoming atmosphere. Only criticism is they could use some new glassware.but all else was good this visit our food was very good
Wonderful time on St. Patty’s Day. Food was great, drinks were great, and staff was incredible. I highly recommend Double Branch.
I've been to this brewery a handful of times in the past year or so. The previous experiences were great and the place was crowded. Went on the evening of 3/7 and it was a ghost town. Beer was OK but my buddy got a peanut butter stout and it had zero peanut flavor. Small posted sign that there is a 2% + $0.15 charge for credit cards, which isn't really acceptable at a restaurant in today's world.
Posted hours are until 9PM but the waitress was sent home at 8 (fair enough, not enough business to keep her there anyway) and I personally witnessed the manager or owner turn away 5 different people who all left without ordering, I guess he already closed the till. He should have offered them free samples if he had already closed the register which would have guaranteed their future return.
Front door was locked at 8: 15 and lights were turned off on us at 8: 37, which is when my friend and I left. I won't return due to the above issues, which is a shame because it is in a good location with a nice patio.
Love this place! Also enjoy working here! Owners are great! So many new things happening currently and in the near future. Come see us soon!
I started going to this brewery when I worked at a Bakery in the crates before they opened the crates.the manager and staff were amazing.and I would say my last visit was actually an opportunity to work for them and it lasted 1 day.the head cook quit the day he was gonna show me all the insight on the food and the I asked the owner for a raise and he denied.they started me at 14 an hour with a percentage from food sales. I quit because I got a way better opportunity and told them to see if they could match and owner denied.then when I got my check 3 weeks later the owner wrote a check for 147.00 and I worked 10.5 hours.after this experience I will never speak good about this place.if you see this your a disgrace to good employees and hardworkers.he also brought under the table employees that were his family member so I could train them on MY FIRST DAY.they are a joke.unless they change owner or staff this place is going down.hope you get what you deserve
Great Beers and staff.the new management is moving things in a positive direction. The Brussels and fries were absolutely amazing. We can't wait to go back!
Stay away! All the good reviews are from the original owners. If you like Bud Light and want to feel like you're at a brewery, this is the place for you. The last time I was here, we had an IPA that was CHUNKY! If you try to leave a comment on their Facebook page, you get blocked. They hide negative posts. There are way better options all around this place.
I've been here many times in the last 2 years. Usually a very good experience. I remember service to be fast, friendly, and efficient. My experience today makes me want to never come back here again. The owners seem to have contempt for the clients who keep them in business. Maybe they just want to go under
Have been here many time before and it was great! This time there was no one working, signs everywhere for servers and cooks. Not sure what happened to make everyone quit, but waiting for 20 mins to get a beer is not acceptable when there are only 15 people in the place. Guess I will be crossing this brewery off my list to go to.
Beer was meh but the youngsters behind the bar set the tone. Being asked for a cc before even being served was pretty off-putting especially considering on a Saturday afternoon there was only 2 other people in the entire place. Breweries are known for their experience. This was not a pleasurable experience.
If I could give a negative star, I would. DO NOT plan your events here. What a complete, disorganized mess. One of the many things the Bride looks forward too is her bridal shower. We planned my soon to be daughter-in-laws bridal shower to be held at this venue. We did, like you should, planned months in advanced, picked a menu and time. We were told, we would be let in the venue at 9am to start decorating for opening at 11am and coinciding starting of bridal shower. We stood with balloon arches, plates, table decor, champagne glasses, outside of this venue until 11 when it was too open. Still not a soul there to let us in. Not only were we finally enlightened that no one knew we were coming because, Tammy, the manager quit the week before, but they did not have any of the food we had discussed. Who told us this? The cook who happened to be there at 10: 00 and was in complete shock we were there. Poor guy, he was nice. He called the main person in charge of opening that day and we were told that they would be there in 30 minutes (10: 30), we had some hope. We went to cracker barrel and ordered food (FYI, they are amazing and saved our butts!), went to world market and got champagne and thought, ok, we will make the best of it. At 11am, when they were supposed to open and said person would be there. No one, crickets, literally not a soul. WOW, you have 6 women standing outside, 2 hours, waiting on a venue you had book for over two months and the only person who knew was one lady.
FYI, it's not easy to find a venue last minute where they can accommodate 30 people and allow you to brining in decor and food. So, we moved it to one of our houses. Needless to say, the poor bride, but we made the best of it. Bridal shower 2 hours late, change of food and drinks and venue change.
However, you owe her a sincere apology. I will not frequent this place.
