Horrible company, and extremely dishonest! Shipping is horrible, and the quality of their products are very different when you receive the item in person, junk! Will never buy from them again! And extremely poor customer service as well.this company only wants to look perfect but not actually be perfect! Buyers beware!

Firstly, let me say that up until today, I have only written positive reviews that strive to aid others in their purchasing decisions. Sadly I have just had a terrible experience with this seller through 1stDibs and feel it important to share. While in communication regarding an item, Hamid said it was “unavailable at this time. ” I questioned what that meant, was it sold or would it be available at a later date. He kindly offered to look for other brooches when I noticed the price of said item was almost doubled. I questioned the business practice of what would appear to be untruthful while they were raising the price, but of course received no reply. It took a bit, but 1stDibs finally contacted Dover Jewelers to discuss this. Immediately, the item was marked as sold. This brooch had been for sale at a much lower price for months, maybe even a year, it then gets marked up nearly double in price and sells the day Dover Jewelers is contacted by 1stDibs? There is something very wrong with the manner in which Dover Jewelers is conducting business. I would hesitate to purchase from them and if so, make sure you are getting the piece you are purchasing, as described, at a fair value. I understand things get botched up, but this has truly been an unfortunate experience and could have been completely avoided. Leaves me wondering what would have happened if I would have purchased the item without contacting the seller first…
