Dr. Ashish Sahai - Spine Surgeon, Deerfield Beach FL

My daughter is 28 years old and has had multiple spine surgeries. We are from Oklahoma and traveled to Florida because Dr Sahai is the BEST surgeon who has ever worked on her back. He actually fixed it! After the last surgery three (3) years ago he told her she would need additional surgery. The only surgeon we trust is Dr Sahai. He is a true miracle worker. He is kind, considerate but not afraid to give the hard talk if it is needed. I can’t say enough about him and his staff. This time she had spine surgery on Monday and neck surgery on Wednesday. He fit her in because her spinal cord was compromised - because he actually cares for his patients. If I could give a higher rating than five (5) stars I would.

Dr. Sahai is an exceptional spine surgeon. My father recently underwent a spinal fusion and we could not be happier with the results. Dr. Sahai and his team made us feel comfortable and in good hands throughout the entire process and answered all of our questions with patience and clarity. The surgery was a success and his recovery has been smoother than we could have ever imagined. I'm grateful for Dr. Sahai's expertise and compassionate care. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a spine specialist.

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Sahai. He is a highly skilled spine surgeon who truly cares about his patients.

Just avoid this place. Dr Sahai supposed to do spine surgery to my gf at west boca hospital, he never showed up after 3 days waiting… Then hospital discharge her and said to come here personally. They wanted to charge 247$ but Insurance said to them it wasn’t necessary because they will pay for everything… After 3 hours waiting in their very small waiting room, they just said they are still waiting for authorization to see her. Money thirsty and hungry people. 1 and I am being generous

Wanting to alert more patience about Dr Sahai and his assistant Sara. I want you all to go home now examine your bills he is billing you for items you do not have to accept. They add them on your bill without telling you. I has Humana Gold Plus and he is still charging me. This is a very corrupt practice that must be undisclosed. All patients join with me if you have the same complaints we can stand together. All the way up to the chief of medical boards is my final stop and I will not until this doctor is stopped. Plus to really step on my toes I'm a combat veteran 20 years United States Army and this is how he's treating me. So you know what I can do to that he doesn't know me very well Army Strong.

This Doctor and his nurse Sara, are so disrespectful to all patients, making them sit 2+ Hrs in waiting room. Bills you for devises you don't need as a patient, but you get the bill and you must pay for it. With help we can stop this action now. Stay far away from this practice. Concerned patient

14 days out from a fusion and feeling so much better! Dr. Sahai is so caring and skilled, so so happy he helped me!

This is only the second review I have written in my life but I appreciate others sharing their experiences so, I thought you should know mine. Pretty much every area of this practice had problems. Dr. Sahai was my neck surgeon.

FIRST: I am owed a substantial refund because the office over collected on my surgery. I have requested my money back several times and they keep repeating the same script "it is in the final stages of processing". It has been months and they still refuse to issue my my money back.

SECOND: Obviously I need Physical Therapy after my neck surgery (2 discs replaced). Doing PT in his office was highly suggested. After 6 weeks of faithful PT, which was always 1 step forward to steps back (causing more pain than doing any good), I was in no better shape.

THIRD: At my 6 week follow up, and poor progression on healing, the doctor proceeded to tell me I was not healing because he believed I had shoulder issues restricting the neck. The last question I asked the doctor before going into surgery was if it was going to help my shoulder pain and he said yes. He should have looked at the whole picture before jumping into surgery

FOURTH: When the doctor requested another MRI and another 6 weeks of PT after my poor progression and constant pain, the office refused to give me, the patient, the script. They pushed and pushed for me to get the PT and the MRI at their office (so they could greedily make more money). I requested the script many times and it took weeks to finally get it.

FIFTH: Don't go to the Boca Raton office unless you want to see blood splattered walls.

SIXTH: After surgery you are given a hard neck collar that was suppose to be fitted to the patient before the day of surgery. The collar was never fitted for me. After surgery, when I got home, I knew something was wrong with the collar. It was not giving me any support, which is obviously very important, hence the need for the collar. The stress this caused me after surgery only exasperated my pain immensely. It took a few calls to the office to finally get to come in THE NEXT DAY to get in fixed. They told be twice on the phone it was fine before I insisted it wasn't before they made me an appointment.

Dr. Sahai and his assistant Sarah the best. The people who works for him, OMG, what a nightmare.
Every time that my son had an appointment we knew that we will be facing rude people at the front desk, at Deerfield Beach office we found the most difficult people, Boca Raton, is a little bit better.

I had a procedutr with Dr. Sahai a few months ago. The procedure is called laminoectomy and it completely changed my life for the better. I remember leaving the hospital 2 hours after the procedure walking like nothing. I'm still in the middle of pre-op physical therapy, but I can feel the difference in my life.

People skills amazing. Vested on your health and recovery. He is a leader in his field. Thank you doctor!

I heard good things about Dr. Sahai and wanted to see for myself. I drove all the way from Boca to see him and it was definitely worth the drive. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Everyone smiled there it was very welcoming. Dr. Sahai was amazing. He was brilliant and caring. He took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns, and I was annoying I had ALOT of them, and he did not rush out of their like most doctors. He treated me like a friend and not just another patient. I would definitely highly recommend him.

I'm really disappointed with the results I received for scoliosis surgery by Dr. Sahai at no point did we discuss 2 rods being placed in my back that would run my entire spine from my shoulders to my hips. I can't do simple things as put on shoes & socks or long pants, touching my feet is virtually impossible now I've loss probably 75% of flexibility on top of that my job. If we would have discussed the matter before surgery & I had known rods that length were going to be inserted I would have discussed other options. I'm instantly disabled at 47. I was far better before surgery than after, pain wise & flexibility wise.

Dr. Sahai was an incredible surgeon. I traveled from Oklahoma to Florida to have the surgery and it was BEYOND worth it! It was my fourth spinal surgery, and he finally corrected the issues and made me feel better than I have in years! He was also very friendly and personable, it truly felt like he cared. I would recommend him to anyone! I can never thank you enough Dr. Sahai!

My wife had surgery performed by Dr. Sahai and was very pleased! He is very professional but we were overcharged by more than $500 and told we would be getting it refunded to us. That was in July of 2019 it’s December now and we still haven’t received anything. Every staff member I have spoken too says it’ll be ready next week or it’s been approved we are waiting for it to be signed and almost always have an attitude. Dr. Sahai is a great doctor but he needs to seriously overhaul his staff and their patient service.
