2BCIR operation failed. If you got the surgery and it was successful after the first bag was made which is made from your intestines, awesome. It takes 3 ft of your small intestines to make a BCIR (bag), mine failed three times. Even after trying to repair the 1st two bags. Was in hospital 21 days per bag + 11 days for each repair. He would have made a 4th bag if I had not said enough is enough and to give me my external bag back which was another 11 days in hospital = 85 days in hospital. Giving myself shots, three times a day for the next 7 years, for short bowel syndrome. Thought he’s the dr not me, he should know what he’s doing. Listen up you need your intestines to LIVE.
So thankful that he could operate on my dad. It saved his life back in 2019, and because of Dr. Rehnke, my dad is running half marathons at 73 years old!
