D.R. Horton Southeast Florida Division Office reviews
7UNETHICAL COMPANY! FRAUD! BE CAREFUL! Sale representatives and managers make false claims just to get the deal done. Contacted HQ and reported this and they have been unresponsive.
Staff is very nice and attentive. It’s a process when closing on your home so it’s time consuming. They have water for you and snacks to enjoy in the mean time. The best thing it’s you usually walk out a new homeowner. Best of luck!
Horrible experience … unresponsive, poor customer service and poor follow through from the DR Horton lender and their title company. Had to escalate to management multiple times to get updates on closing. Countless delays in construction. Delays are understandable but communication of the delay is necessary. Had to point out a mistake on the final settlement statement multiple times … even on the day of the closing that needed correction. At the closing table they won’t even allow the buyers Realtor in the building. They say it will “slow” the closing down. DO NOT CHOOSE DHI TITLE if you purchase a DR Horton Property.
Quality was poor. Communication poor, caring for my client poor/non-existent. I had to call permitting etc to get things done. As a real estate professional I wouldn't recommend this company because of the above. They treated my veteran father like he didn't matter and that their mistakes in providing a closing date before CO was complete and we were wrong for relying on that 2 times. Cost my father extra money and had him in a hotel because of their internal inability to communicate and shoddy communication to me and my father. We had to tell them they needed to finish the drywall and tape the seams they tried to paint over. Electrical issues (arcing and tripping the panel), subpar products (Formica and carpet that within 1 week was flat and looked horrible) used as finishings when compared to price. My father had to spend almost another 20k to get new countertops, backsplash and flooring to replace the carpet. Not what I would expect if they are getting almost 400k. My father has purchased many homes and he said it was his worst home buying experience ever.
Where do I start?
I went to view a property in sunrise FL. New town homes very bright and clean on the outside, however the homes were quite small. I went with my family to view the properties as I am in the market for a new home. I already had a pre approval for a home but As these are new construction homes the home builders prefer that you finance through them for any type of specials they will have such as covering closing cost. That's all great. But the homes were small and they are not a good investment in my opinion.
My review and my rating is solely based on the personnel that I came across at these properties. There was an agent there by the name of Nick, when I showed up there with my family He really did not acknowledge me and the entire time he spoke to everyone else in regards to the property except me. (I was the one purchasing the home) So I thought that was very interesting that he only spoke to one person. After seeing the first property I was no longer interested in viewing anymore, and when Nick realized that I was the one who would be purchasing the property after asking a series of questions he then tried to intrigue me at which point I was no longer interested.after seeing the first property and then see the second property I was ready to leave so I did. And my family came with me. That same day I received a phone call from Nick still trying to persuade me and to find the property He was very pushy and quite aggressive. I explained to him clearly that I was not interested and I gave my reasons why, 10 days later he called me again and I reiterated my decision and he hung up on me. So this just goes to show that there's poor quality in these home designs and poor quality in the person I was trying to sell these homes.
Please stay away from this company. They are liars and are just trying to get money out of your pocket. Before you sign a home contract, they try to be sweet.then they will reveal their true selves.
Great new home builder for Florida. Fantastic service. Great location. I love working with D. R. Horton homes but my clients like them even more because they get exactly the home they wanted. Every. Single. Time.
