Dr. Jaime A. Alvarez, MD reviews
14 EXTREMELY bad Dr. I had 1 cervical spinal fusion already by a Surgeon in Wisconsin.
When I got to having the same issues I was referred to this guy for follow-up.
WORST MISTAKE ever. After reviewing my recent MRI he said I had Rotator Cuff issues, ok, even though I knew it wasn't. CT scan showed deterioration of my Cervical spine again and he said no rotator issues, you have Carpal Tunnel. Lol.
Again NOOOOOOO. Sent my discs to Surgeon in Wisconsin who said I needed surgery again, yesterday.
Found a Surgeon in Orlando and I'm in the last month of recuperating of my 2nd spinal surgery.
If I could find Alvarez again, I would sue him. What a disrespectful DR.
Thanks to Dr Alvarez, I’m alive! Very courteous and seasoned in his profession. Thank you to the entire staff!
Initially he was great. He did surgery on my husband's (now deceased) brain tumor. Didn't want to tell us all the bad news but my step son insisted. He had the worst brain ca
never you could have. Glioblastoma. My husband's son wanted us to go back to Philadelphia and stay with him for the chemo and radiation treatments. I needed a referral from Dr Alvarez. I never got one! Made our lives so difficult to get a neurosurgeon up there.
Very arrogant doctor. He dismissed me shortly after quickly looking at my MRI and only said "if you start having epileptic activity related to your brain cyst I will do something. Otherwise I cannot help you".
Made me feel worse than I was when I got to his office. I hope I don't develop something from this cyst I have because I will take him to court for sure.
I wonder what kind of grades he had during medical school. He should go to school to learn bedside manners.
After 5 years of pain and two surgeries with different drs, finally I found Dr Alvarez, he changed my life! He is the best Dr ever when it comes to back pain.
Dr. Alvarez exceeded all my expectations. Had a brain surgery and thank you to my Lord that it was a success and send me to Dr. Alvarez.his staff were all wonderful.each one of them.and a big kudos to Alex.but most of all to Dr. Alvarez for caring for my needs during the hospital stay. I will recommend Dr. Alvarez 100%
Thank you Dr. Alvarez and your great doctors and staff!
God bless all of you all!

I do not know Dr. Alvarez, but have been trying to schedule an appointment with him, and the office keeps cancelling my request.
I was scheduled for July 30,2021, the office called canceling. Re-scheduled for November 1,2021, once more they called to cancel. Not a good system, I consider it disrespectful. Besides the lady (?) that called me was impolite.
Very bad experience. Extremely arrogant surgeon & he acted like I was wasting his time. I had an MRI before seeing Dr. Alvarez. I also reviewed my MRI w/my chiropractor. The Radiologist's report claimed that I had 3 herniated discs & 2 bulging discs in my low back. At my appointment w/Dr. Alvarez he totally dismissed my back pain & proceeded to tell me that I did not have any herniated discs. When I questioned him about MRI results, he was very arrogant & stated he's the surgeon and his opinion is what counts. Ive already made an appt with another surgeon.
If I could give half of a star for Jamie Alverez I would! We just left his office. After having an MRI done, he tells us that my husband does not have any herniated discs. Even though our imaging report says he does. His God like complex is disgusting. Telling us that we should be happy that we don’t need surgery and he is the end all be all. Normally he’s the last step in the process. We need pain management or therapy.
Did we catch him on a bad day? Arrogant and rude. This is no way to treat someone in pain.
Dr. Alvarez and staff were very compassionate and professional from start to finish. The results of the surgery were immediate relief of pain. Holly was extremely helpful with staying in touch with us while we had to get my heart condition taken care of before surgery. Alex was great seeing me in the hospital and helping me. Dr. Alvarerez has given me a new chance at having a pain free life. I am greatly appreciative.
I would recommend Dr Alvarez, very knowledgeable, he saved my husband, I would highly recommend him and is team.
She had debris in her neck from old fusion. He cleaned it up and refused three vertebrae. Amazing. Looking forward to enjoying her smiles and love.
I was involved in a motor vehicle accident and have had three accident related surgeries in six months. As such, it was essential for me to choose the best NueroSurgeon available. As part of my due diligence I have seen three Neurosurgeons and am thankful I was referred to Dr. Alvarez. Thank you again Doctor for taking the time to explain everything in such detail and for your genuine compassion.
Thanks to Dr. Alvarez and his staff I can walk, sit, and breathe without pain. Dr. Alvarez and his staff went way above and beyond to help me. They obtained the insurance authorization in a very short timeframe and I was able to return to my normal life within 2 weeks of my procedure. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Alvarez and his incredible team. Thank you
