Dr. Joanne Richards, Hollywood FL

I've been a patient of Dr. Richards for over twenty years. She cares about her patients and always listens. This is a very important quality for me in a physician.

I love Dr. Richards and her staff. They are all caring and always go above and beyond to ensure that I feel comfortable and cared for. I've been going to her practice for 8+ years and have never had an issue. She delivered my son, who is now five years old. I still see her annually for my checkups. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Richards has been my OBGYN for over 17 years and I would not go to anyone else. She takes time with you as a patient and is concerned about your health. She is the BEST!

Dr. Richards is amamazing. Absolutely helped with advising throughout pregnancy and provided good perspective and advice. So happy she was my OB.

Just a warning to future mama's:
I wish the experience with this Dr was a good one as I chose her for her reviews. However, I left on my 3rd appointment due to the neglected "care" she provided. On my second visit, I was asked family medical history questions, then after, the front desk told me the dr wanted to see me for the next appointment and gave me a date. On that date, the nurse asked if it was okay for a medical student to stand in to observe, just to find out the medical student was my dr that day.
The dr came in and asked me why I was even there that day, and then gave a clip board to the med student and told me the student would be asking me questions and left the room.
The med student asked me all the family medical questions the Dr asked me on my prior visit, waisting my time and I found this alarming that my history wasn't recorded from the previous visit.
I'm now being charged for the visit that a med student was my doctor that day.
This office is very busy, to the point where the dr doesn't have time to see all their patients, and before leaving I was asked 3 times by the nurse if I left a urine sample (making me feel it was lost).
I have never been contacted to tell me chlamydia test was neg, or how my urine samples looked.
This is not somewhere I felt safe to have my baby, and hope no one else has to go through the same feeling
She is too busy to take anymore patients as of Jan 2023.
However, my new Doctor, Dr. Cohan in plantation is amazing, always calls personally to let me know results and always makes personal time for patients.

I don’t know where to start, this office was terrible. Every time I would go in they were so strict on masks and they would give nasty looks and get so bothered when they had to give my husband one, yet he was the one paying them! I feel so scammed by this office they charged my insurance $20,000 for a gender/Down syndrome test though a company called Natera Labs. They were only suppose to charge $234 and they asked us for $7,000 after insurance, we fought it through the BBB and they have multiple law suits, crazy thing is when we brought it up to the doctor she knew about it & said “oh I know I just like working w them because they’re so accurate “. 3rd strike was when I was looking for other doctors for different options my new doctors office needed the paperwork transferred and when I asked Dr Richards office to send it over they responded with “ okay but if you leave our office you can NEVER come back because if you’re not happy w us now you’ll never be” I have never heard something so unprofessional in my life and was not about to let this office bully me into staying w them. I’m sooo happy I changed doctors it was like a weight lifted off my shoulders when I walked into my new doctors office, they were so nice and positive, didn’t force a mask on my face, they had amazing music, it was soo lively! & my new doctor was even awarded physician of the month the same day my baby was born.
Just trust me when I say look at other doctors before settling with this office.

Dr. Richard's is the best. I highly recommend her to all my fellow women in the area. I'm actually moving to another state and sad I won't have her anymore.

I love Dr Richards! She is very welcoming! She delivered my son 10 years ago and I’m so excited to have her deliver my second son this year March. Even with medical issues my last pregnancy and this pregnancy she made it very easy and smooth. I feel 100% comfortable and safe with her. The whole office is a positive easy going place. I have never seen any of the workers not happy or pleasant. Even the new assistant shewanda has a positive personality. 10/10 happy to be a patient!

Dr. Richards is an excellent doctor who is dedicated to her patients and their concerns. I am grateful to have her as my doctor, she is dedicated to providing excellent services!
