Called for an appointment and even thought they advertised THEY TAKE MEDICARE PLUS OTHER INSURANCE I was asked for $300 initial visit. I declined the appointment. Will follow up with Medicare

I'm very satisfied with his care. He and his team are passionate about trying to solve patient problems. I'm strongly recommend Dr. Montero for all your maxilofacial needs. He takes time to explain in details what's the best way to solve your problems. His office at Baptist is the best way to explain compassion, professionalism, and excellence in patient care.

I've been seeing Dr. Montero for years now, trying to correct my TMJ disorder. As a doctor, he is friendly, caring, calm, and listens to your concerns. He always tries to find the best possible solution and makes sure you are well informed throughout the way. While I'm still having issues with my TMJ disorder, I know that he's looking for anything he can do to help end the pain that comes from having this disorder. His P. A. Elizabeth, is one of the most knowledgeable and straightforward people I have met. Any time I call or send an email, she responds almost immediately. After surgery she walked me through the physical therapy steps and gave me pointers that made the experience go smoother. It's not just Elizabeth and Dr. Montero, his entire staff go above and beyond for their patients, going so far as even recognizing me when I call, they help find a solution for me and more importantly, they are always transparent and ensure I know everything that is going on, something immensely important to me. I would recommend his office to anyone needing Maxillofacial Surgeon, you will not be disappointed by the level of care, attention, respect and honesty you will receive.

Excellent, Professional Practice, Clear Communications:

I came to Dr Montero, among a series of consultations to find a doctor to perform a major oral surgery for myself. Found Dr Montero and the whole Miami OMS team to be very good communicators, happy to explain the procedure and what the preparation for it entails, the cost, recovery, and after effects (possible side effects and the good that it will bring to me). Dr. Montero had an excellent bed-side manner and treated me very professionally/seriously from the first time I met him. We discussed my goals for the Orthognathic surgery and Dr Montero explained what would be realistic as a result.

Dr Montero and Miami OMS was able to utilize my medical insurance to help cover the cost of the procedure, without which, the whole project would otherwise be unaffordable.

The procedure was performed at a public hospital, Baptist Health, with a Cardio/Lung team standing by, in case of Complications.

The recovery was very tough, but it helped to know what to expect from the surgery beforehand, as Dr Montero had explained.

Now I’m 4 months post surgery and have a new outlook on life: with better breathing, sleep, and a new found smile that I have never been able to bring out without Dr Montero’s and Miami OMS team’s help.

Staff is extremely RUDE.

Certainly won’t do business with an office who doesn’t want to help the customer

Rude woman answered the phone. Sounded like she would rather do anything else other than speak to me and I felt like I was inconveniencing her by calling asking for an appointment. She then said that with insurance (any insurance) the consultation requires a $300 copayment and that the next appointment is 2 months away. Safe to say I hung up!

Dr. Jose Montero and his staffs was very understanding explains everything to you and cares about his patients concerns and questions I wouldn’t have anybody else to be my doctor

Elizabeth surgery coordinator. Very defensive. Became upset when questions were asked. Supervisor she transferred me to scream at me. She went ahead and canceled my surgery with no motive what so ever. This surgery was extremely important since it's impacting my lifestyle and none of the staff seemed to care. Still pending a phone call from the doctor to advise on my experience. Very disappointing so far.
