Dr. Joseph Bilik - Florida Urology Specialists

Not a great doctor, and very poor staff.
I was a patient of Dr. Bilik for almost 12 years. I used to think Dr. Bilik was a great Doctor, until I saw another urologist. That's when I found that he performed a lot of unnecessary procedures on me. I am scarred and dysfunctional because of them.
I found his staff were incompetent and unprofessional.
I put up with the incipience for twelve years, and finally grew tired of it. After I told the person in charge of the front desk my feelings, things became worse. None of my calls to speak with Dr. Bilik were returned. When I tried to make an appointment to see him I was put on hold and disconnected several times. Sometimes when I called, I would reach a recording saying to leave a message and a scheduler would call me back. No one ever did.

Poor rating on office itself, never did see a doctor.office called to say Dr was running late by an hour and moved appt to 530p.waited in office for another hour before husband was escorted back to exam room where he waited another 35 mins before walking out on his own AND office wouldn't refund co-pay which had to be paid before being seen.
WILL FIND ANOTHER DR

This physician has provided excellent care for my urological needs. Once after a kidney biopsy he called me that night to let me know that the biopsy was negative for cancer cells. He knew I was so worried about it. Not so many docs I know would do this. He listens to you. He's smart and kind and funny. He's gentle. I had a stent removed in his office and it was fine. I've had to have a number of urologist in my life and I believe he is the best. If you have a problem he will help you. He really will. Be confident that you will receive the best care in the best way possible.

I had an appointment to see dr bilik several weeks ago but I was not able to see him at that time because they said they had not received the lab results. I had my blood drawn at millennium lab who forwarded the tests to quest labs which apparently dr biliks office uses. I then went to the quest lab and asked if the lab tests had been received. I told them that my doctor had not received the test results and would they please forward another copy to them and email me a copy. I received a copy via email and still did not trust that this urology office would know what to do with it so I mailed them a copy via usps. It has been several months now and I have decided to try again. Do you know they are still claiming that they did not receive the test results even though I know did. My new appointment is set for November 21 and I will also take a copy of the new lab results with me because I don’t trust that they know what to do with the results. The office staff act like they don’t care. I might consider changing to a new urologist in the future.
