I started in March 2017 with PF of right foot. Had injection of steroid in that foot by Dr.at East clinic. Was in terrific pain and decided to see the Master of the Feet! Started me on a Medrol pack and a mild nsaid pain med. Went back to him after a completion of Medrol pack and was no better. Lam said surgery was necessary to release the fascia. I trusted him. It was done in his office with a Beaver blade and local block in the medial aspect of right foot under medial malleolus. He began the surgery and then came in the room a couple of times to complete it while taking care of other patients in other exam rooms. That didn't make me feel very confident. I wore a surgical shoe home with no one to drive me, but I guess that wasn't a consideration of his. I was also given a air pressure boot for weeks and f/u with him and then PT for months. I then began with sx of tarsal tunnel syndrome, as HE dx it. This was poo pooed by him and his associate Dr. Patel and continued with PT for the completion of the surgery for PF release and then developed some tenderness in my left foot for PF. Was given another medial aspect cortisone injection and mind you.no thought to any of the many nerves in that area! I still have some paresthesia in that left toe! But the worse part is that going back to him for the tarsal tunnel in the right foot, like the fool I guess that I was, he then suggested more surgery! I told him he wouldn't touch me with a knife again! I opted for an injection cortisone and he the proceeded to inject in the same blind manner. He told me he could see it! See what? That is bull! What he saw was a pedal pulse on the inside of my foot as it should pulse if there is good circulation! I read a review about a man with the same condition and he feels the same. Not a good DPM! Don't go to this guy! I cancelled future appointments with him and will see another doctor. Can't trust this man! Oh and besides, he is very egotistical and arrogant and doesn't spend enough time listening to you because he is on his way to others. They wear earphones for communication in the office. How deprecating. Here it is Dec. 31,2017 and I am still suffering! OMG! Happy New Year to me!
So, saw a real doctor yesterday! 1/3/2018. I DO NOT HAVE TARSAL TUNNEL! I have a referral to a doctor who repairs botched surgeries by DPMs. It shouldn't take long. An NSAID used topically x4 qd along with ice as used before and use of paraffin bath in AM. PT x3/ week for total of 12 visits. Meta tarsitis with inflammation creating swelling causing pain! No nerve involvement at all. And to think Lam wanted to cut down my foot immediately!
Do NOT under any circumstances subject yourself to this butcher.
BTW, it for remyelation of s nerve, it remyelates at the rate of 1 mm / month, therefore the nerves HE did injure with castles injections will take as long to heal as when the inject was given. For ex: left foot given injection in June 2017 with subsequent improvement of feeling of pins and needles continue then complete healing should be at June 2018. Yeah!

Been going to FFLC for foot and leg problems for the past six years. They have always been very efficient, excellent service, and they treat you like family. Congratulations to Dr. Kevin Lam, they now have five locations!

In just one visit Dr. Kevin Lam identified why I was still in pain after a foot injury three months ago. He pointed out a minute break my previous podiatrist missed. Dr. Lam was very thorough and explained all options as well as the best treatments. I am now pain-free, thanks to this truly talented and caring foot doc!

I came to Dr. Kevin's office after injuring my foot working out. Dr. Kevin immediately diagnosed the fracture and set up a detailed treatment plan that got me back on my feet in no time. Dr. Kevin is hands down the best podiatrist in town. Hopefully I won't have any issues with my feet in the future but Dr. Kevin is the only doctor I'll see if I do. Give Dr. Kevin a call. You will not be disappointed.

Dr. Kevin Lam of the Family Foot & Leg Center, P. A, did painless and scarless Bunionectomy of my foot which now looks normal as ever! I recovered within a very short span of time due to the amazing care taken by the doctor and the staff at the clinic. I had a rather poor experience with few podiatrists in Naples, but Dr. Lam was really so great in his service.

I'll start by saying, I work for NCH. Therefor, I have to use their "facilities" and "doctors". When I injured my foot, it was going to be 2 weeks before I would be able to get into the "approved" doctor. I couldn't wait that long. I called up Dr. Lam's office and was seen that very same day. The office staff is very nice, professional and accommodating. I was able to do all of my paperwork ahead of time because it's easily located online under the website. Better yet, Dr. Lam accepts the hospital insurance. Every time I had an appointment, the crew was on time and never had to wait long in the waiting room. After each visit, you can go online and actually be able to review your visit and plan of care. Dr. Lam and staff took time to answer all my questions, concerns and thoroughly discuss my plan of care.not to mention he treats his staff kindly and professionally as well. As RN, that says a lot about his character. I would definitely recommend him and his staff.

BE CAREFUL! THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU AGREE TO ANY SURGERY! - Dr. Lam recommended tarsal tunnel surgery to cure symptoms I was having in both feet. Specifically, I'd been experiencing a slight tingly feeling, especially at night, in the soles of both feet. He told me that because he could "see a pulse near my bone on the inside of my ankles, that was "a clear indication that I needed to have this surgery, " telling me: "I think it's time to bite the bullet. " I had also mentioned to him that I was experiencing some discomfort in wearing certain shoes due to a slight pinky "hammer toe" on both feet. He told me that would be an easy fix, and that he would take care of it while doing the tarsal tunnel surgery. I accepted his recommendations and planned on doing one foot at a time. He preformed the surgery on my left foot as planned and I was left with a huge, long, thick, and VERY ugly scar (years later now, it’s still almost 1” wide by 5” long!) I've also experienced a loss of feeling along with a constant tightness in my left heel around the surgery site. I experience daily discomfort, especially in the mornings, with weird, “stretchy” feelings and painful sensations at and around the surgery site. And, there has been ABSOLUTELY NO BENEFIT whatsoever that's come of this surgery! I know this because I elected NOT to have the same surgery performed on my right foot. – Also, the "easy to fix" pinky hammer toe is now limp and points off to the side at about a 15 degree angle, sitting about 1/2 inch away form the other 4 toes.what a disaster! I wish I had never allowed Dr. Lam to operate on me!
2017 update: it's now been about 7 years since agreeing to the recommended surgery. The foot he operated on gives me constant problems, whereas the one that he didn't touch is fine. And I can still see my pulse in BOTH ankles, so him telling me that was a reason I "needed" this surgery was just BS! I wish I had never met this guy! Made a huge mistake listening to him! Stay away!

Dr. Kevin Lam's modified bunion surgery is really awesome! It leaves you with hardly any visible scar, virtually painless, and back to normal activities in no time at all. Five stars!

I was referred to Dr. Kevin Lam by a co-worker after seeing a number of other podiatrists. After a looong time of foot pain due to neuroma, I am glad I finally found a top podiatrist who had new and innovative ways of treating this classic foot problem. I cannot believe Dr. Lam has cured my neuroma without surgery. Start at FFLC if you are having neuroma pain so you don't have to go through the trouble I experienced looking for the right doctor.
