I had my lasik surgery performed by Dr. Dempsey a year ago. The result wasn't up to expectation. My left eye was 20/40 and right eye was 20/30 afterwards. So they recommend a PRK enhancement on my left eye and the result came out the same. Now they are considering another PRK on my left eye and I'm not sure if that's gonna help. I won't bother to describe how long and painful the recovery was because that's not why I'm giving 1 star rating here.

I would rate them 0 star if I could because company's customer service is HORRIBLE! Once the surgery is done, nobody at the office ever answers the phone call. Apparently they only care about new consultation appointments from potential customers. Whenever I need to contact them regarding my follow up appointments, it's just impossible to talk to a real human. Calls would always be rerouted and I would asked to leave a voicemail and most of the time nobody ever contacted me back.

On top of that, when I had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Dempsey to discuss further options, they failed to tell me that my eyes will be dilated. I had to call them before the appointment to find out that information on my own and it took me good 2 hours! I called all 3 different locations phone number and nobody answered. I went on their website to talk to the online support which is a joke because they told me to call.

When I told them I need to reschedule because I didn't arrange a designated driver because nobody informed me about dilation, they wanted to charge me $50 for the cancellation. And the next availability for rescheduling the appointment is 4 months later.

Needless to say, I would never recommend them to my friends and family.

I was at Dr. Filutowski's office for an hour this morning, with their staff trying to verify my insurance information. Their entire staff insisted that I had a copay. That was incorrect and since leaving their office, I have verified with my insurance company that there is no copay for me. My insurance company is making them aware of this. BEWARE OF THEIR COPAY CHARGES! Don't be humiliated into paying it if you don't owe it. I did not attend my appointment and left after wasting an hour of my time at their office plus a 60 mile drive. I would give them zero stars if possible. I have no confidence in their office.
