Dr. Luis A. Escobar, MD, Hollywood FL

This review is not about Dr. Escobar who could be a wonderful specialist but about how one unprofessional staff member is capable of tarnishing the reputation of an entire office. I was referred to Dr. Escobar by another doctor. When I called his office to make an appointment on 09/18/2023 at 3: 22 p.m, a female staff member and a native English speaker whose pronunciation was not quite clear answered the phone. She sounded passive aggressive, untactful, impatient and irritated from the first moment of our conversation. I felt as if my asking her to help me make an appointment seriously inconvenienced her. Her annoyance reached a boiling point when I politely asked her to clarify what she meant when she told me I had to bring my "demographics" with me. Her reply was rather rude, and then she hang up on me. I called back a couple of minutes later to speak to the office manager, but I was told (by another staff member) that the office manager was in a meeting and she would have to call me back. She never did. I have shared what happened with the medical office that referred me to Dr. Escobar as well as with my health insurance provider. Needless to say, I will not be one of the people "funding" this office, including the salary of its unprofessional staff.

As a nurse practitioner, I found Dr Escobar, professional and compassionate!
