This is not about Dr. Courtney but about his front staff. On 11/6/23, I walked in the office to a door being flung open by a woman with long pinkish hair (don't know her name) a abrupt, May I help you. Not "Hi" or "Good Morning", Told her that I spoke with someone & was told to come in to fill out paperwork to then make an appointment. She then asked for my insurance & DL. I complied. Was told to sit & that the paperwork needed to be filled out there. Less than 60 seconds later she came back to inform me that my type insurance was not taken. She then snatched the clipboard from me & walked away & shut the the door behind her.
I'm telling you this because you can be a great a physician but your 1st impression is your front office. A smile, some kindness, compassion, a little personality goes a long way Dr. Courtney.
I was in banking for over 35 years and Never treated a customer rudely no matter how bad my day was.

Dr Courtney is a very qualified and caring doctor. He was amazing with my 89 year old Mom.

Dr Courtney should have his medical license revoked. He is rude, buligerent, and a very self-centered man. He prescribes medication that pharmacys refuse to fill and then leaves the patient without nothing. Find yourself a different professional pain doctor.
DO NOT believe any of those positive reviews.

This guy is the same thing as the sound a duck makes. Unethical. When you see him coming, RUN! Seriously, he does not have your best interests in mind.

I have been going to Dr Courtney for the last six months he has been nothing but professional and his treatment and his courtesy. He doesn’t rush you out of the office he actually takes time to examine you and to talk with you about the best options for you. He has referred me to other doctors to help me with my fractured hip that I sustained in January 2022 after Failed surgery in December 2021 I was referred to Dr Courtney to help me with my pain I have been to many pain management doctors over the years and he has been by far the best. I would recommend them to anyone he doesn’t just give you medication without examining you and make sure that you’re getting the best care I don’t understand why these people writing bad reviews I have never experienced any kind of unprofessionalism and his practice. I am glad to have found him to help me through this hard time in my life.

My husband came to bring the required information to be accepted as a new patient this morning. I needed to use the restroom and they would not let me use it. I was told my husband was not a patient yet and they couldn't allow me to use the restroom. So if they show that little bit of compassion I would highly recommend you look for a new Dr.

Dr. Courtney had not returned any phone calls regarding health of patient pain medication management under his care. I have even driven over to get information!

If you’re looking to be abused, this is the doctor you want to see. They treat you like you are a pill popper. Not only do you have to bring in your pill bottles every time you come in they count your pills. If you do not call in your prescription five business days ahead of when you need them they charge you an additional $23. Remember, they are closed on Fridays and do not post this on their website. So, Fridays don’t count as a business day either. They also charge you an additional fee of three dollars if you pay your co-pay by your charge card. I was wondering why Dr. Courtney insisted on seeing each of his patients on his own instead of by a nurse practitioner and now I know why. He has a Napoleon complex and needs to be in complete control of everyone. His mask mandates are a joke. When you are in the waiting room you are required to wear a mask and when you see the medical assistant you are required to wear a mask. But low and behold when you are in the office with him he does not wear a mask. If it wasn’t for double standards he would have no standards at all. When I questioned him about this, he became resentful and said I was no longer his patient. I wasn’t planning on staying on as his patient anyway as I already have a new practitioner. Here’s another good one, the office is closed from December 17 until January 3. You can’t get any prescriptions renewed during this lengthy timeframe. No exceptions. If you are willing to deal with all these rules and the abusive practices of this doctor, you have found your guy. He really needs to retire.

My name is Steve pappas husband of Rita. Must say dr. Courtney has helped me over the years. Dr. Courtney is the one who found out I had very high iron Since he diagnosed me I am feeling so much better. As I am being treated. He also introduced me to PALMITOYLETHANOLAMIDE (PEA). A supplement that has helped me with my nerve damage and pain, and many other issues I had. Dr. Courtney is a dr. That has compassion he takes his time with each patient.

You are not just a number with Dr Courtney.he actually gives you all his time to listen and gives you advice to aid in your pain ie; CT scans, X-Rays, lifts in your shoes if needed.he is definitely NOT a pill mill.in and out. Sits and discusses your issues and then plans treatment accordingly.i highly recommend Dr Courtney for your pain issues.

Dr. Courtney is an excellent pain management doctor. Very personable and responsible. He addresses problems before treating symptoms, so if you're looking for someone who will simply write you a script, go elsewhere. This is a great doctor, not a pill mill.

He handles traditional pain management techniques and medical marijuana, when appropriate. Patients are treated as responsible individuals and partners in their healthcare. Dr. Courtney encourages the use of as little prescription medication as possible and performs random drug testing, as well as other measures, to ensure patients are compliant. I feel safe in following his guidance for my pain management.

I’ve seen many drs in the past year to deal with a surgery gone wrong on my foot, and I’ve never had a dr spend so much time with me. He actually listens and cares! He wants to help me, and he has. I would totally recommend to anyone who has severe / chronic pain! Even the staff is amazing!

Would like to take this opportunity to let all know how great Dr Courtney and all of his staff are. They see us, for the most part, at our worst and many suffering from pain. With this being said, my experience has been no less than totally professional, caring and understanding. The best part, and this may be why some didn't favor him, is that he is upfront and direct. To me this is his best attribute, other than he absolutely know what he is doing. Highly recommend him and his staff.

Dr. Courtney seems to be a very caring doctor. Sadly, he is unaware of the way his wife, "the office manager" treats the assistants she hires, which is why it is a revolving door. The lack of proper communication, formal training, and respect is appalling. No formal interview is given, nothing is in writing as to set hours or pay, which she abuses. As things arise is how the assistants learn, and are then told they should've known, experience or not. Unfortunately for Dr. Courtney, her hubris will be the demise of his practice as word spreads regarding her poor judgement in business practices.

I adore Dr Courtney and all of his staff. They have been wonderful to me and have helped relieve my pain issues. They care, they listen and that’s rare and fantastic. I would recommend Dr Courtney to anyone.
