7 As the father of one of Dr Unger’s emergency patients, I give him 100%!
We were down here with our daughter on her first Christmas in Miami.
A very long story, she needed, as it turns out to be an emergency surgery to have her gall bladder removed on Christmas Eve.
Dr. Unger came in and advised us late in the day and eventually did the surgery at almost 11pm on Christmas Eve. I’m tearing up while I’m typing this because the care that he gave our daughter is, as in his words, as what he would do for one of his family members.
We have been living with this cloud over our shoulder for 30 years and it happened yesterday.
Dr. Unger is a very confident professional and he was right.
I was scared.
We are safely and successfully home with our daughter now. He advised us correctly.
I thank God above for Dr. Unger.

I love Dr. Unger and his staff. They are the best and very understanding. And I would recommend anyone to Dr. Unger he's a good surgeon and I never had any issues with any surgery I ever had.
Dr Unger was very thorough and expertly explained in detail the entire Hernia surgery process. He and his staff were very professional and made you feel welcomed and at home. Overall a very positive experience!
Dr. Unger and the medical staff at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Miami Beach are true professionals. It was the most pleasant hospital experience I have had over the last 4 years of navigating my medical issues. Dr Unger was friendly and direct. Today he explained every phase of my surgical procedure before I entered the Operating Room. I felt I could trust him, which is essential to a patient. The staff was knowledgeable and warm with wonderful personalities. I highly recommend Dr Unger, and Mt Sinai if you have any medical needs.

Dr. Unger originally set up my fistula in 2007. Since then he has repaired it several times. In addition, there are regular fistula checks that are scheduled intermittently.
In my estimation Dr. Unger is a very experienced and proficient surgeon. He explained procedures and possibilities before and after my surgery, and although it might have been a challenging task, it was performed and has healed very well. I am grateful to have had him as my surgeon.
