Went in for my first pregnancy appointment. This doctor was absolutely awful. Not even talking to me, making sure I’m ok and comfortable before doing breast exam. He just went straight and touch my breast exam and stick thing inside me without letting me know or head up. It was super uncomfortable. Left me in the room fully naked while he went to the hospital to deliver a baby and came back and went to do ultrasound. Then left. Didn’t even have time to listen my concerning or any question I have. I will never recommend anyone to this doctor.

Listen to all the negative reviews and drive into Orlando for an OB if you have to to avoid seeing Wendell Courtney. Rude, incompetent and his C-Section rate is almost 3 times higher than the average for that of providers in FL.

Trusted him with four of my children, going on my fifth. He is straight to the point and i wouldn’t choose anyone else

Disgraceful and disgusting behavior. Was incredibly rude to me on my first patient visit because I was only there for an ultrasound and didn’t want this creepy old man to give me a breast exam. Told me I had a bad attitude and not to let the door hit me on the way out. Absolutely nobody like this man should be in womens health.

I couldn't be happier with my experience with this doctor and the office. I was a new patient and was instantly comfortable with my new situation. I would definitely recommend him. I'm a c-section Mama and he did a wonderful job. Literally best experience I have had out of 3 surgeries in total. Very professional and proud of what he does.

I made my appointment months ago and was told they except my insurance. Got a call the day before my appointment and was told now they don't except it because the insurance company does not pay out. This is the second time a GYN office has done this to me. I am not upset that they don't except my insurance any longer, I am upset that they waited to tell me until right before my appointment. She said they stopped taking it weeks ago. Why not tell me then?

I went for an appointment that i had and when i get there the receptionist told me that they do not accept my insurance anymore. Not even bother to call me and let me know. Very disappointed

During my experience Dr. Wendell was forceful, disrespectful, went directly against my requests, and did not have his patient in his best interest. He put me in physical pain and I will not be back.

In an emergency, you want Dr. Courtney on your team. Very happy with him being my doctor for two deliveries. He always puts his patients first. With many many years of experience in this field, he is a great OBGYN.

Does not review patient history or listen to what they say. My niece miscarried due to his arrogance and then she had to wait over a week for a dnc due to his arrogance.

If I could give less than one star I would! He is not needing to be a doctor! Reasons that I will not specify because they are terrible but do not recommend at all!

I don't understand some of these bad comments. Dr Courtney delivered my baby sister as well as her oldest daughter, my oldest daughter and 6 more of my nieces and nephews. Very compassionate and understanding and straight forward. Love him and thankful that he was there to bring my daughter and all of my families babies in this world. Thank you Dr. Courtney

Very knowledgeable and professional, great doctor he's the one you want to make sure your baby is born as healthy as possible.

I’m sure it all has to do with what kind of insurance you have and whether he’s had coffee or not. I was considering him bc, well the short story is insurance anyway does anyone know a female doctor that accept sunshine health/am better. I was told they do accept it but only for pregnant woman so that’s nice. It’s a joke really. How can this be the most used insurance but only the Health department takes it. And bc I’m covered Florida bs open enrollment insurance won’t even accept my application. I feel helpless and need to see a doctor. Mr current don’t even know when last Pap smear was or how to find the file. A joke. Where do I sign to become a man

So when I called a month prior to my appointment on 12/14/22 I told receptionist that I was high-risk due to my auto immune disorder and having my child premature, and they told me that was fine. But when I went into the office, Dr. Courtney comes into the room and goes over everything on my chart and then proceeds to tell me that he’s not gonna see me because I’m high risk even though I told them I was high risk and then degrades his staff in front of me while I’m on the table in a gown. I would never recommend this man to any female at all. I would’ve went to my original OB, Dr. Hannibal, but he is not excepting new pregnancies at the moment, courtney was completely unprofessional, and makes people feel degraded. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Had all my kids delivered by him best ob in Leesburg staff very nice the nurse is the best would recommend him to anyone

Overall Dr. Courtney is a great Dr. He has delivered all 3 of my kids, all great experiences. For my last pregnancy he took me on as a pt being 36 weeks pregnant due to change of insurance. He was straightforward and quiet but overall was content with him and staff.
