Dragonfly Robata Grill & Sushi

Beyond my expectations! I've been wanting come here and I finally was able to get reservation.
We had sushi rolls, appetizers, drinks, green tee, dessert. Everything was delicious!
Customer service very good! I loved my experience here and can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menú haha!

The quality of food and service is phenomenal here. The sushi tasted so fresh and delish! I'd have to say more on the eclectic side then the normal sushi spots, as the rolls have a certain flare spin on the typical rolls. Service was very attentive Heissem our waiter was very accommodating and excellent. The decor and ambiance of the room is very intimate and inviting. A must visit if you're in the area and looking for good sushi +

The food was good. The best part is the robata. It would have been nice if they allowed the usage of the robata like what they showed in some of the pictures.

UPDATE: went back yesterday for the first time since this review- what a change! The hostesses were pleasant, smiling and helpful and service and food spectacular as usual. A 10 out of 10 experience! Keep up the good job Dragonfly- that experience is what keeps us clients coming back! From 1 star to 5

Food is spectacular and the waiters are incredible. The huge problem with Dragonfly is the hostesses at the door. They are full of rude, snobby and plainly disrespectful attitude towards the clients. They ignore people standing right in front of them, and even with a reservation and empty tables all around the house they will leave the clients waiting while they are doing nothing behind the desk (all of that in plain view from the salon). I saw them do it to every client that walked in this weekend, saw people walk out upset and almost walked out myself as it soured my family’s experience. Note to the owner: with the amount of excellent competition you have around that are less then 2 min away, if the front of your house is not strong, friendly and efficient you will lose a lot of business. A shame, because for us clients IF you get to pass the bad experience at the door, everything else is amazing!

Low lighting romantic oragismtic food.

I went here with my best friend and enjoyed our meal here. The food was so good, we joked we didn’t need our boyfriends anymore from how great the food was.

It’s a romantic setting for date night or girl night out. You can’t go wrong with any of the sushi rolls and the staff was very friendly.

I order the black dragon roll and mango tango. I have to say this was the best mango tango I’ve ever have and I’ve been to a lot of sushi places. This is my new favorite sushi place.

Try the tap bao shimp buns too and the tempura cheese cake is divine! Make this a cheat meal or date night meal!

I can’t recommend the food enough!

This is late coming but this place is a must! Wow great food and drinks and the staff? Top freaking notch! I was just back in Orlando visiting family and didn’t get a chance to go and I’m sorry I didn’t. Next time!

I have dined at this restaurant for the past five years. I visit the Dragonfly with a close friend for their birthday. Each time, we always have such a great experience. The atmosphere is sophisticated and edgy, the food is just outstanding. We try something different each time. The staff is friendly and the service is wonderful. I highly recommend for not only a birthday, but if family and friends are visiting from out of town or if you have clients to impress.

This a great sushi spot in a beautiful location! The ambiance inside is very much that of an upscale Japanese restaurant with the dim, soft lighting and earthy touches of wood and paper cranes.the wait time for a table was 45 minutes so we opted for the outdoor bar seating.we went in during their happy hour and enjoyed a few food items from the list, starting with the Warm Baby Spinach & Shiitake Mushroom Salad and the Black n Bleu roll.the salad was a good side portion and came with a warm miso dressing.the roll had skirt steak, blue cheese, red onions, spinach, and jalapeño inside, served on a honey wasabi sauce, making it super spicy.the roll was good but the steak was a little too chewy.for the main, we shared the Tonbo platter- 10 pieces nigiri, 21 pieces sashimi, 2 hand rolls, and 2 maki rolls.the platter had such a good variety of fish- tuna, salmon, yellow tail, scallops, and more.one maki roll had salmon, avocado, and cream cheese, the other roll had shrimp tempura, avocado, and topped with seared salmon.for drinks, we had a mocktail mojito and a tea pot of hot green tea.the staff is super friendly and service was pretty quick which we appreciated!

Everything was fantastic in my first experience in this restaurant, the best thing was the Ahmauri service. She recommended very good cocktails that we enjoyed to the fullest, the sushis are super fresh and the niguiri spectacular, I’m sorry I didn’t take any photos.

We’ve been coming for years. Food is always incredible. We were waited by Tung tonight and had such a lovely experience (as always).

It's a little pricey at around $15-25 per plate, but it's not without justification. There are some really incredible flavor pairings and sauces, unique grilled dishes cooked over imported Japanese Robata charcoal, and a respectable selection of nagiri, sashimi and house sushi rolls. If you're a fan of mushrooms, don't miss the fried Maitaki plate! Suggest going with a party of 4 or more so you can share several dishes and get the most out of your meal.

The layout of this establishment gives you many options. The indoor and outdoor vibe is great for a group of friends to have a good time. I recommend the crispy tofu bites. The happy hour has a very good selection this is one of my favorite places to dine in the area.

The best meal by far that I've had during many visits to Orlando. After fabulous sushi and short rib make sure you leave room for the tempura cheese cake.

Solid Japanese inspired bites at fair prices. Our server was wonderful. Docked a star for not having our table ready in a timely fashion, we were seated almost 30 minutes after our reservation time, and at a rather undesirable table. Still, the meal more than made up for it.

We experienced the chef's table and. Wow.

The attentiveness of the staff, quality and quantity of the food was off the charts.

They have a vegan menu with several unique sushi rolls. The one I tried was amazing and I definitely want to go back to try the others!
