Drift Kitchen & Bar, Sarasota FL

First time for 3 of the 6 in our party to attend Drift! It was spectacular right from getting off the elevator, approaching the hostess stand to the very comfortable high top table with an amazing view.

We were warmly welcomed by the lovely hostesses. The "drift" wood stand was a sight to take in.

The entire restaurant was beautifully appointed and not just because of the holiday decorations.

Our server, Brooke, was friendly, professional and very attentive to all our wishes. My husband and I are plant based and the chef did not disappoint! We enjoyed a tasty creation of fettuccine with vegetables in olive oil, exactly the way we love it! The minestrone soup was scrumptious!

The live music was just the touch for the ambiance and the volume was perfect!

The best place to have breakfast in Sarasota! Food was great, especially the great omelettes. The breathtaking ocean views are spectacular. Be sure to request a window seat, they have the best view! The restaurant is beautifully decorated & designed. The ambience is top-notch with the ocean views from the 8th Floor. We will definitely repeat Drift!

You know how sometimes a restaurant in a hotel isn’t the best restaurant? Well…. This one is excellent! The decor is beautiful, great views and really good service. Our server both times we dined here was Sherice and she was just so pleasant and personable.

Aside from all of the above, we appreciate the fact that they have vegetarian friendly menu as well as something for everyone. So many times chefs offer a carb laden pizza or pasta as the one veg option but these guys get it and have plant based protein options available. Also they will make your meal without meat if that’s how you want it.

The tiki bar menu (poolside) for lunch and the service are equally good. Totally different environment…but very good.

AMAZING! It would've been better has we been able to see the ocean from our table but it was still nice. Great Customer Service. NOW, the FOOD! This was my first time trying New England Clam Chowder and let me tell you it was the most amazing thing that has ever hit my palate. Bacon infused, nice size potato chunks. OMG it was so delicious. RICH, CREAMY Hearty with just the right kiss of bacon flavor. A MUST HAVE!
My Ribeye was so FULL of flavor. Those pan dripping on my plate, made it just that much GREATER in Flavor. I wish however, it had a bigger mash portion. BUT THE FLAVORSSSSSSSSSS. Oh yea it is that good!
My husband Pan seared grouper (again my first time trying the grouper fish) was also AMAZING. The food did not disappoint AT ALL! Highly recommend this place. The CHEF must definitely know what he is doing back there. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend.

Had a wonderful Sunday brunch with tasty mimosas, excellent and friendly service (our server was Dana), and a gorgeous view. We got Cuban eggs and smoked salmon bagel both yummy.

Great atmosphere & sunset views. However, the meals are very lack luster. I ordered the special Veal Ossobocco-$67. It came out dry and smothered in demi glaze. A good chef should never have to disguise a special meal like this. Minimal sauces and let the Natura flavor of the meat speak for itself. Instead all I tasted was sweet sauce. Plus, it should fall off the bone and be tender. Not the case. Very disappointed after paying so much. We also got a hamburger, which ended up being a frozen Patty and undercooked to where it was cold in the middle. Go for a drink but skip ordering food.

This restaurant is located on the eighth floor of the Palm Tower building at the Lido Beach Resort. It has everything you would want when dining out.atmosphere, quality service, impressive views, and of course very delicious food. After drinks were served, the bread dish was brought out which had two different types of bread with three choices of spreads to apply if you so desire. The main courses selected were the Grilled Duroc Pork Chop and Pan-Seared Snapper, both cooked to perfection. Great food and service, most enjoyable evening.

This place is magic for real the location is perfect close to the resort, is safe and nice, the restaurant is so beautiful the decoration is amazing, the waitresses Johan was amazing he is super funny kind and fast, he is super smart, we ordered tuna amazing super juicy and taste, we ordered crab cakes, snapper, piña colada cheese cake, and pasta bolognese, everything was insane. I really want to go back this is something special and different. The wine was delicious Pinot Noar the number 51

The attention was spectacular, Gigi was our waitress and she is super, one of the best places recommended 100% to recommend. Thank you.

Food was a bit overpriced, you definitely pay for the view. I would say, get a nice salad or soup, enjoy the view, get cocktails or mocktails and call it a night. I had steak that I felt was a pit pricey for the fact that I had a lot of fat in my new york strip.tasted good, but I could do the same at home.

My husband and I went here during our stay at Lido Beach Resort. We had breakfast, dinner, and even room service!

Their breakfast was great - I had some of the best breakfast potatoes I've ever tasted. They serve their lattes with a cute little rock candy stick and even a biscotti for dunking. The Belgian waffle was super soft and delicious, too!

For dinner, we split an artichoke & spinach dip appetizer. I got the Margherita pizza and my husband tried their grilled 12 oz.ribeye. The tomatoes on the pizza were so flavorful and juicy! We were too full for dessert but I really wanted to try their pineapple upside-down cake, so we ordered that to go. It was so yummy and came with some caramel gelato, whipped cream, and a Pirouline wafer.

For room service we ordered their Caesar salads, one with chicken and one without. The caper dressing was bright and refreshing!

Both our breakfast and dinner trips, we were waited on by Michael and he was wonderfully attentive and friendly.

The views from the 8th floor were gorgeous and especially made our dinner date more romantic, seeing the sun set over the water on the western side.
