I have to work three jobs as a “professional” teacher just to pay rent and have food to eat. I studied education at UNF and I fully regret it.

When I read the reviews here about the Duval County Public Schools. I wonder how many of these reviewers. Have really had these so called problems. To the so called Woke Republicans understand this "Critical republican theory is to take anything considered woke and assume people of color to blame and indoctrinate children when in reality the Republicans are just racist. " Amen

Feel like they need improvements in their process of answering queries from parents. We are been juggled between the school and this office when trying to join our kid at a school.

Staff is extremely unprofessional and rude. It’s a shame when you call in and get treated as if you have caused them an inconvenience by calling in. Jasmine at the ESE admission and placement office was the nastiest most inefficient person I’ve ever encountered. She literally left me on hold for 19 mins, couldn’t locate my child’s info in the system, placed me back on hold and comes back and says “oh I found him go to the school”and hung up. This treatment at this place is not a rarity and I’ve come to expect getting treated like a rabid dog each time I have dealings with this place. If you can, AVOID AT ALL COST

The staff is SO RUDE here. They don’t care about kids education. They don’t have compassion or empathy for those who needs help with different process, as a new Floridian mom coming from Michigan I can tell this system is a nightmare. You guys don’t deserve to work there, specially the old black lady with short hair, such an awful person.

They favor black students over others, all others will be treated as though they are an inconvenience. They waste millions on changing historic school names while crying about being unable to fix the air conditioning and floors at most of their schools.

Remember the "half cent sales tax" that was supposed to be used to improve schools? Yeah, pretty sure it is just lining the school board and superintendent's pockets.

DCPS is a total failure, they change scores and numbers to make their teachers and students seem competent, absolutely corrupt.

If your student is enrolled in a DCPS run school, GET THEM OUT. I used to teach in the district and believe me, DCPS is AWFUL and CORRUPT.

We just moved about month ago and here is no side walk and this area is farm and narrow road multiple trucks and construct equipment trucks are on the road.if i could send the video or pictures will do that.we called and tried more than 6 times to duval county transport for make a bus stop here and some of reason we heared back " Why don't have a side walk? " or " Walk to another bus stop a miles. " and we always responsed call week later again and we just did today and we heared again same response.

Is there REALLY, NO WAY TO COME A MILE TO NEXT STOP?

So now we would like to try another way to reporting this issues to make it work who could help just safety bus stops for children.

Thank you.

Duval County has THE WORST PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM IN THE ENTIRE USA. They have NO childrens educational advocate. There is so much unprofessionalism even at the GOVERNMENT level. I wish I could afford to move to St. Johns or even Nassau couties. The lack of empathy towards the student body is sickening. They dont care about the education of these children! They put no money into these schools. All the BILLIOMS of dollars in funding these schools have received throught the last 5 years. Most of these schools dont have the correct supplies to even run a school. No copy paper. They ask PARENTS to provide that. Barely dry erase markers for the board. NO TEXT BOOKS. ONLY PAPER HANDOUTS SICK

Don't complain here- Duval School Board Meetings are the first Tuesday of every month at 6: pm. Our city is the way it is largely from what these people do to our kids. Be there, or be square!

I’m being generous here by leaving one star and that is because there is not an option to leave 0 stars.
The parents portal is not very user friendly, when you email for assistance with it the tell you to do the same thing I have been doing for a week now and on top of that if you try to call no one answers the phone, you won’t be on hold for as long as you can take it.

Horrible customer zero. Impossible to reach anyone at this place. I’ve been calling every day at different times and either was on hold for hours or was no one answer the phone. Same thing with emails.

Always good to see old friends. Ms Brock, Ms. Bass, Ms. Farley, and Ms Herring were wonderful in assisting me with paperwork.

The school system doesnt care about they're students.teachers are the worst at Southside middle school and the superintendent never returns your calls or trys to resolve the situation. They'll kick your kids out the system while everything in they're system is messed up due to covid and they will blame the parents. Yall need people who care about children. Running this school system.

They are literally the worst, they do not care about the health of the students and will send us to school knowing the virus is spreading. I currently have a cold and I am in the Early College Program so although we can miss days in school due to our health and not be counted against it, it is imperative that I go to school get my work completed because being in the program, I can miss one day and be behind on multiple assignments.
