Eastwood Golf Course reviews
18Decent price for a course around here, but the pace of play was super slow. Also this course is nothing but dog legs.
Played the course a couple times last year was in excellent shape. This year a little disappointed at how dried up around the greens were and how rough some of the tee blocks were. Still a great track for the money.
Where do I start, Eastwood is by far my personal favorite spot to golf, the staff here is very friendly and relaxed. I've been coming here for 2 years now since I started learning how to golf, and from the jump the staff was super friendly, even offering pro tips I use to date. The marshals are very friendly, and don't rush you unless it is absolutely necessary. Don't even get me started on the cart lady, she offers my group and I water every time we are out on the course and is always sure to wish us a good day, it's refreshing to see that caliber of customer service displayed at a public golf course. All and all I would say if you've made it this far into my review how have you not already plugged eastwood into your gps and started heading there.
First off, no food and no alcohol. Great the course is $45. But no amenities is ridiculous. Tee boxes were just regular grass cut short. Super long par 3s greens were good. Good pace. Great sand and lots of it. Definitely a one and done for me.
This is a great public course and cheaper than most options in the surrounding area. During their off season, it’s $60 before 3: 30pm to play 18 and $30 after 3: 30pm to play 18! We paid $60 for 9 around 10: 30am, with a cart. Not bad. They do have a driving range! They do have a lot of doglegs on the front 9, some water, narrow fairways and trees but even with a beginner we were able to make our way around the course without losing too many balls. I would definitely come back. The staff in the club house could be more friendly, but that’s my only complaint.
Golf course was incredible to play on… All things golf always get five stars but this deserves a five… Staff was super friendly and welcoming…
Played here for decades. Loved every minute of it. It’s a great place to stay on top of your game.
Hit at the range today. New set up is nice but could only hit off mats and not on grass. Nice that you can now pay with a card at the ball dispenser. Before the remodel, you had to go into the clubhouse and buy tokens. The two city courses continue to be the best public access in Fort Myers
Eastwood has redone the back nine. Layout is fun and challenging. Definitely worth the $45 greens fees. Looking forward to playing there again.
Nice challenging course. Fast carts. Easy to read greens
Pick your tee boxes for shorter holes or take on the blue tees for a lesson in humble.
I will play this course again
Well maintained course. Outstanding staff. We used to play a different course every day on our annual vacation.
Eastwood and all the other local courses have some nerve charging $75+ right now. They’ll drop the prices when they have to aerate and think they’re doing us a favor.
I like the improvements the city has made. However, those red range balls have got to go. They are awful. Once they’re in the air they are nearly impossible to follow, especially with longer shots.
A nice local public course. Greens were in great shape in late March. Maybe a little on the pricey side, but average for in season.
At $150 per couple we should be able to get a beverage at the turn when arrived at 5: 45. Leaving the snack before 6: 00 is totally inappropriate. Knox 3: 15 tee time 03/16/23
Started two tee times late. Took 18 minutes per hole to play …potentially 5.4 hours…. Quit after 6 holes when we were the third group on the seventh tee.
But course is great layout. Greens were nice for a public course but slow.
Course in great shape, clubhouse staff is great.food and beverage is VERY lacking and extremely expensive!
Some serious pace of play issues on the weekends. New management going through some growing pains.
Also, they have lights but close the range at 6: 30? Not sure why they wasted money on the lights.
Updates to the back will not wow you if you haven't played. Far too many trees cut down.
