We really enjoyed our stay at the Ebb Tide Resort! We felt so safe with the location (you can’t beat ocean front). In walking distance to all the shopping and dining in the East Pompano area. Very family friendly with the pool and spacious room for my toddler’s pack n play, play pen, all of our belongings etc. Found myself appreciating the a/c- The room gets nice and cool at night after a day at the pool or beach.my baby slept better than usual The staff are super and checked us in quick with smiles on their faces. The owner Karen, is the sweetest and truly cares about your experience. Loved the style of the room, with the wood floors and eccentric furniture. Can’t say enough nice things about this spot. We will definitely be back and recommend it to any friends and family that need a getaway with awesome vibes.

Omg Karen the owner is the best ever. She completely went out of her way for us. We were stranded in Fort Lauderdale after our flight because the car rentals were being rude and wouldn't give us a rental after our reservation for the rental. I called Karen to ask if she knew of a shuttle or something so we could make it because we were gonna be late. She actually drove out of her way and came to Fort Lauderdale to pick us up. We were burning up with a 1 year old baby and we had our little dog. She is such an amazing person. We will forever be grateful for her. Ebb Tide is a wonderful place to stay. Even though it’s an older hotel it’s an amazing place. People like her make it so much better. The beach is so close and everything is in walking distance. The pool here is nice the rooms are cute as well. Everyone here has been amazing. There are grills and everything. Very down to earth. We will definitely be coming back. What started out as a horrible vacation has turned into the best. So thankful for caring people like her.

Furniture is eccentric. Decor is outdated. Cleaning lady could clean better and be more respectful of the occupants by knocking before entering the room, but overall the location is great and the staff was great and the owner Karen is a doll, she made it right when we checked out. We will definitely visit again. Loved how family oriented it was and how the beach is private.

Not what I expected, could use some updating and more maintenance, the location is awesome though, very convenient. The staff was very friendly, would recommend to stay there. I would come back.

Great for the price and what you get. It is an older hotel but very clean and the location! On the sand, you don't get this anymore. I love my old Florida Mom and Pop motels. Get up, walk out, toes in the sand.

The location is great (right on the ocean). However the buildings are in disrepair and need renovating and updating. It's ashame the are letting it go.

Very tired resort.two stars are generous. Nasty room #20, dirty, very noisy AC, dirty furniture.not worth $200/night. Sun deck under repair but dangerous to negotiate. Dirty, unkept furniture.dirty ashtrays. Only positive is the beach access and the employees were very nice and friendly. Will stay somewhere else next time. Oh yea.did I mention the resort is dirty?

My only complaint is the $75 pet fee compared to the price of the rooms it's pretty insane. Especially since there is no more work to put in to cleaning the room with or without dogs. Other than that it was a great location, great beach and pool. Room a bit run down but comfortable. Should change mat in front of door to one that will collect the sand so it doesn't get everywhere

Great access to a private beach! Super views! Hotel, itself, is clean; but, needs LOTS of updates. Good service, security is good. Older property.

Love this little hotel. Rooms are not worth writing home about, but you're not there to hang out in the hotel room. It literally sits on the beach and also has a pool. It's the perfect location and the owner of the hotel is so nice!

Location, location, location!
If you are looking for somewhere they you can sit in your room all day in comfort and style, this isn't your place. It has the necessary amenities to sleep, shower, and snack. The virtually private beach, the ocean and the nearby restaurants and activities will keep you from even thinking about spending more time than necessary in the room. Unless your have a room with a view (which I recommend) that you can see the ocean, there's not much reason to stay in the room anyway. Yes, it needs some updating, but the value for the location is a great deal. Several restaurants within a 10 walk and several more within 15 minutes. Highly recommend Oceanic and the Beach house, and Kaluz is a 10-15 minute drive toward Ft. Lauderdale. There is a public transit shuttle that works a little like a free Uber, but definitely tip your driver; download the app called Circuit and it will have all the details. We used that to get back from getting groceries at Publix. No car is necessary for a nice relaxing stay in this area. We flew into Ft. Lauderdale, took an Uber to Ebbtide (about $35), walked everywhere, used the shuttle once, took an Uber Ft Lauderdale for dinner and back ($10/ trip) and Uber back to airport. So approximately $100 total for Uber, cost of rental car would have been over $400. Definitely plan to visit again.

The rooms are clean & the private beach is amazing. So much less crowded than the public beach a hundred yards down. The staff is kind & professional. The rooms are bare minimum, nothing fancy. The property itself could use some updating & fresh paint. The walls are thin & kids start screaming at the top of their lungs at 8am but that’s how it goes at a family friendly place. If you are looking for a clean place with perfect beach location then you’ll be happy here.

The motel is run down and poorly maintained. I stayed 4 nights and they didn’t switch out towels or sweep the floor. As an ocean front motel these are necessary.
Not sure what is worse, mold on the shower head and controls or the fact they told me they couldn’t clean it due to COVID. Yes I have pictures

Very dirty. Floors were not mopped at all. Socks were black. Wall dirty. Traps for rodents. Mold. Building needs uplift and is falling apart. Location is great. Right on the beach.
