Ebisu Sushi Shack reviews
19Food was amazing. It was packed all night and doesn't have that many tables so it took a while to have orders taken and get food, but the employees were all nice and accommodating. It's super cute and kitchy inside, we especially enjoyed the tiny old TV playing lone ranger - I haven't seen a TV like that in decades! We especially enjoyed the tuna appetizer and sake sangria.
Excellent! Super cute place! Excellent price for the fish quality. Highly recommend the florida roll, if youre into proper sushi because it honestly had more fish than the special rolls. Its clean, simple and the closest to the original Japanese sushi. Fish was excellent quality, small place so there might be a long wait.
This place is AMAZING! The food is so good and the volcano roll is the best we have ever tried! The server and staff are friendly.
Extremely poor service. I frequent this place & even place to go orders from here regularly because it’s one of the only local sushi spots in Seminole heights but I will not be returning. The food is good but tonight was the 3rd time I’ve had poor service in the last few months here. I understand it’s a small space but their was ZERO communication on our server Selam’s part as to why she was ignoring our table.
We sat down around @ 6: 15pm & did not the opportunity to order until 7: 50pm. Our sushi then took its normal time to come out but our rolls were incorrect & we had waited wayyyy to long for all of this. All other tables that sat AFTER us were served before us. Instead of bringing over a manager and attempting to make it right Selma went back and fourth with us.
Really good Sushi, Selma was an excellent waitress, even though they are super busy she checked in on us regularly. Quality of food was way better than some sushi restaurants I’ve enjoyed in Miami. Only asking for her when I go again!
Everything here is delicious! This has become the standard by which we compare any other sushi spots. It's our personal favorite.
I can't say enough good things about this place. Terrific staff, chefs are true professionals, awesome specials. The rolls are awesome. Great neighborhood place.
This is a very humble cozy place. The food has good quality and the presentation is definitely great. The server was pleasant and doing her best on a busy night. I loved that they have outside seating and allow dogs. I’m only giving 4 stars because out of 4 different specialty rolls, I didn’t really had a favorite. I will go again because I want to try more of their selection (I will give all the points to creativity, these are not your usual rolls) they have a Cheetos roll! Will be updating this review soon.
Great sushi dive spot. Locally owned, excellent quality. It's always a good sign when owners work in their own restaurants.
Cozy Sushi Shack with amazing food. Very cool vibe. Excellent service and good prices. Added bonus for ease of parking.
This used to be my favorite place. I would order $100 worth of sushi here a week. Unfortunately when they short your order now, (forget items) that they have no responsibility to correct that mistake. This has happened on more than a few different occasions. I dont think that kind of management deserves my money. Sad to say i wont be ordering again.
We used to LOVE Ebisu, but it’s been declining and tonight’s experience totally ruined it for us.
Take out orders over $70 are now subject to a 15% “service fee”, which is absurd given that $70 is basically the minimum we often spend for a sushi night for two adults. Apparently 8 basic rolls (that fit in 3 boxes placed in one bag) is an extra large order requiring additional care…. Except we got barely enough wasabi for those rolls, about half what we typically get of ginger, and a handful of terrible “soy sauce” (you know, the stuff that comes with an $8 combo meal from a Chinese restaurant and contains no actual soy). The “ginger salad” tasted like ground up carrot- watery and no zing to be found. The thimble of ponzu (for 50 cents) was a joke. If we are going to pay for take out- at least give us decent items beyond the rolls. And be up front with who is even getting the “service fee”.
We are bummed to cross them off our list, but after a handful of meh experiences topped off with this one, we will go back to delivery from some Tampa classics.
Amazing local sushi restaurant! Small inside, but we had no problem getting a table. The menu has a nice variety of classic sushi rolls and their own twist on new ones. Absolutely loved the super crunchy and Jabba the hut rolls as they had such tasty spicy tuna in them. Also highly recommend their green tea mochi ice cream afterwards. Definitely check this place out if you’re in the area.
Amazing food and really cool vibe. Definitely feels like walking into a legit sushi shack in Japan!
Cute place with indoor and some outdoor front seating. The absolute best sushi around. The staff is phenomenal. Sushi is scrumptious. Specials are amazing. It's our favorite place!
By far Tampa's best sushi! The fish are so fresh and I can't stop thinking of their salmon sashimi. It pretty much melts in your mouth, it's wonderful. My current favorite roll is the super crunchy! Although I haven't had anything here that made me feel less than satisfied. I have been in person and ordered their food through UberEATS and both experiences are wonderful. The staff were so nice and the decor is adorable. They have both indoor an outdoor seating. There are water bowls for pups too if you chose to being them and eat outside. Check out how cool looking their website is too.
Had a great time with my family. The restaurant staff was able to accommodate a large party even with the small seating selection and the food was amazing.
Absolute favorite sushi restaurant in Tampa (competing with Samurai Blue IMO). Hidden little gem in the Heights, perfect for a date night or girls night out. Both owners Akemi & Ron are such a pleasure, I am looking forward to trying out Junmai soon!
Very homey and comfortable. DELICIOUS sushi.the fish tasted fresh and the flavors were thought out and cohesive.loved the cute posters and anime references. 100% will be coming back!
