Visiting Miami from Virginia and wanted to experience Little Havana and the culture. So we stopped here. The food was good. The mojito was just ok. The waitstaff is the issue.

Overall sitting outside, listening to music, the smells of cigars in the air was an experience. I’d visit again.

P. S. -Finish your meal w/a small cup of Cuban coffee. So good.

The soup was cold, the drinks came half way through the meal. We have experience better service before but tonight was terrible. I doubt my wife and I will visit this place again considering all the other restaurants on the same street.

Disappointing indeed. Cortadito & Cafe con leche were like drinking at Starbucks. All hype.

Waited for half an hour before the waiter came and asked us to move away from the table as he wanted to clean it, even though he sat us there in the first place! Then he left again without taking our orders. So we left. Cant comment on food as we didnt eat as service bad.

There are not enough waiters to assist customers. The few waiters are overwhelmed and they do their best. In the big dining area there is a garbage can next to the refrigerators. Not a nice sight when you are eating. Staff is phenomenal but management needs improvement.

This place is the Cuban answer to the typical 1950's diner. Stop at the window for coffee and pastelitos or bring the family for a sit-down meal. Great for breakfast.

The restaurant was busy at lunch time because December is a tourism high season in Miami. Yet there were only two waitresses on the entire first floor. The waitress could speak poor English but her listening comprehension was even worse which made the ordering kind of difficult. She demanded we order drinks and main dishes together because they were busy. We did. She left. We waited for half a hour without drinks and food. We wanted to remind the waitress but she was no where to be seen.

Finally the main dishes came (still no drinks). The roasted chicken was like from a food cart. The vegetables were mushy and tasteless. The rice was half cooked. It was quite a disappointment after all the hassle finding parking in Little Havana!

Our drinks had never came. We had to wait for another half a hour before the waitress showed up again. During this whole time there was no one we could talk to about the drinks. She brought the bill which showed we were charged for the drinks. We tried to explain to her that she forgot to give us the drinks. She either didn't understand English or pretended not to. Anyway she refused to take the charge off the bill and claimed if we don't pay the entire bill, then she would have to, which we didn't understand. Why would she get charged for something never happened? Anyhow, we paid the bill and left her a small tip (We usually tip 20% but in this case we certainly didn't feel it's fair). Guess what? The credit bill came today and I found the waitress/restaurant added 15% tip on her/their own, which made it well over 25%! What a scam!

The decor of the restaurant was very traditional and we love the Cuban music they played. But I would never go back again and wouldn't recommend anyone for the terrible service and food we received!

Ordered black bean soup from an extremely inattentive waitress who gave me a nasty look once uttered. Just getting our drinks took a ridiculously long amount of time. My order ended up being pinto bean and ham soup. The bill was about $76 for four people, no alcohol or anything added to our lunch. Wish I could give 1/2 star rating. Would not recommend nor will I ever return.

In the heart of Calle Ocho. This is one of the restaurants the tour guides do in Little Havana. Old style Cuban restaurant that can hold large crowds. Lots of different dishes to choose from they even have daily specials. Food was ok nothing special.

I ordered the chicken empanadas and it was really good! The staff was very friendly and the restaurant is located in Little Havana and the atmosphere is very nice.

Saw this place mentioned on Travel Channel and I just finished an Uber ride to Miami airport. Dropped in and loved the open air feel in the restaurant and the vibe of the neighborhood. Munched on their specially Cuban sandwich and it was cooked perfect and was very tasty. Also had a frita that was pretty good but I'm gonna say El Rey makes a slightly better frita burger. Good service.

Just yes. It is perfect. If you want an Americanized dish of Cuban-ish slop served with a grin by a sanctimonious wait staff, do us all a favor and go to Del Taco. If you want the real deal, pull up a bench and enjoy.

I try to go to Miami once a year as a part of a Key West road trip. Everytime I come, I always stop in Little Havana just for this restaurant. I get the black bean soup and mix rice into it.amazing! Always prices are great

Looking for the best empanadas in Miami? El Pub ranks among one of the top places among locals. We bring our culinary tours daily here and people love the beef picadillo empanadas! - cheers from Grace at Miami Culinary Tours
