I am the Executive Director at Elison of Bella Vita, and I must say, I love it here! I love getting to know the residents and their families, as well as working with the best team around! Being an older community like ours, we are experts in providing care and we have experienced staff that have been working together for years. The new shiny communities out there may be shiny, but they do not have the experience that we do, and won't have it for many years. We are worth the visit!

I've been here for 10 years now, and 1st shift is a great team, we get along well with each other and I love my residents here. It's a very family oriented facility and that's why I enjoy working here.

I have been working at Bella Vita since April 2023. I have never worked at a more family orientated ALF in my 13yrs if working in the health care field. Our nursing director is beyond understanding when there are illnesses within our household, and really cared about her team. The activities department is always doing something from bingo, to nails, to dinner outings. Every month we have a birthday party for all residents whose birthday is that month and then they also celebrate each residents birthday on their day. Going above and beyond is something else that the staff receive. The meals are very good, well portioned and full of flavor and includes no sodium, there is gluten free options, sugar free options and pretty much any diet type of food avaliable. We are a family here, not just among staff but residents as well. They truly care about one another. Communication with my coworkers and higher ups is always easy and not intimidating, and everyone helps each other out. I couldn’t be happier where I work. For the first time ever I look forward to comming to work each day!

The residents care staff is amazing and the culinary department whips up really good food and executive chef ask the residents to share recipes that he makes for them.

Have been working with this community for two and a half years now after leaving a job I worked for 13 years and am so very happy I made the switch. This community is more like a family than coworkers. The residents and families are happy and love the staff like family too. We have such longevity in staff because its such a great place to work and longevity of residents because it's a great place to live. If you think a newer community is the way to go, prettier doesn't mean they take better care of your loved one. Consider calling for a tour today, you won't be disappointed.

Never enjoyed working more than at Elison of Bella Vita. Staff is great. Residents are wonderful. A great place to be.

I have been a nurse at Bella Vita for almost three years now. I enjoy my job and everyone I work with. There really is a sense of family amongst the staff and residents. The RSD Faith Anders (aka Director of Nursing) does an amazing job of leading our team. I take great pride in knowing that the Doctors and Home Health Care agencies that come to our community know we are doing a great job caring for our residents. All dept. (inursing, activities, culinary, and our in house therapy) strive to keep our residents healthy, active, and happy while living at Bella Vita.

Well over 2 years and holes in the walls of my Grandmother's room are still not fixed! Looking for a more proactively managed facility now.
The worst is finding workers taking naps in her family room (instead of making rounds and tending to residents!)

Best assisted living community in Venice, Florida. Vibrant and active with many social activities for seniors, great care services, food is absolutely delicious. Very easy and flexible to schedule a tour. The staff is warm and welcoming.

Apartment is spacious and most importantly has a balcony access to the outside.
Breakfasts are very good but a lot of the main meals are poorly cooked and are very dry. Meat is tough and many items have obviously been purchased pre made and frozen. Inventory control is poor and many menu items not available. Catering needs a complete review and up dating.

April 2023. Since my original review the catering has improved and many of the dishes are better cooked and presented, salt has been banned from the cooking which is a major health improvement for the residents. Still room for improvement to the variety offered and preparation of some dishes.
I have expressed my concerns to Cindy Fitpansick the regional executive plus the property management team headed by Jerri. Jerri appears oblivious to the main concern expressed by me and other residents i.e. The disgusting unhygienic state of the breakfast room. The excellent serving staff are trying to hold matters together but are not being supported by cleaning and table clearing staff. I was not brought up in a pig sty but am forced each morning to eat breakfast in one! The carpet is food stained and covered in crumbs and spilt food and the furniture old and dust covered. I will be reporting to the Sarasota inspectorate if nothing is done.
In summary, a pleasant facility, generally great staff but a serious lack of attention and maintenance to the facility.

Thankfully, I have worked at Bella Vita for three years and counting. I was drawn in by the residents and staff from the very beginning. My favorite thing about working here is feeling like we are family. I encourage everyone to give Bella Vita a chance, either as an employee or a place to call home. There’s nothing better than feeling welcomed and loved.
