If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is horrible. Reports are never complete and when you come to get the full report you get another incomplete one and coincidentally the radiologist is no longer in the office to handle it. Absolutely no concern for their patients. Horrible!

I just want to share the inconvenience that we experienced with Akumin in Pines Blvd.
My mom is an elderly with underlying condition. We do not usually go out because of Covid 19.
Her podiatrist requested an ultrasound and Akumin was recommended. So I scheduled my mom. Her appt.was at 2.30pm. So we arrived before 2 & was told that referral is needed from the doctor even when I already gave the doctor's request for ultrasound. So I was surprised because this was the first time we are ask to get a referral. So I called the doctor's office. I was told that the podiatrist does not need to give referral because there was a written request provided already. I was told that it was an authorization from the PCP. So I called the PCP. I was told that my mom does not need authorization from the PCP because my mom has medicare. Where & how will I get an authorization minutes before my mom's appt? I was so upset. I was told by the receptionist that they cannot perform the procedure without the authorization. And so we left already. Things like that should be mentioned or requested prior to the patient's appointment & not on the day of the appointment. It was very inconvenient & upsetting. My mom needs the result 2 weeks before her next appt.with the doctor. I do not recommend this lab center. They are very inconsiderate & unprofessional. I was told that the podiatrist had 3 calls about the same issue with akumin. They even removed the list of centers that the doctor attached to the request letter. So I have to search for other centers in the internet for the ultrasound.

This place is a nightmare. I was wrapping up the scheduling of an appointment after having given all of my information. We got disconnected and I immediately called back. The woman on the other end (not the same one) told me she had no record of my appointment and that I had to give her all the information all over again. I scheduled my appointment for two days later because the original appointment was no longer available. (How does that happen in a span of three minutes?) I called today because I have a new diagnosis, only to learn that I “missed” the appointment I originally scheduled. The same one I was told did not exist. I never received a phone call for a confirmation or a call telling me I missed an appointment that I didn’t even know I had. To be sure I will not be scheduling any diagnostic imaging at the center ever! Stay away!

Billing department very aggressive; their reported my account which it was paid to a credit bureau and when I call their don’t even want to talk to me and even hang the phone on me. The worst customer service ever, I don’t recommend their services to anyone.

2 hours waiting for Mri but, they explain that they had to call the doctor to clarifi type of mri, they were very nice.

This place is an absolute joke. I scheduled an MRI 2 weeks ago. It was confirmed with the insurance company and myself on a 3-way call. They were provided with the referral for the MRI 2 weeks prior and when I arrived at 9am for the MRI. They took my $420 copay and I sat there for over TWO hours when I was finally called to the window I was told "we have bad news" and was told they made a mistake and scheduled me for an MRI that they don't do. The technician refused to do the MRI despite the CPT code being correct. He apparently doesn't know that the prostate was part of the pelvic area. My copay was returned and I called my insurance company and my Urologist office and both told me the referral was correct for the MRI the Urologist was requesting. These people at Akumen literally have a host of people who have NO idea what they are doing. How can you not know the procedures that fall under a CPT code. How does a person doing the MRI not know that the prostate is in the pelvic ares. This is straight up negligent and alarming. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Department of Health and any other licensing body that applies. Then they tried to schedule me for another appointment at the Aventura offices that are over 1 hour away.bunch of incompetent people.

Upon arrival I was not acknowledged. Finally, was told to sign in. I waited 1hour and 40 minutes before I had to go to the desk and ask what was taking so long. They just shrugged their shoulders.
The ladies that performed the services I needed were extremely nice and kept apologizing for the front desk.

The worst experience ever. Appointment was for 9: 00am. Was waiting till 9: 30, came back to window and that said that my name was on different paper. Left facility without doing any exams. Better find another place, do not waist your time!

They were super nice there. Very professional and fast and they are part of Akumin. It's too bad that it is too far for me but I was able to have a mammogram done there.

This is for the Weston office. My appt.was in the pines office, but ended up at Weston, and I would rather drive to Weston than deal with the pines office again.

Very disorganized. Had my appointment cancelled at the last minute. The day that I was rescheduled for, the equipment seemed to break in the morning. I wasn't alerted for my afternoon appointment. They should close the place if they don't have equipment to use. I will never set foot to that location.

The name of this place is called Akumin. Been waiting for an hour now. Also other people are going ahead of us. However it is a clean place and the staff are proper.

The day of my appointment they were a couple hours behind with the machines because of a storm that knocked them out for an hour, the receptionist offered to reschedule my appointment. Since I chose to keep it she often kept me updated on how long it would be until I would be seen. The MRI technician was very friendly and made sure I was 100% comfortable before he started taking images.

I had an 8: 10 A. M.appointment and I arrived at the facility at 7: 40 A. M. At 9: 00 A. M. I was still waiting. This is an extremely disorganized facility where appointments are not respected. Expect to wait for at least an hour even with an appointment.
