Ellen Koo, MD reviews
3It's with the highest regard I recommend Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, to be more precise the angel Dr. Ellen Koo, MD. My mom came from the Visual Health Clinic where she had her left eye butchered and after 7 surgeries, she lost the eye. She was then introduced to Dr. Koo and her team who was on a mission to save my mom's right eye from cataract and glaucoma. Hesitantly, of course, my mom placed her faith in God and Dr. Koo who in the space of approximately 2 hrs did a tremendous job of restoring her sight and ridded her of the "huge" cataract. Dr. Koo was always very, very welcoming, patient, and pleasant in her actions and words with Mom. Her kind, maternal, and fun personality helped gain my mother's trust to try one more time with surgery, and this time with no regrets. Thank you, Dr. Koo and friends, from my entire family You are simply da best! 100% Recommend
Very unpleasant history. She and her fellow, Dr Shetty discounted my pain. I received mediocre treatment for severe pain. The ulcer in my eye went untreated for a period of time to have caused vision damage. Dr Koo had assured me I would have no loss of eyesight and when treatment was completed and vision problems still existed she replied, “let’s get you glasses”. I won’t return to her.
If you are looking for a surgeon to do a corneal transplant DMEK look no further. I highly recommend Dr. Koo who did my wife's surgery in July along with removing a.cataract and inserting a lens.she had no complications from the surgery and after one week could see. After two weeks she could read the eye chart. After three months she has 20/20 vision in that eye. Not only is Dr. Koo an amazingly gifted surgeon, but her calm and caring personality makes you feel at ease. She is located at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Palm Beach Gardens. Pack your patience when you go there, the wait can be lengthy. But, good things are worth waiting for.
