Didnt have the car we rented at their lot.
Even though we requested it 3 months prior.
But they did rectified it within an hour and a half. But we were late picking up our 8yr old grand daughter & she and all her luggage had to go to work with her mom.

Went to fort Lauderdale to visit family, asked the manager on the phone day before our rental if they had any sporty/fun cars that we could upgrade our original rental (Toyota Camry) to. Manager said she would check inventory and call us back.

Never got a call back, instead showed up to find a VW Passat with a horrific smell of cigarettes waiting for us as an "upgrade". The manager never confirmed with us what we wanted or if we even would want a VW Passat. (Not even close to what we asked for).

We were in a rush to get to our family and unfortunately could not really settle this in the moment. Felt compelled to share this significant oversight for anyone else who considers renting from this location. We will be contacting the management when our trip is over to formally complain.

If I could give less than 1 star I would! The person I spoke to today was very RUDE! I hadn’t had this experience before in any other Enterprise office that I have gone to.

Can I give zero stars? 33 minutes on hold to talk with someone at this branch. 33 minutes! Never got to speak to ANYONE, had to hang up because I had to get on a plane. This is at 1pm on a Tuesday, not after hours or on a holiday. Absolutely ridiculous business model. They DO NOT respect your time so I won’t give enterprise another penny of my money.

Update. 4/23 - Received a call back from the manager, Shannon. Originally, she insisted I'd be required to pay the extra drop fee. Then, she called me back to say she had refunded the fee today. It's kind of bizarre. She has the same polite professional voice which she maintained in all my interactions with her. Only this time she reversed course, likely because of my persistence and this review. I added back two stars because she ultimately did what I believe is right. But, let's review what it took to get here: 1) a complaint to Shannon the day of the return. 2) a dispute with my credit card company where the charge was upheld seemingly without response to the extenuating circumstances I described in detail. 3) a one star online review. 4) a horrific internal survey to enterprise (which triggered no call back). 5) a response to the email sent to me by an enterprise employee triggered by my review on Google.

I'm speculating here, but Shannon is one of the smartest, best spoken customer service employees I've ever spoken to. She was juggling 20 things when I rented the vehicle, and I was impressed by that and recall complimenting her. That said, I had to fight for what I felt was right following an objectively lousy customer experience. I'm guessing Shannon gets pressure, either directly or indirectly, to manage her budget to the penny from executives above her. And while she ultimately did what's right, given how intelligent she seems to be, and how seasoned an employee she seems to be, I can only imagine that my persistence and public review forced Enterprise's hand. If I'm right, and the pressure is coming from levels above Shannon, consider my advice: let Shannon do the right thing the first time. She'll be happier and your company will stand out.

Update. 4/20 - still no response from customer service after reaching out to them following enterprise's response to my review. It seems that enterprise's online presence is not bonafide and only intended to give the appearance of caring about customer service. What a joke, especially considering the size of their company.

Had a pretty lousy experience. 1) Rented a vehicle 3/15/2021 and inquired about after hours drop off. I was told by the onsite employee that I could return the vehicle at either of the two local enterprise locations in Ft Lauderdale excluding the site from which I rented. When I attempted to return to both sites, each site was barricaded. Found that airport accepts after hours returns. Dropped vehicle there. Then, was charged an extra $100 for dropping the vehicle at the airport. Bummer - there was no mention of extra fees for dropping off at a local enterprise when I rented it and asked about after hours drop off. I pushed back about the extra fee and explained what I felt were circumstances that should result in the fee being removed, but the employee on site insisted I would be charged. 2) When I picked up the vehicle the gas was empty and the gas light was on. Minor gripe relative to the after hours experience but worth mentioning. They did credit me a few dollars for the empty tank.

$190 for a one day rental. Not a great value.

4/16 - just responded via email to "HH" presumably from enterprise corporate who replied to my review moments ago. Will be interested to see if this reply from enterprise corporate is to provide the impression that someone cares or if I'll actually get a call back. I've already provided all of the same information to enterprise via a survey and via a credit card dispute and never received a response.

I made reservation on 04/22 for 6pm. Spoke with 3 persons on the day of getting the car, last person whom I spoke with told me, he would call me back at 5pm, to confirm if I would get the car, am thinking, why make a reservation if a car may not be reserve. Up to now am still waiting for the call back, I really don't think I would rent or recommend anyone for using this location. I gave 1 star because I have to leave one.the common courtesy would suffice if I had gotten even a call back.

Horrible experience. When I first picked up my rental it was one person working waited an hour with my children before we got the car. When I dropped the car off the location was suppose to open at 9am no one arrived until 9: 30am. I missed my uber I had picking me up (still fighting that charge) and had to rush through the airport after having surgery. Please hire some help. The young lady who helped on the way I'm did the best she could she was very polite and hard working.

We went during spring break and even though we had a reservation, I have to wait HOURS to get a car. Because of covid I’m sure they lessened their inventory but then don’t accept the reservations! My family was stuck at the airport while I waited for the car! That being said the manager and staff were helpful polite and understanding. I don’t blame them, it was a corporate issue.

Reservations don't matter. Booked week in advance and as my plane lands they call to tell me they have no car and I'm on a waiting list of 12 and they will call when it's my turn.
I found a car elsewhere at a better price.
This could really ruin someone's plans and they do not care. Customer service 0

Waiting from a call back from corporate or the district manager for a mistake the call center did I needed paying more then what I should have. Terrible customer service. This happened March 18th and was told someone was going to contact me with in a few days. We are in April now and no call back. Everytime I ask to talk to someone that can help me with my issue. Corporate transfers me to the branch. I have been told multiple times that the branch cannot help me. The brach location amazing very helpful and over all great. Call center I cannot say the same Erwin helped me and booked my rental and messed it up and I ended up paying more then what I was quoted after he was the one to book it. Very upset with how this is being handled. My company I work for works directly with you I can't believe this is how you do business. Very disappointed and still waiting on a call back to resolve my issue. Also contact customer care online. Nothing from them either.

I made a reservation for a car and when I came they did not give me one. I spent a lot of money for the uber and not only me was waiting for the cars but 13 people also were.

Charley Harlis is honestly the best person there to ask for help. He was patient, easy to talk to, professional and efficient. I want to thank you for making this experience easy and accommodating, give that man a raise!
