Gym Equinox Brickell reviews
21I just finished a massage with Oscar. It was the best experience I’ve ever had. I was having back pain from not sleeping and the session from him felt like I had slept from 8 hours or more last night. I really enjoyed my session.
Working out can be hard at times. But at Equinox I found an environment which helps me overcome the need of a good rest. It’s almost a pleasure.
I am obsessed with my Pilates instructor Jill at this EQX location. Let me just start off by saying that I have been snowbirding in Miami since February to escape the NYC cold winter and to visit with family that has relocated here for the winter. Never in a million years did I expect to stumble upon the most AMAZING pilates instructor of all time! Yes, that’s right—you read it correctly, the most amazing pilates instructor of all time! While I am a Pilates enthusiast, I can say with 100% confidence, that Jill will not disappoint—and I’ve worked with some of the top Pilates instructors in NYC. Let’s be real, Pilates is the ultimate method of physical maintenance and strengthening—it’s basically like physical therapy that actually provides results you can see and feel. But for some of us, we get bored with the slow pace of yoga and [depending on who you have as an instructor] pilates. Jill will not only get your body right in the sense that she will correct the alignment of your body/posture/form—but she will challenge you and push you that extra mile (so long as you’re up for getting pushed to be at your optimal level of physical fitness) —so no matter what you do…weight lifting, golfing, basketball, dance, or literally any other sport or fitness regime, Jill will help you strengthen and maintain your base form and fitness so you can do all the physical things that you love, at your absolute best and avoid injury by having a solid base. I will also note that Jill will not bore you in any session—which is great for those of us that are fitness “over-achievers”—again, so long as you are up for the challenge of obtaining that optimal level of physical fitness for yourself. If I could clone Jill, and bring her clone back to NYC with me, I would. She’s that good. Just saying.
We visited the gym and spa while staying at the four seasons. I had the best facial with Bianca and my skin has never looked or felt better. Her professionalism and kind demeanour were great and she talked me through the whole treatment and what it was doing to my skin. Also, a big thank you to Carolina and the Equinox Spa customer service which was excellent.
Deep Tissue massage with Oscar was heavenly. His comprehensive knowledge of kinesiology and ability to apply varied levels of pressure was entirely therapeutic. Left the place walking on a cloud.
I barely ever leave reviews, especially when they are not on the positive side, but this time I felt that the service provided is not acceptable. The gym itself, equipment, and classes are very good. I love yoga classes with Steven (he is truly amazing). However, the management does not meet up to the expectations of a premium gym experience nor even a regular gym. I have been chasing the manager for last 4 days to cancel my membership and the manager never returned my calls/emails after multiple follow ups with the front desk. I understand that we are all people and may forget to call back but having to wait 4 days and following up twice a day with the front desk is unacceptable. The front desk does not always pick up the phone and is not particularly helpful.
I hope that the service can be improved and I really wish I just had a bad experience but looking at the past reviews it is clear that the management seems to be an issue.
The first thing you notice when you go over the reviews is all bad comments towards management, I wonder? Really bad experience. So disappointed ️
Came here as part of our stay in four Season hotel and really enjoyed this place. Back home in SF I used to go the the one on pine street but is not as good as this one. The machines we well maintained, the place is clean and staffs and trainers are nice, especially KJ Miles. He’s a cool bro!
Great layout and spacious. Lots of equipment for both cardio and weights.
I go as part of my stay @ the Four Season and it is extremely convenient.
The eucalyptus fragranced cold towels are a great feature.
Be very careful when you sign up. I signed up to try it out with a clear message from the sales person that if i didn't like it I can cancel. After much back and forth I got a confirmation email on Jan 28th confirming my cancellation. Then in March they tried my credit card (which it declined) It took more than a dozen calls to the Equinox before they would return my call. They said they would take care off the cancellation. It's more than 5 weeks later and I am still having issues.
Be wary if you want to sign up they will be very helpful and nice. If you want to cancel, expect no one to return your calls, major headaches and people saying things and then not happening.
Small gym with limited equipment. I have been to other Equinox gyms, they have more equipment. WORST MANAGEMENT EVER. They will go above and beyond to try to sign you up, once you do they absolutely stop caring anout you. They charge you when they are not supposed to and would not issue refunds.
Terrible management. They have failed to reimburse fees (initiation and account freeze), according to the terms of the active promotion for when I joined. It has now been more than 2 months, with regular complaints, with no final action by club.
Just a lack of accountability and responsiveness that is unacceptable for any service, specially one that sells itself as premium.
Beautiful building, eyecatching. I cannot provide more specific info as I was just a tourist from Europe staying in Miami for a week and this building impressed me enormously.
Just became a new member. Daniela was my gym rep who was very friendly showed me around and gave me a big welcome into the Equinox. Wish they had little longer working pm hours since some of us are night owls but oh well it works for me as it is.
Been to Equinox gyms all over the country. This one sucks. It also smells terrible. Like an old Gold's gym. Gross.
Who staffs these people? So rude. Was looking to sign up for membership-yeah no thanks! I stick to the reviews of the majority of the people! RUDE!
I work with Richard Ryles and before I met him I was skeptical of joining. But he was extremely personable, knowledgeable and someone who you can trust. Hence I am now a happy member of Equinox,
Group fitness classes are excellent and the facilities are very nice. Not too big and often crowded. Definitely recommend if you're living in Brickell and looking for a gym!
It is a good gym, a little small but still well used. It's usually not full and the classes are amazing. Only problem is it's crazy expensive for personal training and if you want to bring a guest it's $50 per day.insane.
There's a membership advisor here called Daniella who is a pathetic excuse for a human being.i will not be joining any Equinox ever after receiving her lousy service and dumb attitude over the phone.
