HORRIBLE SERVICE. Also check out the TikTok of her shoving her poor elderly father. She doesn’t deserve to own anything. This place SUCKS.

I hosted my best friend's baby shower at Erika's Tea Room yesterday and it was a fantastic experience! From the first phone call when I reached out about scheduling the event, the customer service was fantastic. She responds so quickly when you email with any follow up questions or concerns. Everything was set up beautifully when I arrived and the service was amazing. I purchased the favors from the shop and they were so pretty! The food was DELICIOUS and they remembered that I was the only vegetarian in the party without me having to remind them-that never happens! The scones were so good that a few of us ordered some to go home. The corn chowder I could easily have eaten a gallon of, the egg salad was fantastic and we finished with the strawberry shortcake which came with FRESH strawberries! I got texts from the attendees afterwards to let me know how much they enjoyed themselves, how wonderful the food was and what a wonderful time they had. As the planner, it was so nice to have a venue so easy to work with. I only had to provide the gift tags for the favors and show up with games we played. I would have another event there again in the future without hesitation! Erika and her mom were so welcoming and gracious.

Erika’s Tea Room is a fabulous hidden gem in the heart of downtown Clermont. We just love going there for High Tea. Everything is made from scratch and with love! The variety of teas to choose from are incredible! The scones are simply the best! Second to none! They are moist yet crumbly like they are supposed to be. Not dense or hard and the delicious white chocolate Devonshire cream - muah! The homemade soup is always hot and delightful. No matter what soup is offered it is sure to make your taste buds sing. The tea sandwiches are made with wonderful fresh bread and the favors of the chicken salad, egg salad, tuna salad, cucumber cream cheese, etc.are all to die for! The quiche? Wow, where do I start with that? It is always extraordinary! I love all the different varieties that are offered from traditional Lorraine to my personal favorite sweet potato. Ohhhhh, wait I’m not done yet. The desserts you say? Those delectable treats are such a nice way to close out the meal whether it is a cupcake, tart or pie it is sure to be make you wanting to come back for more. Don’t miss out on going here!

The door is always locked and the owners are always rude. Idk how these people are still in business. Don’t waste your time.

My mom and I are tea fanatics. When we fell upon this gem we had to stop in and take a look around. It is such a nice establishment. The service was lovely. This place is truly a treat if you love tea pots and accessories.

Found the experience quite odd but walked away with a tea set. Firstly, the door was always locked behind you. I’m guessing this is a safety issue, or maybe they fear the Clermont residents. Not sure. The lobby with the tea sets is relatively small, and the younger woman handling this area is very intrusive and will not stop talking. She would not let us process a thought without being right there to push more merchandise. It was clear it was all about money for her. The purchased tea set was lovely, but again, the overall experience was very unpleasant, and I won’t be returning. A tea kettle with two cups and sauces ran us about $100.

SHE WAS SO RUDE! I'M LITERALLY IN SHOCK! Me and my aunt were so excited to come here. When we arrived, there was an "OPEN" sign in the door but the door was locked. So we politely waited outside until a blonde older lady (who I assume is Erika) opened the door. She sternly asked "Can I help you? " I asked if we could come in and she huffed "We're busy" (with a rude tone, like she expected me to know that already).

I was confused by what she meant by "busy" (maybe there was a tea party going on in the back?) so I asked "Can we not come in and shop in the store? " But then she cut me off and said "Have a nice day" BEFORE SHUTTING THE DOOR IN MY FACE!

My aunt and i stood there in shock that she didn't even try to explain what was going on. I can't believe we were looking forward to coming here and supporting her business. Never mind! Not even worth trying again with her nasty attitude.

And based on the other negative reviews, I'm wondering if the fact that I'm Hispanic had something to do with it.

[edit] UPDATE: 5 minutes after this happened, I was sitting on a nearby bench and saw that she happily let in a group of like 5 older white ladies who wandered over and clearly didn't have a reservation. But she was too "busy" for me and my aunt. Yep. This lady is a racist.

Freshly made scones is just one reason to make a reservation for high tea. Every thing was just amazing! Soup and sandwiches absolutely delicious! Can't wait to go back.

Whatever you do, if you are a minority do NOT step foot in here. They are racist and prejudice. Being Latin they seized me up, blocked the entrance so we don’t walk in, and gave me the nastiest attitude. They barely let me look around. It was my first time and I was eagerly looking forward to a cup of tea and buying some nice tea items. They told me it was a “high class” reservation only, yet I did not see a sign anywhere. I said I was “just asking it was my first time here, ” and the lady behind the counter said, “well we are just answering, ” with the rudest tone and attitude and giving me the dirtiest look. Please Do NOT come in here to support this small business if you are a minority or do not support racism/prejudice! This was by far the WORST experience I ever had in Orlando for the last 8 years living here, they should be disgusted of themselves!

Found this place in Tea Time magazine. I was going to visit a friend in Florida and decided to check it out. The owner greeted us at the door. We were a little early and thought we would check out the gift shop. She said it was OK for us to find now or shop first. So, we decided to done first. The tables were nicely decorated for fall. The waitress came over and showed us the list of teas to choose from. There was a long list of different teas. Once we choose our tea, we selected our scone from a choice of five. These scones were the best I've ever tasted outside of Ireland. They were so moist and warm. Then topped with a Devon cream combined with white chocolate. This is the best cream I've ever tasted. It wasn't too sweet but very delicious. Then came the Entree which was pumpkin soup and a choice of 3 sandwiches or slice of quiche. Then finished with a red velvet cupcake to with chocolate ganache. The food was some of the finest I've tasted and I've been to many tea rooms. The staff was outstanding and very personable. Their knowledge of the teas were very informative and on spot. I definitely will return again. And will join their scone monthly subscription. The only fault I have with this venue, is to move their office business from the dining room or put a screen around it.

My mother and I went here a couple of days ago, and we can easily say that we will be coming back again! The tea house had a very pleasant atmosphere due to it's fantastic staff, and the tea was just as incredible as the food!

You know how some people add joy and light to whoever they meet? Well, that is not the case with Erka's tea room and the owners there. It had been a couple of years since I had tried to take people there and my last experience had been a very poor one. I had been treated very rudely by Lila - the mother/owner and had decided that I would not return. However, we had friends in town from Seattle and I figured since it had been a couple years it might be worth a try again! The beginning of our visit went well and we were pleased with our scones and tea. Our waitress, Cecilia was absolutely lovely! However, once again Lila decided to show her extraordinary rudeness once again. After my friend had asked the waitress if she could keep her plate with the clotted cream and getting the okay - Lila came over and snatched the plate. My friend tried to explain she was hoping to keep it to use on the rest of her meal and was told very rudely that she didn't need it and there were plenty of other things on the table. I expressed to her that perhaps since my friend was the customer and wanted to keep the clotted cream that perhaps she could be the one to make that decision. I received no response from Lila. When Lila came back a few minutes later I asked if perhaps my friend could get a bit more clotted cream. Again no response. So we asked our waitress who explained that she was not allowed to give us anymore. When Lila brought out some more of the food I figured I would go to the top and ask one last time. She gave me a very strong "no" and then walked away talking badly about us to the waitress where we could hear her. I was appalled at her poor customer skills! It was extraordinarily rude and inexcusable. At this point I decided I would quietly go speak with the other owner/daughter - Erika. I waited until I was certain there were no other customers and went out and quietly explained that I would rather communicate directly with her as opposed to posting something on social media. I explained each of the issues to Erika and could tell I was getting absolutely nowhere! She said that it was their policy to clear the table. I explained that I thought maybe allowing a customer to retain a small amount of clotted cream wasn't such a very big deal. As I was getting a stone face and minimal "I'm sorry you feel that way" responses from her I thought I would explain our last big frustration of her mother actually being rude about us within our hearing. Her apology was possibly one of the worst I've ever heard! Her apology was exactly this - "I'm sorry you heard what you heard. " Are you kidding me? If only the story ended here. But no! On our way out we decided that we were not interested in eating the dessert there and asked for it to go. Again Cecilia was lovely and boxed everything up for us. It took a moment for my mother-in-law to get her dessert in the bag and for us to get out the door. In the meantime my friend was looking at some of the jewelry in the front of the shop. Erika said to her "If you're not going to buy something don't even bother looking! " Seriously? When my friend expressed that we would not be returning, Erika said "That's fine with us. " I had spent nearly $200 on our visit there. With food and purchasing some of the items in the gift shop area. I promise to absolutely positively never go back to Erika's again. I had heard mumblings about rude behavior over the past few years but I really had honestly gone in there with high hopes today. If you're looking for a tea house - I recommend you go elsewhere.

We had a such a great and lovely experience at Erika's Tea room. The food is absolutely delicious. Scones are the best I've ever tasted. All the different tea pots and so much more to shop for anyone in your family or friends. The owners were the most helpful and kind always willing to help. I would recommend this place to all my family and friends. They have amazing food and such a beautiful tea shop.

This past Saturday morning me and my family woke up excited to check out what teas Erika had to offer. We even made a point to have breakfast downtown while we waited for her to open up. However, we left extremely disappointed.

After eating breakfast and strolling downtown we finally came upon Erikas Tearoom sign reading “Open”. It was about 30 min past opening. With a smile on our faces we reached out grabbing the door before realizing it was locked. It couldn’t be so.is she closed, did she forget to unlock the front door? I quickly grabbed my phone to check the hours and tried calling to see if mabye it was reservation only. While I was calling Erika my husband was looking inside saying “there is people in there.they are definitely open”. No answer from Erika so I hung up and told my husband to knock she must not know her door is locked for customers. Before knocking she looked at my husband, turned her back to us and started minding her own. Of course she must have not seen us.let’s knock! I knock on the door and she turns around and proceeds to shoo me away! Never again will I be returning

**not the only one 10 min later after passing by again after visiting another shop a couple was standing outside equally confused.
