Escambia County Tax Collector reviews
22My parents went in to update tax info this morning and the ladies in booth 8 were incredibly accommodating, knowledgeable, and extremely efficient. It was an enjoyable experience for a situation that is not always comfortable.
Ms. Kathy is awesome, i went the first time to see what i needed to do to get my licence back.she told me and printed it all out for me with a smile on her face. I came back 2 weeks later, and was lucky enough to get ms Kathy again. She was great once again, got my license back and im good to go.give that women a raise
Jesse was very helpful and personable. We actually had a good time at the Tax Collector place when my mom took me to get my learners permit
The DMV's appointment scheduling system ensured that our wait times would be minimal. We phoned for our appointments a few weeks in advance. Once we arrived, we were called up to our respective booths within 5 minutes of our scheduled times. While we were waiting, my child and I enjoyed the mini museum in the back of this old bank building. The beautifully restored door to the safe was the highlight. The photos and other exhibits inside the rear hallway were also worth seeing.
Scheduled online for an inline position to get my wife an ID Card. The original time posted was approx. 2 hours from the time I made contact. However, then the time jumped to almost 3 hours and we thought we had plenty of time to get there. Within minutes we were texted that it would be an hour and we left the house for a 15 minute drive. On the way there we received another text that we were next in line. WHAT? Upon arriving at the address, abt 10am friday, we had to find parking. Another text telling us they are calling our number.this is crazy now! Still looking for parking and we were told to sign back in, which we did. Parking continued to be illusive, which is very frustrating.just a bad location as the texts continued to come in telling us we were next and then that they were calling our number. Finally a parking spot and the meters were all jammed with coins, fortunately the city service guy was there clearing them. We parked, ran two blocks and went right to window 10. Then we realized we had to sign in at the front desk. We signed in but the system did not recognize my phone number. DAMN! Showed the woman all of my texts and she said "but you were late! " WHAT? Then she said she would accomodate us. Within about 5 minutes they called us. We presented all of our docs and they issued my wife's ID card right on the spot! Halleluyah! System needs refinement
Didnt think it could get worse than a NY DMV. But this definitely takes the cake. Extremely slow, probably 3 hours to get a temp plate and on top of that what sense does it make to have to have a vehicle present to register it, the point of registering it is to be able to drive it on the road, so then I gotta pay 5 bucks for a a fake license plate to roll with, scam artists
Complete joke! Told 60 minute wait. 1 hour 45 minutes. They prioritize the people who come in. I watched 20 people come in after me, get served. They said some customers move faster than others. BS!
I forgot to mention that Miss Nobles in the office, lectured me about how their office works instead of apologizing about terrible service. Did I mention I got a $20 parking ticket because they didn’t serve me in the time specified. This office is terrible!
I’m very confused how my husband who isnt %100 disabled or even disabled at all got his ID free and I have to pay 55 dollars?
I come to this place and there is very few people, it may take about 1 hour and all i had to do was turn in a certificate that states i finished an online course for a ticket, well 1 hour turns into 4 hours or more and more and more people show up and they decide on your behalf that you’re not important so they put more and more people in front of you.horrible experience,
Everything was easy and went smooth. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely more enjoyable than the town I came from. Thanks.
Ordered tags for my dads car online picked them up. Wasn't even in there 5 minutes. A nice woman helped me as soon as I stepped in line. She checked my ID went behind counter to get what I needed and then I was done. Best and fastest experience at a tag office ever.
Wow. I know the DMV has a reputation for being slow but this place has earned it. The downtown office has limited services available by their Qless system. The next available appointment is showing 28 June. That's over two weeks away. Unbelievable. I've had some acceptable experiences here, so they get an extra star, but avoid this location if you can.
Can't even contact them, machine doesn't give an option to speak to a representative and when I try working through the machine it eventually hangs up on me consistently.
I would rate zero but that's not a option took 4 hours to switch my driver's license and no body hardly in line
I called the day before to see what I needed for a Florida license, a car tag and homestead exemption since I recently moved to Florida. I thought I received the full instructions to this. I thought it would be easy. I was dead wrong. I got there I didn’t have all the information for a license and without that I can’t get a homestead exemption So far two strikes. But I could get a new tag for my.car. As I was waiting I saw my #on the board and got a text message saying I was next in line. My # disappears and I went to find out what happened. I was told an appointment came in and was put ahead of me. Then another # appeared on the board ahead of me again. I have been here 2 hours and apparently still no closer in getting served. I waiting mr stone who is the coo of this agency. My wait went from 1 minute to over 40minutes after a 2 hour wait. The staff are good at passing the buck. Will write another review if I ever get services. I left in disgust at 2: 30 pm.apparently my car vin # had to be read physically by them. So I didn’t get anything accomplished. My friend who has lived here 6 Yerba told me that people here r not efficient and do not take pride in their work. She was so right! I do want to acknowledge those ther who helped as much as they able. KAthy mr stone secretary told about an app that if I had known about would have me a lot trouble and a clerk named amanda. The least helpful was the assistant manager named Wendy. When i complained about their service she told me that was just how things work. I call that being lazy and I’m poliet
Elizabeth is AMAZING! An appointment was made to get an ID; she was very nice and also answered a few other non related questions to help me get my license back. (Which helped 100%) Fast forward a few weeks to get a license. Using the app “QLess” to get in line, my wait was very short and Elizabeth helped me again! Not once did she seem aggravated/ annoyed/bored.and she remembered me and congratulated me on everything! (It’s the little things) She was so sweet and helpful. The time spent at each visit was 30 minutes at the most!
Read if you’re military.
This place couldn’t be more comically incompetent if it were an SNL skit. I left a similar review for the Barancas location because I’ve unfortunately wasted a lot of time time at both locations. No matter what they tell you, if your military on orders and don’t plan on changing your permanent residence to Florida, YOU DO NOT NEED TO SHOW YOUR TITLE (just registration and orders). If you are like me and are still paying off a vehicle, certainly don’t waste four months and 5 trips to the tax office attempting walk them through the title request process. Because on the 6th visit, they’ll tell you it wasn’t needed in the first place.
Silver lining: If you’d like a refund for any temp tags you might have uselessly purchased while you were waiting for said unneeded vehicle title, you can make a short road trip to Tallahassee where you can petition the DMV.
Can't believe they close at 4: 30. They turn you away at 4: 00. I've never taken care of any business within one trip. Over charged for anything to do with DL or an automobile. If I just had the time I'd file complaints with Tallahassee, people have the Right to Free access to the Government during normal business hours, 9 to 5.
Went to the Barrancas location and the experience was very poor. People that came after me were seen ahead of me and they did not have an apointment. They need to fix that check in system because it's not working.
This place should be a model for nationwide tax/boat registration offices. Incredibly friendly and professional. I have had two experiences registering boat/trailer in the past year and these people make the experience very stress-free.
Thanks for all you do.
