We signed a contract with Vlad
Bernstein, owner of European Painting to paint the entire interior of our remodeled home. We paid him 2/3 of the contract price (progress payments) and he quit without finishing. He came to me and claimed all of his workers had quit on him and he had no one to help him finish our home so he stated he was quitting. He left us in a terrible position as we were trying to move into our home. I think he received the majority of the contract and just didn't want to finish. I would never recommend him and would not advance him payment until the project is completed.

UPDATE: I never stated this was our best paint job and furthermore you told me you were quitting your business and moving away to live with a relative because the stress of painting had also caused you to start drinking heavily and smoking everyday again. I believed you. But unfortunately it was all a lie because you were lining up jobs after our house and I never witnessed your employees quitting, you told me they did. So I don’t know if that’s the truth or not either. If you were a man of honor you would have finished our project instead of taking on new work. I am only recommending that future clients proceed with extreme caution with you.
