Evergreen Lawn & Pest Control, Apopka FL

I re-sodded my lawn a few years ago and hired Evergreen to take care of the spraying and fertilizing. Everything was fine for the first year, but this year chinch bugs took over my lawn. I called them multiple times, and it took them weeks to come out to spray, they never returned any of my calls, they never came out and resprayed in time so the chinch bugs kept coming back. As a result, I lost about 50% of my grass. I've been calling and calling them to try to get someone to come out to address my concerns. Every time, they send out a supervisor who then never calls me back. Then next time a different supervisor. I've spent months calling them with no return calls, asking them to have a supervisor call me, and every time they don't follow through. The communication is absolutely horrible, and they do not stand behind their work. I definitely do not recommend them.

This company has really gone downhill since it changed ownership. A technician applied too much chemical to our lawn in an area in the backyard, which burnt the sod and killed it. Since that time, we have had several managers view the damaged area, acknowledge that Evergreen was to blame, and promised to replace the sod. On October 11th, the General Manager, Jeff, personally came to our home and promised to have the sod replaced by Thanksgiving. The sod has still not been replaced, and he has not returned calls or messages to let us know when the issue will be resolved and the sod replaced. It has been nearly half a year that we've been waiting on them to correct their mistake.

I wish I knew how they were, called several times and it just rang and rang, finally got a voicemail and left a message with no response- are they still in business?

My lawn looks worse now than when I first hired them. Very disappointing, as much was promised but little was given.

We signed up for new service in July 2023.paid "initial fees", etc. Very detailed sales pitch up front, then no communication afterwards. Besides the service our lawn looked no different and still had a ton of weeds after 2 treatments. Nearly $500.00 later and no follow up, NOT HAPPY. I get its a business, but no ROI, no customer service, etc. It was so bad that I had a CC on file, and kept getting notices, but no explanation, etc. I called twice with no return calls, and emailed, with no communication. I suggest shop around or go to the big box store and save $400+ dollars and treat your own lawn.

I reached out to Evergreen based on the positive reviews. I received a text on Monday asking for my full name and address, and I responded immediately. I received a follow-up text indicating "Tom" would contact me to schedule time to assess my lawn. On Thursday I still had not been contacted so I replied that I was still waiting to be contacted. Crickets. It's now Friday-Tom hasn't reached out to schedule an assessment, and the person who initially texted me is not responding either. I don't know how Evergreen stays in business.

They are a good company for lawn service, however be careful if you own small pets as they will get sick. Secondly their billing needs to be adjusted for recurring payments and then I would give them a 5

Today James B service my lawn and after he done he left the invoice at the door and I asked him about Walter the other person that did my lawn before and he doesn’t know him so he started to share some new service that Evergreen is doing, adding Pest control for I can request to get the pest control on my account. James explained everything he added to the lawn today and what to be looking for to prevent anymore dollar weed to keep growing. Great service.

Jeff came out at a timely manor and went above and beyond. We have a tight crawl space but he still went down without any question. We really appreciate his service.

Always having issues of them not spraying all of the sections of the yard when they do it properly it the yard looks great.

I had yet again another great experience with Jeff. He is so knowledgeable and patient and you can tell he just goes the extra mile when he comes to your home. I hope I continue to get him for my pest needs. Thanks Jeff you’re amazing at what you do!

Have had Evergreen for some time now and at first thought they were on top of things without having to be asked. I've had the same issue many have had the same displeasure dealing with, they come out do a quick pass through the yard and leave. It never feels like they really stop to look at the state of the yard or look for issues. I thought Evergreen was better than this but I was mistaken.

I started seeing more and more weeds pop up thru my new Pro-Vista sod, and asked the tech if he was on top of them. He reassured me he was taking care of the weeds but they kept getting worse. He noted on the slip after each visit he sprayed the weeds and I should see the blue dye, which I've never seen when he's been there. I've asked him numerous times if he hit the weeds and he stated again yes, but didn't like using the dye. As the weeds exploded across my yard I called to talk to a supervisor. He told me the tech's don't carry the chemicals necessary to deal with the sedge, and he noted he could come out and use Roundup on the yard. So riddle me this Batman, if the tech cant use the necessary chemicals to treat my yard, and I have to call and complain to get a supervisor to come out to take care of the issue does continuing to pay them really worth it? For $108 every 7 weeks I should not have to complain to get the service completed, and now my back yard and brand new sod look horrible.

We had secured Evergreen Lawn & Pest Control services and after a few initial struggles, Mike Chapman, the GM of this location dug into our concerns and brought a concerted effort to bear. He has helped us turn both the relationship and our overall lawn health around and I am happy to recommend them.

Have been an Evergreen customer for years and am very satisfied. Tony, my favorite lawn guy, is exceptional. He rings our bell to ask us our concerns and leaves us a thorough write-up of treatment and condition of our lawn. He is always pleasant, professional and respectful.
