Eye Centers of Florida - North Fort Myers

Awful experience! First off, you have to wait on hold FOREVER any time you call. One of the times I called, I asked about the paper work needed for a first time patient and the lady on the phone didn’t know anything; she transferred me to someone else who also didn’t know- just bad service and not so knowledgeable staff. Also, I had to reschedule my appt twice already and then on the 3rd time, my appt had been set for almost a month and then a few days before, they call me saying they have to reschedule me due to the doctor having an emergency and the next appt is not available for another month! The lady had a “professional but I don’t care” attitude. Wasted almost 2 months of my time when I should have just gone somewhere else!

If you want to wait more than 2 months to get some contact lenses, this is a great place to go. They take their own sweet time doing everything. Today, I had an appointment, I called to confirm that appointment. I was told everything was fine. That was a LIE. When I drove way out there (20 minutes from my house), it was closed. Been closed since Friday, and today is Monday. Did I get a phone call? No! Did I get an email? No. Did I get any kind of notification? Absolutely not! So if you have a lot of free time, don't mind wasting your gas, and you don't want to see anytime soon, this is a great place to go!

I was very impressed with the quality of care at this facility. Everyone went above and beyond and turned a normally dreary appointment into a pleasant experience. I have already suggested this place to a family member.

Very upset as place is extremely short staffed and can never get anyone on the phone. Could not remember if I liked the trials given months ago since opted for glasses and was instructed due to policy I needed a new exam and that no trials will be given again…Had a yearly exam appointment scheduled in January and once arrived was told “since last appointment was recent no new exam necessary AND was given trial contacts AGAIN”. Did not see clearly with the prescription and requested a follow up appointment…. However, was told once arrived to follow up from trials given (AGAIN). “since yearly exam is due in May, I needed a new full yearly exam ”. CONFUSED AND FRUSTRATED to why I was told no new exam was necessary in January and given trial contacts to retry in the first place if I was going to need a new exam regardless. Staff took no consideration of the possibility of not being able to see with trials. Should of just kept my original January full exam appointment! A waste of time! Seems as though a lot miscommunication with office staff.

You have to wait on hold a long time before you speak to anyone. If you request a call back, it takes hours. I've already waited two hours and still no call back.

I had a very good experience with everyone who works for the Eye center in Fort Myers. The front desk was pleasant and helpful. The staff who work with Doctor Heidet are all professionals and caring people. I will use them again and again. Very pleased especially with Doctor Heidet. Thank you

Everyone was very professional and I loved Dr. Haidet OD. He was very thorough and very relatable and always very patient and answered all my questions. Now my husband is going to ECOF.

I switched to eye centers of florida about 6 months ago. Fantastic experience Dr. Haidet and his team are amazing and very knowledgeable.

Dr. Haidet is a hidden gem. He‘s extremely professional and patient. My whole family goes to him now. We all recommend 10/10

Sept. 19,2022 I had the most amazing appointment at the North Fort Myers office. From the front desk, the techs in the back and Dr. Stephen Haidet, it was the best visit. The staff was respectful and knowledgeable. Dr Haidet has a great "bedside" manner and is up in the latest treatments. I have been going there 3 years and this was the best visit. Would HIGHLY recommend him and this office.

Horrible Service! Never again! Had a minor problem with prescription That was given to me, I wear Varilux bifocals and ordered transitional lenses, paid $300, said they will be in in 2 weeks, it was less (I was happy) but when I picked up the glasses, the one eye was all blurry (wrong prescription) and they WERE NOT transitional! Went back in, the young girl had a very strong accent and I feel she misunderstood me from the get go and wanted me to pay an additional $70 to send out to get transitioning fii ok r nearly a $800 total (with my ($200) benefit, beware of the business, unwilling to take accountability and refused to help! She just took my glasses back and said I’d receive a refund in 2 weeks…. I NEED my glasses, will NEVER deal with Eye Center of Florida Again!

I highly recommend Eye Centers of Florida in North Fort Myers. I needed minor repairs on my glasses and they took me without an appointment and made the repair free of charge. It's great to find professionals like their employees.

I was very pleased with this office and will continue to go here for years to come. The staff was very friendly and my appointment was on time! All of my questions and concerns were answered without feeling rushed like most offices I have been to in the past. This office has a great team!

The Staff and Dr. Haidet are very caring and thurow proffecianals with my eyes after cateract surgery! All have a very good attitude and very friendly spirit, but caring also! I would definitely keep coming back for all my eye care from now on. Thank you Dr and staff

I waited a couple of years to see if the eye enhancement of $4000 was successful. My close vision is not any better now, and it was before. This procedure was to be able to see close up without any glasses. It took me two years to pay off. I am extremely disappointed in the results. For me, I threw away $4000.

So far, on hold for 7 minutes to schedule apt. Called back and chose different option and was advised: 1) reception area short staffed and backed up. 2) inquired about patient reviews stating one and two hour wait time and was advised: “ that is not true”. We shall see……

We have been dealing with Eye Centers Of Fla Cape Coral and North Fort Myers for many years. I would highly recommend Dr. Quinn as an ophthalmologist as he is very calm knowledgeable and very nice to deal with. We also have been dealing with Eye Centers Of Fla North Fort Myers for our eye exams and check ups for the last three years. We are highly impressed with the new team. Dr. Haidet is amazing and his staff are wonderful to deal with, they are very helpful. Kayla Michaela and the newest member I met today Maria are great and love dealing with all of them. I’m so happy we live close and can have our eye needs met at this location. Thank you. Dr. Haidet and team, keep up the excellent service.

Receptionist said they were behind as she couldn’t check everyone in earlier. They only had one doctor so how many patients could she have had to check in? Then she admitted they double booked two people on top of that. So my appointment was an hour behind. When I was done with my exam, the receptionist was not at the desk to schedule my next appointment. No one was there at all. So I just left. Very unprofessional receptionist. Will not be going back there.

I showed up without an appointment because of an eye issue. The receptionist was so kind & efficient
I was quickly brought to an exam room where I met a kind & professional Tech. Soon after Dr Mallory Thompson came in to attend to my discomfort
And that She did! After a very thorough exam she knew the cause of my pain
Tonight I am so much more comfortable & so grateful
