Eye Surgery Associates, Pembroke Pines FL

As a practicing physician, anytime I go to see another doctor I look to see if this is a practice that I would refer patients to. Unfortunately based on my experience today, I would not send my patients to Eye Surgery associates. Although the doctor was fine, she was fairly cold and impersonal. The staff seemed hurried and not really interested in my experience. Not what I would say a consumer directed approach. They got my name wrong almost every time I was called. Either they would call me by my last name without any Mr.or Dr.or they would just call me by my first name without asking me if that was OK. The final straw came when they said that I needed to see a retina specialist and when I asked to refer me to someone, they were unwilling to schedule me with the person that was recommended because he was leaving the practice. That seemed a little odd. Seemed like I stepped into some office politics that honestly should not have affected my patient experience.

Furthermore they said that I should come back in a year but that I should call closer to that time to arrange the appointment. That again seems not very consumer friendly. They did not even offer to call me closer to that time to set up the appointment. Maybe I’m being overly sensitive but bottom line I’m not going back and I’m not referring any of my patients.

Excellent service. Very professional and a reasonable waiting time. Kind and friendly staff. Dr. Fishman is an excellent professional who takes care and cares about the patients.

Horrible communication, I made an appointment no one told me anything about a fee that had to be paid. The two white or Spanish women up front have horrible attitudes and Customer service…. One of them referred to me and my daughter as “They” I feel like their was a lot of nice nasty behavior displayed. The office manager was really no better, if this was an appointment for myself and I was there without my daughter someone would have gotten cursed out.

Just had cataract surgery with Dr. Fishman and he was great, didn't feel a thing. As a matter of fact, everyone at the center was super nice and helpful. I have no complaints.

I have been going to Eye Surgery Associates for decades! I think their doctors and other staff are excellent! They have always treated me with professional service and friendly, courteous care. I would recommend them highly!

The office staff is professional and they keep you moving throughout the process. Dr. APARA kept me calm and talked me through the exam. He looked over all exams and made me feel better with his explanations of what he saw. I would recommend him and this practice. Thank you DOCTOR APARA.

Dr. Jones and staff are highly skilled, thorough and friendly which is a great combination for great eye care. Highly recommend in fact I travel 54 miles to see him. The best!

Harder to get appointment. On the day of the visit, it was very quick. Hardly any wait time. Doctor and the staff were very cordial and friendly. Great Experience. Thank you!

Everything was Professional but the wait was way too long. Appointment was scheduled for 7: 40 a.m. And did not get seen till 8: 20 a.m.
