Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Destin

This hotel was clean and the staff were very nice. The hot breakfast w vegan options was refreshing.

Very, very clean, no funky smells in hotel. Pool was very clean. Service was great. The lady who does the breakfast area needs work. No personality at all.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The service was excellent! Plenty of options for breakfast. Very clean and well maintained eating area. Right across the street from Henderson Beach State Park (If you walk or drive through the gate you must pay just FYI) I highly recommend this hotel for you stay! You can see the beach from the patio if you're facing the street. Turn right then make a left at the light into Henderson Beach State Park.

I loved everything about it. Service is great! And it has a Tesla charger, which makes it even better

Its really nice, has 2 pools, and a fitness center, indoor pool was what pulled me in.staff was super nice, price was more reasonable than the competition.

We love this location and stay here often! Directly across from Henderson Beach and the amenities are great. Indoor pool and hot tub as well as breakfast.

Good things: comfortable beds, front staff, clean rooms, nice location, plenty of towels. They said they upgraded, maybe paint and carpet, still look old in rooms with old furnishings. Maybe downstairs was upgraded. Could be better: Breakfast staff not too friendly, basic breakfast with instant grits and oatmeal, gave snacks, but I would rather have free water, key started not working and digital key, and weak internet. Would I stay again - maybe.

NO internet for five-night stay. Hours trying to resolve. Employee confessed intermittent and non-functioning internet has been an ongoing problem at this hotel for weeks. My wife was unable to "Work From Hotel" so she flew home two days into our stay. (It wasn't "us. " We were able to instantly join wi-fi's at other businesses in the area). One of the two elevators went out one day into our stay. Still wasn't fixed when we left. Breakfast bar food items were lacking or out often. Staff was mostly unfriendly - like they were doing us a favor to do their jobs and they'd rather not. Took two days to get housekeeping to clean our room. Also, the hotel charged my card more than what was on the Bonvoy app pre-paid reservation. I left a note, detailing the situation, but have not heard back from the hotel, and don't expect too. Overall, this property's management is lackluster and the full extent of their customer service is "we're sorry for the inconvenience" and not action after that. A complete lack of urgency. In terms of the internet, we were going to change hotels but the prices of the hotels in the area - given it was last-minute and Spring break - were exorbitant. Marriott offered to book us into another hotel, with no discount, and said they couldn't guarantee a refund on the no-internet hotel we were staying in. Thanks for nothing. Of the hundreds of hotels we've stayed in over the last couple of decades, this is the worst hotel experience in memory. Very surprising for a Marriott property - they are usually average or above. We chose this for the location - across the street street from Henderson State Park - but there are plenty of hotels within a half-mile of the park. Needless to say, we won't be staying at this Fairfield ever again.

Watch your credit cuz they double charge and then you have to fight with your bank because they claim they have no clue of the double charge

This is our go to in Destin. Located basically in a restaurant parking lot. So you can walk to eat. Across the street from beautiful Henderson Beach.

Visiting a couple friends that were in town and I must say that it was very very nice and clean the parking lots were very well kept and plenty of parking spaces. And there is actually a heated inside pool that's right next to a nicely equipped gym and the outside pool is beautiful there's an on site laundry room but it's $2.00 per load

Hardly any lights in the room. The Aircon unit had a bad and damp smell, probably filters not replaced in a long time. We were staying in the suite with the balcony but the lounge area of the suite was a joke, it had no light not even one or any lamp, no TV or anything just one couch in a dark area lol. Good sunrise and sunset view from the balcony though

This hotel was perfect - the staff were helpful and knew the area. Bright fresh and clean good sized rooms - highly recommended
