Falafel King, Gainesville FL

Food was great and fast. Fed my sister my self and my two kids off of two platters. Kids ate up the desserts too. The hospitality was awesome as well asking about our meal, very friendly and would definitely keep supporting this small business when I make my trips to Gainesville going forward.

Had to drop a 5-star for the Tabbouleh alone! It was super fresh and yummy! Falafels were on point and the hummus too! Plenty of vegetarian/vegan friendly options and the service is great. Will be coming back for more:)

Falafel is supposed to be crispy, not soggy and paste-like. It was a mess. I was very disappointed. The pita tasted fresh, though.

I was very pleased with the service and the portion size of this restaurant. I especially loved the Baklava!

Found this gem while driving by from Orlando. Outstanding flavors and super friendly staff. Tried the lamb shank, which comes with rice, hummus and tabule. I found it flavorful and reasonably priced. I would visit again any time I’m around

I found this place through doing some renovations for the owner (currently remodeling the bathrooms and soon the whole restaurant will have a fresh look)
I had been eating at grill express for a while with my friends and always enjoyed their falafel wrap but man, let me tell you, this place hits different! They make everything and I mean EVERYTHING in house, fresh. Nothing is fried so it’s all healthier. I have yet to eat a single thing on their menu I don’t like. My friends that came to help with the renovations both said this is their new favorite restaurant in town.
Truly one of my happiest coincidences finding this place and I will be a lifelong customer.
Oh also, the prices! So much cheaper than other places and the portions are outstanding!

The restaurant is a family run restaurant and the food has a lot of flavor, the restaurant owners are very friendly! The meat IS ALL HALAL! Don’t t let the past reviews discourage you try it and trust that it’s good

The food was great. However, the portion of food that I paid for didn't match. I paid way too much for the amount of food given. I had four small kaftas beef pieces, and the rice was about one spoon full spread out to just cover the bottom of the container. The hummus was sizable placed in the container, the tabbouleh not so much. My small daughter, who barely eats, said she was still hungry after eating her falafel. To me, that says a lot about the portions.

My suggestion would be to either bring the price down or give a more portion-able size of food.

In my opinion I felt like I did not get enough food for the price. In my opinion, similar restaurants offer more food for the same price. I had ordered a gyro wrap

The staff at Falafel King were warm, welcoming, and attentive. They took the time to explain the menu and made excellent recommendations. Their friendly and helpful service added to the overall positive experiences.

The food was amazing and the owner was very nice and i got the chicken plater and it was so good customer service was outstanding did an amazing job on the chicken and thay deliver bite squad grubhud that gave us free stuff to so come try️️️️️and he is my uncle and he treats everyone like family

I’ve passed by this hidden gem too many times while visiting Gainesville. Finally stopped in and I’m so glad I did. The hummus and Kafta were amazing. One of my new favorite restaurants.

This is one of my new favorite places to stop by in Gainesville. The food was fresh, fairly priced, and delicious. Service was quick and the staff was extremely kind and helpful with recommendations on what to try. Overall a pleasant experience and great find

Decent gyros (best in Gainesville so far). Wish the "breading" was thicker like a pita

I eat from this restaurant all the time. Their food is not greasy or oily so I never have problems after I eat their food. You get a good quantity of food for the price and can tell that their food is fresh. As far as service goes, the staff is very friendly. The restaurant is always clean even on busy days.
