Falling Waters State Park reviews
16We weren't even looking for this place, but really glad we found it. It's not the biggest, but it's super nice and the waterfall is actually really cool. We'd love to have seen it after a big rain, but oh well. Still cool and if we're out this way again, will definitely take the kids. Cheap and easy entertainment.
I didn't even know this existed until we planned to go to the caverns and looked into what else is in the area. This place is beautiful! Being from Florida we never knew waterfalls were here until this trip. It's amazing how you can have such an adventure in your own backyard that you never knew was possible! I look forward to going again and many people have decided to make the trip after our posts to Facebook!
Very beautiful clean park with campgrounds, kids play area. There is a trail to the lake. During my visit the falls had moderate flow. Go down to the fall during morning hours when nobody is around, you will be surprised see and hear what nature gives you.
Love walking the trails! Everything was nice and clean! Small swimming area but water is dark. Falls are pretty and something to see. Not much else to do there though.
Chock-full of critters. Lots of birds, plenty of lizards, and at least one mystery rodent I couldn't identify. Unfortunately, not a very well kept secret. Show up before 10 to beat the throngs of children and loud trucks.
Awesome!
Got to see this Park, Great day use area complete with pavilions and a swimming lake, Restrooms are clean and plenty of them, Campground is beautiful with many shaded and comfortable sites with sizes for about any size Camper, Staff are friendly and ready and able to answer just about all your questions, fire rings and Grill are at all sites and grills are also scattered in the Day use area, Don’t forget to view the waterfall, Everything is ADA accessible.

Awesome park!
Just a few min drive off Interstate 10 and it's a beautiful waterfall and state park with lots of accessible trails and even a swimming beach
Great and informative park we had a great time checking out the waterfall which was noticeably several degrees cooler than the rest of the area which was nice. They had signs up telling about the park, it's wildlife and the surrounding vegetation. Very clean and stock restrooms and park with playground area.
It's a really nice state park with only 24 campsites. Water and power. Dump station on site. The facilities are clean. No laundry. Outside wash station to wash dishes. Kids play area, volleyball and horse shoes available. A lake, sink holes and a waterfall in walking distance. Also a large picnic area with a kids playground near waterfall. Definitely will return.
Fun for the whole family, there is a nice play park for the kids, a swimming hole with picnic benches, and relatively easy short hiking trails. If you want the best view of the waterfall, plan to go after a heavy rain.
Stopped by on a road trip to witness Florida’s largest waterfall. Tallest waterfall may be more accurate.
Scenery was traditional Florida wilderness, but nonetheless a refreshing break from hours of travel through urban areas.
The grounds were well maintained, with minimal litter and clean walkways.
$5 Admission fee for a vehicle
The park is absolutely gorgeous! $5 a vehicle to get in with hiking. Camping. Swimming. Playground available for good. Clean family fun
This was a fun break from our drive from Birmingham to DeLand. We strolled out and around the area and had a picnic overlooking the falls and got back on the road. Not too small or too long of a hike. Just enough to get out of the car on a road trip.
Beautiful state park with waterfall. Shaded paths or walking trails and picnic tables for lunches. The festivals are really nice their too. Kid friendly and the live music was fantastic!
We go to Falling Waters every year, but this year we went to the Rocking the Falls Festival and had a wonderful visit, kind people great music and wind through the pine trees.
Nice walking/ hiking paths. Path to the waterfall is paved and wheelchair accessible. There's a roped off swimming Turtle Pond with a sandy beach. There are turtles, alligator warning signs, and the occasional water moccasin, but take a dip.it's Florida! Endless rock skipping opportunities on the lake. Great camping areas and overall a really nice park to visit!
