Great food, friendly staff, no-frills, pleasant atmosphere. It’s everything you want in a breakfast/lunch diner and it always feels better to support an independent local business. This is a good one.

One of my favorite places to go for lunch after Sunday church. The food reminds me of my mom and home cooking.so very disappointing that they are no longer open on Sundays.

Very nice and friendly staff who was very welcoming. The food was absolutely amazing and super tasty. I ordered green beans as a side, and I never thought that green beans could be prepared so wonderfully, but they were absolutely spectacular. The southern fried chicken was perfectly cooked and had wonderful flavor. The rolls were baked to perfection.

Every single thing about this place was awesome. For sure a mom and pop restaurant, & the bathrooms were nice and clean. Food was outstanding! Southern comfort food at a great price. I had the fried green tomato & bacon sandwich and fried okra and it was delicious.

This is a MUST! I had the chicken livers, mashed potatoes and gravy and collard greens. Took me back to my grandma’s house! Their food is made with love!

Down here good Southern Cooking is “extremely hard to find”. I have even talked to people who have lived here their whole life. They would always send me to Cracker Barrel. Tho, Cracker Barrel is good food, but by no means is it like sitting at Grandma’s table by in Tennessee. Today I was super excited to find off the beaten path Farmers Market Restaurant. It has been here since 1952 and is the “ best keep secret in Fort Myers”. It is currently the oldest continuously operating restaurant in Lee County. I had chicken Livers /fried green tomatoes / and green beans. Let me tell you.tears came up in my eyes and I literally dance in my seat. Everyone was looking at like I had went crazy. It was like I had just sat down at my Granny Smith’s table. Everything tasted just like I was back home in the Tennessee Hills at my grandmas. This place was amazing and full of history. I highly, highly recommend if your in Fort Myers and looking for homemade (everything freshly made everyday) Not nothing frozen. Everything home grown and fix right there. You definitely got to stop by this place! I “promise” you cross my ️ you will not leave disappointed! Oh! I forgot to tell you everything you see on the menu is someone’s only speciality. Everyone in the kitchen has certain food that they only cook over and over. The cooks and staff have work here for years. Please stop and read the pictures of it’s history. I am telling you this place is mouth watering Southern Cooking at it’s very best! Just about puts my Granny Smith’s cooking to shame. That’s no lie. ️️️

Best Southern down home cooking. Had sausage gravy and biscuits. Loaded with sausage and flavor. Tender fresh warm biscuits.

This is a local's favorite. The restaurant is not located downtown but a little down the street. You can easily see the sign from the street.
I liked the dinner rolls. They were light and tasted great. The corn muffins tasted good also. You get a basket with both with your meal.
I ordered the country fried stake. It came with two sides. I chose fried okra which I liked and a potato and bacon soup. The soup was good. It was nice and creamy. The country fried stake was overdone. It tasted okay but a little dry.
The restaurant is cute and busy. It was packed. The price was fair and the portions large.

Tasted amazing. Good price. Amazing amount of food. I got a 9$ pulled pork sandwich that came with fries and I expected a decent sized meal. That was enough to feed A KING and tasted AMAZING. Definitely recommend this place for anyone who likes tasty home style food

Wanted to get some great breakfast this morning you had to offer. My wife and I got there at around 10: 40am and was told, we're going to lunch menu. Seriously, at 10: 40am? Who eats lunch at that hour? And then it took 35 minutes to get my "lunch" as if the transition from breakfast menu to lunch delayed our meal and obviously it did. I have NEVER heard of a place with an extensive menu that doesn't offer breakfast prior to 11am. Not impressed with our first visit. Oh well.

What a nice little place. Big menu with lots to choose from. I like the idea of daily specials for entrees as well as sides. I am sure they have regulars on a weekly basis. I was a little saddened after all the food arrived that my daily special was not available. I quickly ordered the daily soup and was quite pleased with it. I should have asked about their balsamic vinaigrette, because it was one of the better ones I have ever tasted. Staff was friendly, and restaurant was clean. Of another note, the bathrooms were surprisingly top notch. I was expecting them to be a bit more rustic. Definitely an 8 our of 10 for the bathroom. I'm not sure I will ever be back this way, but it was a good memory, and I'm glad we stopped by.

Pleasantly surprised. In an industrial park area of Ft Myers. Best breakfast place in Downtown Ft Myers. Worth the ride. Safe, clean, cozy. Thank you for excellent breakfast and service

Wow! Not sure how we’ve never eaten here before. Excellent southern style comfort food, down home staff and a quaint, comfortable dining area. Large portions, reasonable prices, kids really enjoyed their meals, which doesn’t always happen.

Had salad, cup of soup & a piece of pie. Salad looked like they just dumped some lettuce out of a bag, nothing else in it, no tomatoes, eggs, cucumbers, croutons. Cup of Creamed chicken soup was good, but not enough. Price of $7 seemed very high for the 2 items. Piece of Coconut pie was $4.50 but was delicious. Was given my pie in it's clear plastic container with no fork as if I were going to take it home, but I had intended to eat it there. I never asked for it to go. I went ahead & took it to go home. Husbands pulled pork sandwich & sweet potato was good he said.

We had a family gathering in September and Farmers Market Resraurant was a great help in making it wonderful. They had our large food order ready for pick up on time and the orders were accurate which rarely happens in most food take out. Everyone enjoyed their food. Thank you for the great food and service

This is a nice country style type restaurant. The decorations on the walls are real cute. The cooking seemed to take to long and one of our item was under cooked. The reason they got a 4 and not a 3 is because they corrected it very quickly. The waitress were very nice and their tea was better than most.
I plan on going again.

We went here for my mom's 75th birthday. She was in the mood for some good Southern cooking, and the menu choices looked good. Wasn't too crowded at noon on Saturday. They started us with warm, delicious yeast rolls and corn muffins. Mom had pulled pork with greens and okra and tomatoes. She said it was good, and she had enough pork to take home for dinner. I had fried pork chops with potato skins and broccoli salad. Everything was excellent! The pork was juicy but not fatty. We shared a slice of pea pickin' cake which was also excellent. I brought home a piece of peanut butter pie for my hubby and he thought it was better than many others he's had. Overall, an excellent experience. We would definitely go back!

The best place ever for breakfast! Staff is always great and the cheese grits are the best. The ladies that work here are awesome! Dang good coffee also. I have been going to Farmers Market for breakfast for almost 15 years now and I will continue to go as long as they stay open.
