Favorite Dental, Port Charlotte FL

Went in for a toothache was told extractions start at $ 240 Nasty office My tooth was cracked and I was in pain charged me $90 for an x-ray and to look at tooth told me a simple extraction would be almost $1300 laughed at them paid my $90 bill called another dentist was in his office within an hour charged me $211 for extraction and everything Shady shady shady. Office was dirty Dentist wasn’t in room three minutes do your self a favor Go to somebody else. Could barely understand the staff or him Wouldn’t let them work on my dog The dentist that ended up pulling my teeth said he’s heard numerous complaints about them and their prices he said I should report them to the BBB

Great people, great work, great environment. I would recommend this dentist to anyone looking for any dental work at all. They will always make sure you are as comfortable as possible, AND take care care of your teeth.

If you’re looking for an outstanding hygienist, Mindy is the girl. I just started going to favorite dental in Port Charlotte, and she really knows how to clean your teeth. A lot of hygienist just go over the surface, and you’re in and out in 10 minutes. I have had Gum surgery, and I need a good cleaning, So I don’t have any issues. I highly recommend Mindy she not only does a good job, but she is dedicated to her work and is concerned about your welfare.

Not worth ANY special they offer!
I spent $90 on xrays and what they called an exam. The dentist didn't even look at the tooth. They couldn't offer ANY prices when asked what procedures were nessessary. On top of it they were unreachable on a Thurs (not a holiday) all day starting from 11am till 5pm. They also wanted a $50 fee paid to release the xrays to me or to send them to a dentist office previously visited. Doesn't even deserve 1star.

I was told my exam would be free so I went to have my tooth looked at since I knew it needed to be pulled. After the Xrays I was put in a stinky overflow room for an hour, when the Dentist finally came in she started talking to me like she didnt even look at the Xray, shocker! She didnt! They then tell me to wait while they send the xrays to the doctor that would do the extraction, he finally replies and says he will do it. Now HERE is my Favorite part! As I'm leaving they tell me it will be $100 for the initial visit! NOT FREE! And they they tell me it will be $500 for the extraction! And then another $125 foor a follow up.
This place is not worth the hassle! Save your time and money they are a joke!

The staff and dentist were impeccable, I'm one of those people who are scared to go to the dentist. They made my time there very pleasant, I will be only recommending the favorite dental to everyone i know and meet. Thank you again for everything favorite dental. See you again at my next visit.

If you don’t mind making an appointment but still having to sit and wait 45 minutes then this is the place for you.

I went into favorite dental and Mindy was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend them.

I would not recommend this shady practice. They offer a extraction/exam/xray special and then insist that they put you under sedation for the treatment or otherwise they wont do it to drive your bill up. They took an xray of my mouth, the doctor never bothered to sit down and examine my situation. He was just interested in how much money he could make. Charged me for an exam that never happened. I will stick with my gut in the future and go to a reputable dental professional.

First off: Was trying to get an emergency appointment for my husband and they understand what "emergency" means and managed to get us in the next morning.

Next: The office staff is professional, knowledgeable and everyone works well together quickly.

Finally: Dr. Alexander Gaukhman was decisive with a good explanation as to why the procedure had to happen. He is not going to hold your or sugar coat it and frankly, it was REFRESHING! Thank you. He extracted my husband's tooth quickly and had him home recuperating before noon.

The next day, he is doing much better. We may have a new dentist! Thanks again.
