Fifi's Fine Resale Apparel, Sarasota FL

I have found some good items here but make sure to look over everything before purchasing:). There is a large selection to chose from and I’ve never had a bad experience!

When I shopped and purchased, of course everyone was kind and helpful. They invited me to consign. Very disappointing and humiliating. As owner was not present, helper was kind and accepted about 30 pieces of good costume jewelry that she examined thoroughly. She was encouraging, and selected the pieces she was confident would sell, and told me to check back in a week or so, when items were out on display. Month after month trying to contact them, for about 4 months, one excuse after another. Finally owner begrudgingly gave me about $1 per item, claiming items were lost or thrown away, cruelly demeaning and insulting me in front of customers. I was shocked. Can't imagine how they maintain consignors, or even customers after this public display. I obviously will never shop there again. CONSIGNORS BEWARE.

Great place to shop! I always find something cute. As a larger lady (5'11'' and a size 14-16, with a shoe size of 10.5-11) sometimes second-hand shopping is hard, but not here! They have a wide selection of cute things in my size. The staff is always super nice. The sales are fairly decent. Would highly recommend

I have shopped at the store on Osprey for many years and also have consigned endless bags full of clothes. I read the reviews and have to say that for me every time I have entered the store I have been greeted with a cheerful hello. There is always a friendly person who recognizes me and welcomes me back. I am a happy and appreciated costumer and feel that the inventory is exceptional. Sometimes I just go to drop off items for consignment and pick up my check for items sold, and while passing the time I find new items I have to have. I ALWAYS find amazing and well priced items that I fall in love with. I LOVE this store and have only good things to say about it.

Extremely unhappy with Fifi's in Sarasota. I dropped off clothing for consignment and spent a long time in their store and purchased several items. One was rather expensive for what it was, and when I arrived home I realized that it was supposed to be part of a set (the tags from the other item were still attached to it) and the OTHER PIECE WAS MISSING. I called right away and was told Fifi would call me back BUT that since I didn't know it was a set, until I got home, and yet I purchased the item anyway, I'm was probably out of luck. Yes, I did purchase the item and yes it was definitely more than I thought it should be but I loved it enough to spend the $$ on it. However, that's not the point. The point is that Fifi's in no way tried to make their mistake right and they are either mis-representing the value of the items they are reselling or they are really disorganized, misplacing clothing and then telling customers "too bad"when they question it. It seems a little dishonest and the fact that I was told "You bought it that way, so too bad" (in so many words) is definitely not the customer service you'd expect from a place that is supposed to be an upscale resale store.

Additionally, when I dropped off clothing for consignment I was never given any sort of statement or list of the items they took. I asked twice for this, but was told they don't give their customers statements. I think this is ridiculous. They enter the items into the computer, so they can print out a statement so that I can keep track of what they took because obviously, they lose clothing.

Not a good experience, and I don't feel they have much integrity or care about their customers. I most likely won't be shopping there again.

Had to find something to wear to a wedding (last minute shopper). I found so many cute outfits and the 2 young ladies were AMAZING!

Beware when consigning with this shop. First experience (and last) consigning a pair of white shorts - brand new with tags still attached. They were deemed flawed/soiled by the staff AFTER I'd left it the shop. They say they threw the item out or donated them I think they should have photographed the "damage" and emailed it to me! It's a lot to ask me to take their word, and now I think any damage happened through their careless handling or a customer's clumsy dressing.

I've had good experiences here in the past, but the few times I've been in the last year no one has said a word to me the whole time. I'm also very disappointed to walk around the store and see designer knockoffs. This does not seem appropriate for a "high end" consignment store. You will be much better served at Beautiful You Boutique right around the corner.

This is a great store to shop at! Kandee and Bri are very helpful ladies.they literally go out of their way to help their customers. Both funny and kind, also good sales ladies, I am one satisfied customer that will always keep coming back!

They honored a discount for one customer in the store today, but not for me and I'm a regular customer. Interesting!

Be careful ladies, the handbags may not be legit. My wife bought a Jimmy Choo for over $200 and it turned out to be a knock off. Last time she will shop there.

They can point you to just what you're looking for. Clothes in great shape. Nice store. Good prices.

This store has no air conditioning, shame on the owners to make their workers, work in that type of environment. I will never shop in this store again.

Was recently in both stores located at 52nd Place E and had the unfortunate experience to witness Judith Williams in person berate and belittle her staff. So unprofessional, unnecessary and cruel. I would never buy anything from an owner that treats employees in the manner I witnessed on Saturday. Not to mention the fact that the furniture is WAY overpriced for used.

I would like to add my kudos to the Sarasota FiFi's. Although small, I find the store to be very well organized and the clerk's very plesant and more than helpful. The selection is large - I'm sure you will find what you are looking for. My first encounter with FiFi's was in Apollo Beach which is equally a great store and a great bargain. I sell cloths in this store and am very pleased with the outcome.

I just read the other review and feel compelled to balance the scale. There is a lot of merchandise, but it's a great place to shop and sell. The prices are fair and the people are very nice; ask for Vicky. I would recommend selling your clothes here and buying as well.

I love, Luv Luv Luv this place! Name brand clothing, name brand shoes but most of all name brand purses for such a reasonable price. I Luv It!

I loved this store!
The selection and quality of their clothes were awesome. The process was very easy. I sold several pieces of St. John and Chico. They all sold the first month, I got a check on the 15th the following month. I will be bringing more!
