Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop reviews
18Loved the location, such a great spot for sweets! They have a great selection of pies Kara and Monty took the time to answer all of my questions and suggested I get the cookie monster pie! Which was AMAZING! Highly recommend.
The best desserts in Miami, almost everything is spectacular:
-red velvet cake: 5/5
-carrot cake: 5/5
-pumpkin cake: 4.5/5
-turtle brownie: 2/5
-red velvet cheesecake: 5/5
-oreo cheesecake: 4.5/5
-three milks: 5/5
Oh boy. This place is a gem. The assortment of cakes, pies, and cookies is fantastic. We ordered a slice of the monster pie, tres leches, and carrot cake. Wow, that may have been the best carrot cake I’ve ever had. The tres leches was great, the bites with cinnamon really hit the spot. The monster pie contained all the food groups - a must try!
So delicious! 10/10 - The dulce banana ice cream is what dreams are made of. Guava cookie is a MUST.
Love this bakery, have tried most of their flavors throughout the years, they are delicious and consistent. Highly recommended. Four stars because I find them overpriced, $12 for a small slice of cake is a little overboard.
Fireman Derek's is a must-visit bake shop! Their signature dessert, the crack pie, is a caramel lover's dream. The cheesecakes are incredibly delicious too. Yes, it's a bit pricey per slice, but trust me, every bite is worth it. The flavors are rich, and the quality of the ingredients shines through. Once you taste their creations, the price becomes an afterthought. Treat yourself to the delectable delights at Fireman Derek's, and you won't be disappointed!
Not much to say, only that their cookies are AMAZING! A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. If you love cookies this is a must have.
Love love this bakery! Premier gave above and beyond service. Miami needs more of that around!
$23 for TWO SLICES of pie! That’s why they don’t post prices. Never coming here again. I used to be a regular customer but this is beyond outrageous. Not even in Manhattan.
6 stars for this delicious cookie, pie, cake, and ice cream shop. We had the chocolate chip cookie and the white chocolate guava. Both were warm and delicious, but that guava cookie is INCREDIBLE. Next time I fly to Miami, this will be a must stop for that one.
Unique dessert spot that centers on pies and cakes! They also sometimes have ice cream on the side. We've tried several flavors and have really enjoyed them all. Great service as well with kind staff. The pies weren't too heavy and were very enjoyable. The whole area is very walkable and lively, so great place to enjoy dinner and dessert overall.
Fireman Derek’s is one of the most nonsensical places in Miami, they won’t add chocolate ice cream to a milkshake because it’s “against the rules”. But they have a sign that says make your own shake and sell chocolate ice cream so it boggles the mind.
Average to below average. My group and I ordered 4 desserts and none were special. Won’t be coming back.
Atmosphere:
About a year ago they moved to a new headquarters that is located near the heart of Wynwood. This new location is much larger and its decoration is very colorful and allusive to the products that are sold here. They have a counter where you can appreciate the wide variety of cakes, cheesecake and Pies.
Service:
You approach the box where you place your order. All the staff are extremely friendly.
Meal:
As I mentioned before they have a wide variety of tortas, cheesecakes and Pies of which you can buy whole or by personal portions.
My favorite cake of all time is the chocolate one and believe it or not, I am a zero fan of chocolate, but the ones here are from another planet. Also a cheesecake that I can recommend is the one from Cookies & Cream, since it has such an exquisite flavor that it never makes you sick and in order not to be so fond of sweet (LOL) you cannot leave without trying the Pecán's Pie.
Parking lot:
Parking is complicated, it is located on a main street, you have to look around.
Honestly their guava cookies are heavenly. Not to mention I can't get enough of their amazing key lime pie. A bit pricey but I think it's worth it.
Great service and amazing pies, cakes and milkshakes. Sad that the Nutella red velvet was discontinued. I strongly feel that this one should be brought back permanently. Hoping that this review is red and heard by the owner so it's brought back. Please.
Quite probably the best NY style cheesecake and cookie monster pie we’ve ever tasted. And the coffee, …. Wao! Cafe con leche is awesome!
Oh my goodness. The cookies are bomb! There’s no need to heat them up because they’re already soft when they serve it Plus, the Cookie Monster cake is delicious. That thing is so friggin good!
