First Baptist Church of San Mateo, FL

I have started with VBS for my granddaughter. But I have found this place to be a wonderful faith fill church following God's Word and teaching. The congregation made me a complete stranger feel right at home. I'm happy to say you'll find me there most Sunday mornings from now on.

Sweetest church family you could ask for. More important, our pastor, A J Hatfield preaches the no frills Gospel from the King James version. ️️

I saw a couple of bad reviews and thought I should maybe write mine. This is the first church I’ve gone to as an adult that preaches the meaning of true gospel of Jesus Christ. I have been going here for a couple months now and been warmly welcomed every time I walk through the doors. I don’t ever feel judged or out of place. If you are seeking God you will be able to find Him here among these people. My daughter goes to the Sunday school, the teachers are very kind and good with the kids.

Some people here are highly unfriendly. Nearly crashed on the way here with the person Rod who drove the van, as well as being bullied by an adult who attended here. I often felt unsafe, even when I prayed. I do not go here any more now.
