Five Sisters Blues Cafe reviews
36We loved our food, kids did too! Sangria was good if you like a little on the sweeter side! If you want to sit inside be sure to make a reservation, but they were able to seat us right away outside on the patio which was great too!
We made a reservation by phone for 6 PM because the week before we waited and the waitress told us to. I got a confirmation by email on Open Table shortly. When we arrived we were told the reservations desk was not working and everyone was saying that. We said we called can you check? The hostess loudly said you can wait 20 minutes. I said well there are at least 4 open tables and no one waiting, so can we have one of those since you aren't holding tables? So again she said you can wait 20 minutes. So we left and won't be going back after a long history of eating there every week or two for five years.
My family and I ate here about four or five years ago on vacation and it was delicious. Tried it again yesterday and it was just as good if not better. Amazing atmosphere, great music and tremendous food! I’d give it 10 stars if I could.
I don’t know if Aunt Sarah is still alive, but if not she must be making her fried chicken in heaven! It’s like a Sunday afternoons picnic. Mac and cheese is creamy and delicious. The fried okra is crisp and the Chicken and waffles will make you wish you had a second stomach. Several desert choices, but I had the blueberry bread pudding. It was a bit more dense than I’m used to, but was covered in a bourbon glaze that added the perfect amounting sweetness without being to sweet.
If you are looking for a great place to grab a bite you should definitely come here. The service is also fast, fast fast!
We've been here multiple times when visiting Pensacola. Everything is good! Meatloaf, fish, dessert etc. Order the fried chicken, everyone loved it.
Enjoyed the food had a good atmosphere the live music was a little loud. Parking can be difficult at times.
Came here with my friend on a Friday night! We waiting about 15 mins for a table. Got seated and they moved us to another table. Service was good! Music was sooooo loud I had to scream to talk to my friend who was sitting right next to me. Food was good!
Best fried chicken I know of and all around great southern cooking. I've never been there for the live music, but I hear it's worth checking out too.
BBQ chicken fail. Good Fried Chicken. Great atmosphere, great service. Today I had the bbq chicken special. Two leg quarters w no skin. They were so small I thought I was eating rabbit or some thing. Taste like they baked it or boiled it then dipped in bbq sauce just before serving. No caramelization or flavor. Had collard greens for a side. Sad. So bitter and this is the best time of year for them. Some smoked neck bones and a little pinch of sugar and they would have been awesome. It was like eating at a nursing home or something. Unless you order the fried entrees you are buying the location and atmosphere not great food.
Great atmosphere and down home feel. Food is prepared with care and excellent every time. Great specials everyday, i rarely order from the regular menu.
We got the Sunday special of Prime Rib but it wasn't prime rib at all it looked grilled and it was M - MR. I've never known any prime rib to be grilled a d the Au jus was more like onion soup mix and over salty. I ordered fried fish, blackened shrimp and grits. I was expetting corn meal batter but it was flour batter. The black eyed peas o early salty. First time e e walking away disappointed.
Small bar but the barkeepers were great. Manager Sonya came by and asked how we were doing and if everything to our satisfaction. Very friendly place with good menu food and drinks. It's going to be a must when we're in town
Food was meh. Mom had fish and shrimp and grits. Grits was kind of watery with no flavor. Fried chicken was over battered.mac n cheese had no flavor. Collards had mostly stems. Service was good tho.
Oh my goodness! Unbelievable service. Prices are reasonable. Nice place for family or business. Food was amazing. Can’t wait to go back
Love the jazzy atmosphere! Food was delicious & the prices were surprisingly cheap for dinner. We will definitely return
The fried green tomato sandwich was not worth the carbs, calories or money. The seasoning on the tomato was just not tasty. Nice place, but I made a poor choice of food.
Really nice little place hidden just down the street from the baseball stadium. The food was good and the service just good.
Food and service were great. It was our first time here. I had the pork chop, which was thick, tender and delicious. Our server, Mina, helped my wife come up with an off-menu dish of grilled shrimp. We'll be back.
The food was great as usual; however, the service wasn't that great. We were one of only 3 or 4 tables in the restaurant and our waitress just seemed preoccupied. No eye contact and very not interested. The food though was awesome as always.
Appreciate how quickly our food arrived. Everyone was pleased with their order. The food was delicious, hot and fresh, especially the iced tea.
