I used the Flagler Hospital emergency room on Fri, Sept15,2023. The care I got was exceptional. I was fortunate to get right into triage. The staff was very kind and thorough Dr. Donald Monroe was the doctor on duty. He was very professional and attentive. My nurse Angie Welch was also wonderful. Everyone I came in contact with were pleasant and caring.
Thanks to everyone

The entire nursing staff at Flagler Hospital during my Out-patient Surgery was amazing. Each step along the way was explained in detail with friendliness and the utmost professionalism. Sam the Post-Op nurse went out of his way to assure my comfort and needs were met at all times. They all made the best out of a uncomfortable procedure.

Er nurse very innatentive and hostile. Refused to give me discharge instructions after the physician verbally told me that I was discharged. The nurse said that if you leave, my discharge will be considered a discharge against medical advice. How can my discharge be against medical advice when the ER physician told me I was discharged. She refused to give me my discharge instructions. I am sure they will bill even though she harassed me for no reason and lied that I was considered leaving AMA. Her behavior was strange, erratic, unprofessional and hostile. Shame on this hospital for placing this nurse in the ER. She is dealing with extremely ill people and appears that she enjoys demoralizing me for no reason.

One of the absolute best ER experiences I've ever had. I know that comes with a grain of salt because no ER experience is ever during good times. Checked in at triage and it took longer for me to get my blood pressure taken than it did for the staff to know what was wrong and order the proper labs for me. Add on another 5 minutes and the labs were done and I was settled in until discharge. The worst part of my experience here was how steadfast the staff were in ensuring I was comfortable and well that it interrupted my sleep I was getting while I waited for the IV to finish draining, and that's actually a great thing. Thanks to the staff and doctors that took care of me whilst I was being somewhat difficult to work with and still doing your jobs. 6 stars, 10/10 do reccomend to people.

I would give a ZERO if offered!

I was suppose to have surgery today (September 18th). To make this a little short I get a phone call from finance department of Flagler Hospital about my surgery. The lady on the phone goes on to tell me I need to pay $4800 to keep my scheduled appointment. I reply by for what? She tells me this is their procedure to collect before surgery. I reply by saying I've had to deal with plenty of surgeries and never had to pay first. Now remind you I have good insurance through the USPS. I tell her I don't have $$ like that laying around. She replies by saying I guess you will hv to reschedule, I said nothing can be done she goes on and says you can pay $2400. In that time i say so your refusing me medical attention that is against the Law she replies no you just dont have the $$ to schedule it. I reply again don't have that laying around. Shes tells me that I will need to reschedule. So I call back on Friday and try to get this fixed. I get them on the phone and tell them what's going on and details of yesterday's convo. I get told I know who this is and what was told to me yesterday is what needs to happen (same woman). I reply by I don't have that amount she comes back and says 1k I reply I can do $200 now and set me up that amount every month on the same date. She replies we dont do that and I guess you will hv to cancel. I have scheduled the procedure with a different hospital and whats funny i dont need any $$ upfront to do it! I will not go back to this hospital even if life depends on it I will let it be known to take me anywhere but this hell hole!

I had broken my ankle in 3 different places and had to get rushed to Flagler hospital to put my ankle in place until I could get surgery and when I woke up from being put under I was in excruciating pain because I knew something was not right and the cast was so tight my circulation was slowly getting cut off, which made the fluid from my broken ankle get squeezed to the surface of my skin, which gave me big blisters and on top of that my right ankle was not set the right place and there was not pharmacies open 24/7 her and I had to have my mom to drive around and find a place and we had to go to Jacksonville the next morning I had to get rushed the next morning to Wolfson Children’s Hospital hospital to have them cut my cast off put me back to sleep and put my ankle back in the right place for swelling to go down so I can have surgery I do not recommend anyone going to this hospital it is worth it driving to Jacksonville I promise no matter how bad the pain is

Labor and Delivery-
I had a wonderful experience with Flagler and the staff in L&D- specifically Sandy, Danielle, Cynthia and Karen. They went above and beyond with their jobs and I can tell they really enjoy what they do.

Contemplated on whether or not I wanna review this hospital. Reading the reviews I believe some of these five star reviews are a five star campaign written by staff to help their horrible average on Google. The response that I know I'll get to this is a scripted response, my mother-in-law was released with an amputated foot and cognitive issues to a nursing home at 7: 45 PM an hour away, making it difficult to ensure her medication regiment would be strictly adhered to. We were told they can transfer patients 24 seven. Why would it be the best interest to send someone with memory care to a nursing home in the evening when they should be calming down is beyond me. Social worker works for the hospital. Remember that they are there to help you with questions you may not know, but they do not volunteer information. Nursing staff is hit or miss. Like anywhere some really really good ones. However this review is for the hospital overall. However, one star may seem low. It's the details that matter when it's a persons care we are talking about and discharge of a patient to a nursing facility in the evening hours when they should be going down to rest for healing is absurd Flagler Hospital shame on you I'm super glad to hear the competition is coming to town because you will certainly have to raise your game.

My experience at the hospital has been nothing short of excellent. After my surgery I have spent 30 plus days, twice a day, at the department call Infusion. The staff at Infusion are nothing short of incredible. Very caring and professional. They need more pumps and poles in order to do their jobs more efficiently.

Flagler Hospital is a great medical facility. It is very clean and has a very friendly, polite and caring staff. I can’t say enough goodness about the doctors. They are exceptional and caring. I received a pacemaker yesterday so I was awake in the OR to hear how they do a procedure from gathering together and counting their instruments to closing. I was very impressed. Rodney gets 5 stars for doing my 2 IV’s.

Our son had an anterior hip replacement in Flagler’s outpatient surgery facility yesterday. At 22 years old, it’s not fun to hear that you have to have a hip replacement. Doctors and all of the medical staff made him feel so at ease and comfortable before and after surgery. He had the best care, and as his parents we could not have been more pleased!

Regarding your emergency room, Flagler plus. Because of your Emmi, let's start there. Issues. A study you all are involved with me that I didn't sign my name or volunteer for has gotten outta control. Exposure to a spray at EWR the other day most likely has closed a nasty gash on a vein that could have had me bleed out closed withouy stitches.

I was in the CPPU unit last week. The staff were attentive and treated me like I was a family member. They went out of their way to make me feel at ease and I appreciate their dedication!

A huge thank you to the staff, nurses, physicians, family, and food services and staff at Flagler Hospital for your assistance with my medical issue (back side of the moon experience). As my blood pressure has come back down to normal (from the 220/180) my family and I are truly thankful for your assistance with my full recovery.

As I turn 59 on November 11, I never thought that I’d have hypertension or high blood pressure. As an extreme type A personality, I thought I have a heart attack. So, I cycled and swam a lot. God spared me…I too never realized how much salt is in everything we eat and drink, and never realized there was a recommended amount of 2,000, preferably 1,500 a day. Yes, I take my medication as prescribed.

Boy do I feel dumb. Ignorant, and or uninformed with this salt chip malfunction. Anyway, I’m doing one better, since I was spared. I’ll share the news so I can try and save a life like Flagler Hospital saved mine. CHECK YOUR BLOOD-PRESSURE.

With respect to the Outpatient Surgery Department, the WHOLE STAFF WAS AMAZING! From the point of checking in to pre surgery to post surgery I was very well cared for. I was kept updated with the events of my surgery and so was my husband. The whole process was seamless in both my opinion and my husbands. We could not have been more pleased! Way to go Flagler Hospital!
