Florida Board of Nursing reviews
19Incredibly rude girl who I talked too. Kept spitting information I already knew and when I went to ask a specific question she snapped at me and said let me transfer you and I got put on hold for another hour before I decided to hang up. 2 hours on hold in total for the girl to be rude from the get go.
The worst. I paid to upgrade my RN license to multi state three months ago and NO RESPONSE. Can’t get anyone on phone and when I do, they can’t help. So I paid $100 for a still single state license.
So difficult to get assistance from a person that knows how to fix problems. Wait times are ridiculous and call center staff are not able to help with anything out of the ordinary. Board of nursing call staff not helpful - needing to wait 14 business days to scan a document. No one goes the extra mile to solve problems. This would be unacceptable in most professional organizations.
Horrendous customer contact center. Spoke with an individual that must’ve had at most 1 brain cell. Such nasty attitude and lack of brain function. I am grateful they hung up since I might’ve actually started to get dumber if I stayed on the phone any longer with them.
I to have called many occasions periodically with long waits but never rude always dealth with helpful and maturely I dont think i'm that special. Thank you guys
I thought there was a nursing shortage? Have been trying to reactivate my license since April (which was only inactive for one month). Spent over $300 for fees that don’t even make sense. On hold for one hour then disconnected. Trying again and so far on hold for 40 mins. Zero communication by email related to any deficiencies. Nurses…complain to the Governors office. Also, did you know Florida has more SPECIFIC required CE’s than any other state. No wonder there is a nursing shortage. This is ridiculous.
Well! Guess I won't be working come Monday. I have been waiting weeks for someone from the BG screening department to reach out to me. I've left messages and emails and no reply. Now I'm on hold for 30 mins and counting and still nothing but "call back later, mailbox is full" oh well, on to working phone customer service because this beyond ridiculous.
Unprofessional, they have no intention of helping, they didn't give me any information. I am aware that the documents I sent were received and they tell me no. What should I expect or verify status on your website, it has not been verified since April.
I have been an RN for 22 years and used to dread contacting the BON. I've had to reach out twice within the last few weeks and the process has been so much better. It is more streamlined and the staff are much more knowledgeable and seek out answers if unsure. Kendra in particular was extremely helpful and nice.
Great job FL BON! Keep up the great job!
It is unbelievable how difficult it is to get into contact with someone to help me: email or phone. Very stressful and frustrating.
I gave one star only because you have to! This process and the people answering the phones is horrible! If you’re moving to Florida and are in any type of nursing good luck! The board of nursing in Florida should do better, there’s not a shortage of nursing professionals there’s a shortage of getting licensed in the state of Florida to be able to work because they refuse to do there jobs! Open them doors and let people with licenses in so they can work! Yes it would be a mad house but worth it because over the phone and snail mail isn’t getting people no where!
The ppl who rate F BON this low have NEVER heard about California. Trust me Florida BON is the epitome of efficiency and excellence compared to Cali
Got hung up on 3x after waiting for what seemed like forever and was told that the information the other employee gave me was incorrect and then proceeded to say "whatever you want but you're not gonna like the answer"
I was able to get a hold of someone. She was very helpful in answering my questions and concerns regarding my application to test
Horrifyingly unprofessional to deal with, officials frequently misplace or don't file crucial paperwork even if you happen to reach anyone. The point of government services in the State of Florida is simply to not render them, and the BoN is no different in that regard.
Absolute worst ran department I've EVER dealt with.
What a shame for our profession as health care providers!
I just got my license. Applied on a Friday and had a license on Monday. I called the board to verify it and the lady told me that I got it so quickly because I did everything perfectly. I also already had my fingerprints in the clearing house from a travel assignment that I had taken in Florida prior to moving here. I am still in shock that I received it so quickly. Thank you FL BON. Much appreciated.
Ok. So I am a Canadian Nurse, already in Florida but with no current fixed address as I am travelling in condo's until my application is complete. I have worked here before but let my licence lapse. When I asked where I can get my licence they had no idea. End of story. I stated I could come to any office and they said I could not. I guess if they have no answer thats the end.
I was transferred to another department and they had no answer so transferred back after 70 min wait again. Then again told sorry we only mail them out.
There has got to be a better way then waiting over a hour each call with no answers.
Worst customer service ever, i have wait almost 2 hour to get in contact to one of their representative. The service was not good either.
